I thought Walkabout Bar on 51 had closed? Is it really open? That's been one of THE favorites of mine for late night fun.

I Say Bar! Is almost exactly one block north of Black Cat. It is in the space formerly occupied by Absinthe, if that helps any.

PM me, I have a guy that not only knows the scene but has a nice Lexus SUV with cold AC. Just pay him a fair days pay and fuel he can take you anywhere and help with negotiations with the ladies while keeping you safe.

Hi folks,

I'll be on vacation in Cambodia for 3 weeks end of April until middle of May. Anybody know where to find a tour guide who can show you both the seedy sides of the country and ordinary tourist sites like Angkor what or maybe a beach or whatever as well? Basically I enjoy sightseeing, eating and beer at the daytime and punting, barhopping etc. At night in my holidays.

Would be willing to pay a reasonable rate (like 20-50 USD a day, don't know what the going rate is) for some local to show me around a little, maybe act as drinking buddy at the same time. Or do I just ask some local motorcycle dude to show me around once I'm there? Don't know how safe that is. My first time in Cambodia, so far mostly have had experience in China.

Will be returning to Phnom Phen after a long time, Have used the services of Driver sovan in the past, I think he is still in Jail (never thought he offered the services for which he went to Jail, always a very decent guy showing all the legal places) Any reliable driver used by members recently Rates and contact details would be appreciated.

I would recommend Bun Va if you want to get a car and driver in Phnom Penh.

All transport drivers know the same mongering and tourist sites. But I would highly recommend him because he is honest; he won't scam you or take commissions. He understands the concept of repeat business (unlike most transport drivers).

He has a 1992 Toyota Landcruiser.

His rates are $30 for an 8 hour day; $35 for a 12 hour day. These rates are in the city; add another $5 if you want to go to the killing fields.

His rates are fair. The best you can do is $25-$30 per day (according to Bayon Magazine). But it will be impossible to get those numbers if you go thru anyone (got to pay that Cambodian commission). Plus even if you go thru the owner, you will have to negoitate well if you are a newbie Barang tourist.

he is charged with violating article 28 "procurement with regard to child prostitution". if found guilty gets 7-15 years for victims **** of 18.

he is also charged with article 35 "soliciting for child prostitution". if found guilty gets 5-10 years if the offense is committed as a business. the american paid him nearly 8 grand for the 3 girls. good riddance to him, his partner, and the american.
