Finally crossed over from Kharkov, to Belgorad, not too far from Voronezh. This is the lovely Nataly, who also crossed over from Ukraine to visit her friends. She was in terrific shape, and as such, she completely wore me out. I had her come back 2 more times, the second time for half price, and the last time, for just some champagne and fruit. She just couldn't get enough, my jaw is still sore. Nataly's incredibly talented for her 19 years, she'd had some gymnastics training too, which helped when we played twister, (into a pretzel, that is). :-)

I just have been to Voronezh, and the info posted by Explorer8939 was very useful.

Voronezh is a small provincial city on the Don River. The provincial Russia indeed is very different than the two capitals.

I stayed in Hotel Brno which is in the center: 1000 rbl per nigth, no hot water, sucks!!! It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and doesn't deserve even 1000 rubles. I don't know if there's anything better in center though.

I checked out Sauna Kleopatra and another one whose name I don't remember now. Kleopatra is the most expensive sauna in the city I guess. Sauna itself costs 700rbl/hour, you have to take it for a minimum of 2 hours. That's a general rule with all saunas. Girls were 500rbl/hour. The other sauna was even cheaper: sauna 450 rbl/hour, girls 450 rbl/hour.

In Hotel Brno they deliver girls to your room for 700 rbl/hour. I had one, who was smelly and drunk. We did it once, I didn't want another round, instead talked to her until our time was up. I really pitied her. She gets only 150 rubles out of the 700, works in a store during the day for a salary of $50/month. Many people don't really make more than $100/month over there. Moscow is so far for them, as they cannot afford even the train ticket... Uzhasno!

I called a salon called Elita (tel: (0732) 56-59-59). It turned out that it wasn't a salon. They brought girls in a car to my hotel. I met them in front of Hotel Brno, once I chose a girl, they drove me to an apartment. The price was 450 rub/hour for the girl and 100rub/hour for the apartment. At first I hesitated getting into their car, but all was fine.

Next day I decided to try another agency: Stefani Prestij (tel: (0732) 56-56-40). They operate in the same manner. We agreed on meeting in front of Brno, but they didn't show up or couldn't or didn't want to recognize me for some reason. I had my train leaving in couple hours, so I went instead to Kleopatra again.

Voronezh is managable if you speak some Russian. You'll be subject to curious looks if you look Meditarranian or Middle Eastern and because of your Western clothes. It is a good idea to dress like Russians. I didn't have any trouble, but local people I met repeatedly warned me against Skinheads. In general prices are much lower than in Moscow, you'll feel like a king.

I also checked out the Club Flamingo, which in the same establishment as the Sauna Kleopatra. The entrance on a Wednesday night was 30 rbl, 1/2 l. beer 40 rbl. If you don't speak any Russian you won't have much chance with the girls. But a little bit of Russian goes a long way. It is very easy to pick-up girls, actually it is so easy that you don't really enjoy it anymore.

Sex is very cheap in Voronezh, but all the girls I had were only 6 or 7. It is maybe because I was mongering during the day and on week days. Weekends and/or nights, the scene might be different.

If you have interest in seeing a provincial city and want to do some mongering at the same time, I recommend Voronezh. If you go there just for sex, I think you'll get disappointed. Let me know if you need any further information. I thank Explorer8939 one more time for his earlier postings.

How many days should I allocate for Voronezh in your opinion?

I know can't doesn't compare to Moscow, but still I want to check it out. I will definitely visit the two saunas that you recommended and some salons and report on this board. ***** mongering is good, but I enjoy picking up regular girls in clubs or during the day. What are my chances for such activity in Voronezh?

Have you been to Club Flamingo? Would this be a good venue for meeting nice girls?

I took a taxi to the sauna. When I got there, they showed me the chart of prices, 300 rubles an hour for a private sauna. Then, I asked the dispatcher about girls. She told me it was 450 rubles to have them delivered (300 for the girl, 150 for the driver).

I told the dispatcher that I would use the sauna alone for an hour, and that the girls should be delivered an hour later so I could spend an hour with the girl. This worked out great, because it gave the dispatcher and driver an hour to collect a larger number of girls for me to choose from. Of course, I spent an extra 300 rubles, but the hour in the sauna alone got me all rested for the main course.

I just wanted to warn people who are heading to Voronezh to satisfy their sexual desires.

Lately I have been trying to get info about this city. American and Eurpoean students living there all told me that the city is really unsafe. They all managed to run into trouble: either in a cab, or in a bar or just simply while strolling the downtown. SKINHEADS are apparently a real problem in Voronezh. They dare to attack people even in downtown and without any reason. Many foreign students don't leave their dorms after dark because of them. Especially beware when you go after prostitutes. When the mafia notices that you are a foreigner, you can have all kinds of problems. A student living there told me that once a friend of him went to a *****house. He chose a girl. She took her to a room. They got undressed and then she took him to the bathroom for a shower. When they got back to the room, there were several flatheads waiting for him in the room. They took his credit cards, all of his money and told him to disappear and not to tell anybody anything. Of course he went to the police but police didn't do anything. Another guy was just strolling the main avenue of Voronezh, I believe Revolutskii Prospekt or something like that. Those SKINHEADS apparently didn't love Americans very much on that day and have beaten him really bad and they also took his money. I am sharing these stories with you to warn you. These incidences might marginal, but from what I heard they happen quite often.

So think twice about Voronezh.

I just used the hotel's girls in the hotel, and found outside girls in their natural habitats, ie saunas.

In general, Voronezh is much safer than, say, Cleveland, Houston, or Moscow.

One caveat is that a US student was picked up there for spying a couple of years ago.

I need some advice on Voronezh... I am 24 y.o. white male.

I am thinking of going to Voronezh for reasons other than sex. I wasn't even aware of the existence of this site up until I searched for Voronezh on the Net.

I am studying Russian and I have been thinking about spending couple of months in Russia to practice my spoken Russian. I have already been to Moscow and St Petersburg. To try something new I am considering the countryside this time. Voronezh State University offers Russian courses for foreigners for reasonable prices. What would you say?

Is it safe for foreigners over there? How is life in general? If you could briefly share your experience and advice I'd aprreciate it a lot.

"Voronezh" in Engish means "city of affordable sex", I guess.

The most I ever paid there was $21 rubles (750 rubles), and that was for an hour with some high school cheerleader type brought up by hotel room service.

Voronezh is safer than Moscow, its a smaller city by far. My Russian is awful, I must be speaking a low class of pidgeon Russian. The male locals could care less when they find out I'm a foreigner, the females get all embarrased.

There is a regular club right next to the Hotel Brno, admission is a whopping 50 rubles on Saturday night.
