    DEATH OF A FORUM

Recently, the world has shown little interest in the Peru section of the WSG Forum. This is unfortunate because Peru has so much to offer mongers that travel the world in search of hobby.

I am requesting that fellow mongers help me reserect interest in this Forum. Please contribute!

Lurkers, please register and post. Regular members, please post and become senior members. Senior members, please post more.

Only through a group effort can we elevate the science and art of mongering to new heights. I am doing my best to share my exploits here in the Amazon where no monger has gone before.

Now it's your turn. Please reserect this forum!

    More info on Iquitos:

Peruvians call the people from the jungle "Charapas." Charapa means tortoise. They call them charapas because they talk so slow. The Spanish here is the most beautiful and easiest to understand because they talk very slowly and distinctly. This is just the opposite of the people of Lima where they talk very fast. Therefore the diminutive "Charapita" comes from Charapa and refers to young, beautiful jungle girls which abound in Iquitos.

Previous reports have concentrated on the strip-clubs that are located in the center of town. Sure you can go to clubs like Agressivas (Av. Tacna), Emmanuel (Corner of Napo and Condamine No. 100), the Banana Bar (Putumayo No. 769), Africa (Corner of Raymondi and Pevas), and El Alfil Manosa (Urb. Srgto. Lores S-2) and have a good time. But once you learn about the charapitas here, you will discover that even the strippers here are free, provided you know how to work them. All in all, the strip-clubs are much better than in Lima. In Iquitos, the strippers give all the customers free mini-lap dances every set. There are no rules and everything short of full penetration is permitted. I went to a strip-club with an Irish girl that I met on the airplane on my way here and she experienced her first female encounters (or so she said), beginning with some lap dances. Here in Iquitos, everyone seems to let loose and you never know what pleasant surprises await you.

Sure the strip clubs are fun, but better yet, let me show you the hidden treasures that few gringos get to experience - the less visited plazas and clubs where you can score and have a unique experience away from the pros that specialize in gringos.

Again, if you would like to hang with me, please support the WSGforum. Please register and contribute to the forum. Realize that I receive a ton of emails and meet a lot of mongers, spending considerable time helping them out. Generally it's a pleasure to meet fellow mongers and hang with them. But once in a while, I meet con artists. Therefore, I strongly prefer to deal with Senior Members that take care of local mongers serving as guides.

Currently, I am living and working in Iquitos and know the action here better than just about anyone else. If anyone would like to hookup for some hobby, please contact me at [Email address deleted by Admin].

    Greetings from Iquitos!

Iquitos is a place where mongers come and can never leave.

Within my first week here, I was offered two jobs and inviting to spend Christmas with three different chicas. The people here are exceptionally friendly, and yes, the charapitas (jungle girls) here are incredibly easy. I can't leave; it's just monger-heaven here.

My original plan was to travel down the Amazon River from here and explore the Brazilian Amazon. I've spent the last 6 months learning Portuguese and was geared up for some brasilera-action. I didn't think anything could change my mind - not even the charapitas of Iquitos.

I was wrong. The women are so beautiful here, and so friendly that I'd be crazy not to stay. The girls don't ask for money here - maybe a drink or a meal, but they aren't looking for cash. One friend explained it to me that "Here in Iquitos fucking is like saying hello. It's just the polite thing to do."

My key to success has been my Spanish speaking ability. I learned Spanish and Portuguese by using the Pimsleur System. I have these excellent lessons (www.pimsleur.com and www.rosettastone.com) to share with fellow mongers. My Latina-chasing ability would be non-existent if it weren't for my Spanish fluency.

I've made a lot of great contacts here and I can help you get a great air-conditioned room with a refrigerator and a great view right on the Plaza de Armas for $15 - 20 (normal price $40 - 50). If you want a tour of the Amazon, I know an American that will show you the real Amazon at a discount price. Like myself, he's a biologist and he's much better qualified than the Peruvian guides that tend to take advantage of you because you are a gringo. I just got back from a jungle tour with him. He took me deep into the jungle where the beautiful naked indian girls just blew me away.

I only have one request - that you support the WSGforum. Please register and contribute to the forum.

On the subject of learning spanish, I was able to download the entire Pimsleur Spanish course off the internet for free. Got to winmx.com and download the software for free. Search for Pimsleur and you will find courses for dozens of languages including the entire set for spanish. I was also able to download quite a bit of the portugese lessons but as this is a less commonly studied language there are less people on the net willing to share it. Also for free www.studyspanish.com.

I'm planning a trip later this month. I try to make a trip every couple of months for a week or so. But I haven’t decided where to go for my next trip. I usually go to Cuba, but even though the embargo hasn’t been lifted yet, Cuba is really changing fast, just not the same. So I think these days a better time could be had somewhere else. My Spanish is very good, so I’m at home in a Latin country.

Although I'd be a first timer to SA, if there are nice ppl, a nice pub or hangout, and accommodating women, I'll be at home. I like good rum, cigars and beautiful women. My personal preference is GFE. I only do the serial hit and run in a pinch or until I find someone I like hanging out with for a while. I travel to enjoy/respect the local culture.

I'm thinking about Cali, Lima, Iquitos or San Salvador. But Iquitos seems like it may be rough to get to for such a short trip. Just want to get a little quality mongering in. But based on the forum it looks like I couldn’t go wrong with any of the places. Nonetheless, I have to make a choice, so I would appreciate any suggestions of where to start my first trip to SA.

BTW, I want to thank those of you who have replied to my PM inquiries. Several ppl have really been helpful.

    Hey NR

Actually I'm up for anywhere as of now. I'd like to leave around the 21st of Jan. But thats flexible too. I'd just wanna get a week or so of quality mongerin, in the near future. I read some of the posts on Iquitos. Yeah, it sounds koo too. Is that where you would recommend? Is that where your stayin now? Man, I just checked Travelocity, looks like a pain to get there. Whats the scoop? Is it worth the effort to get to Iquitos for just a 5-7 day trip? Anyway, I'm still open so I can go anywhere. I make a trip every 4-6 week for a week or two. So let me know what you think? You up for a wingman somewhere/anywhere?

    Lemme know your thoughts

    Thanks

    CM

Dan - Your posts are excellent and thanks for your contributions to the board. FYI to readers out there: learning the language will make your travels and chica-experiences 'that' much better. Lessons like pimsleur and rosetta may be a bit pricey, but - if you apply yourself and learn it - will be well worth it.

To quote a fellow monger from Wyoming I met here a few days ago, "The girls here have lived up to their reputation."

Go to a club (e.g. Noa Noa Disco) and the Iquiteñas pick up the mongers, rather than visa-versa. You guys have got to check out the hot action here in Iquitos in the Amazon Jungle!

I getting too comfortable here. I think I have the best room in town right on the Plaza de Armas with a fantastic view of the Plaza and the Amazon River. It's air-conditioned, has a fridge, cable T.V. and I can bring in girls without any extra charges. The kicker is that I am only paying $10 per night. I think the "administradora" likes me. The posted rate for this room is $40. Damn, here in Iquitos all the girls are into picking up gringos. Hotel administradoras, the girls tending bar, and even the strippers in the clubs. I love this town!

If I can help anyone out with info on Iquitos, please contact me.

    Iquitos here I come!

For those of you that have been following the Cusco Forum, I just completed a two month layover in Cuzco before continuing on my journey to Iquitos and Brazil.

It wasn't easy to leave Cuzco. It seemed every one of my girlfriends there wanted to give me one final farewell fuck. What's a poor boy to do? So many cholitas and only one night!

The weather in Cuzco was wonderful during my stay, but soon the torrential rainfall will start (Dec. until March) making it much less desirable. I will return in April, after the rains season.

Anyway, onwards to Iquitos and charapitas. If anyone wants to hookup, please let me know. I should be here for three weeks before departing for the Columbia-Peru-Brazil frontier on the Amazon River.

Iquitos has a decent, if a little over-priced, small scene. True to the reports below, the girls here really do seem to be much more out-front with their feelings and attractions. Very cool.

The SW scene is small and lame. A few girls can be found around Plaza de Armas starting around 10:30-11. More can be found along the river-walk promenade (look at a map to find this), and a few more up the left-side street of Plaza de Armas with the river to your back.

50 soles seems to be the standard asking price. The "girls" (old) are not good looking, and seem a little battle-weary. Watch for very well camouflaged (sp?) trannys.

All of the 4-or-so clubs near the plaza operate on the same principal (more or less). 20 soles to get in (this includes a free pitcher of beer), 50 soles bar-fine if you exit with a girl, 70 soles for a room there (unbelievable!), and about 100 soles for sex with the girl (paid to her in the room). Negotiate the sex-price, please.

I like Bananas the best. It's about 8-10 blocks up the left-side street of P. de Armas with the river to your back. About 10 good looking women on any given night. Some of them were solid 8s. BBBJ no problem.

Walking to Bananas, you'll pass Agresivos (on your right) after about 5 blocks. The door staff are a little grouchy here -- but I managed to get a look inside and found a lot of Peruvian men and very few Peruvian girls. There's another club around the corner (can't miss it) from here. Same situation as Agresivos.

Maybe the second-best club in town (that I found) is Africas. It's about 3-4 blocks to your right, standing on the bottom P. de Armas street with the river to your back. I went there early, but the two girls that were there were cute.

The Yellow Rose of Texas (a bar behind the Eiffel house) has a few barfly girls who'll be your date for the night, the week, a year or your life. They don't expect money per se, but they expect to be supported. I guess this is natural enough. I didn't find any of them good looking.

You'll see the disco Noa Noa (I think that's the name) on the way to Africa. Lame club, but some of the girls might be available.

Iquitos is a big enough city that I'm sure there's a low-end, bottom of the barrel club scene here somewhere (like the ones Nibu's been taking me to in Centro, Lima). If you can find someone who knows them, they're probably not worth going to (along with being potentially dangerous -- I/we almost got jacked at one in Lima the other night). Generally, though, Lima seems very safe.

Again, I don't purport to be a Peru expert. The above is just my close-to-Plaza-de-Armas experiences over about 4 days.

    Happy Hunting,
    JWadd

P.S. Don't stay (hotel) right on Plaza de Armas. The moto taxis are too loud (and constant thoughout the day and night) to get any sustained sleep. Try to get a block or two away. Friends stayed at Hotel Marron, and it looked nice enough for 20 USD a night (they have a pool which is nice in the afternoon heat). It's about 2 blocks away toward Africa/Noa Noa.

    Asuat,

Sorry to hear you had a bad time in Iquitos. I'm not sure exactly why you had a hard time, but would like to offer advise to others to prevent any other disappointments.

If you read some of my earlier posts, you will see that I said, "The *****s are cheaper and better in Lima." Iquitos is a place for amateur action. I prepared for my trip to Iquitos by meeting some Iquiteñas on the internet. Believe me, I wasn't bored in Iquitos, I didn't have enough time to meet all the cuties I had met via the web.

Iquitos is somewhat unique in that there is a relatively large colony of American expats living there. Most hang out at the Yellow Rose of Texas. I spent Thanksgiving there and was invited to Thanksgiving dinner and met a lot of interesting folks there.

Asuat, I would guess from the way you write that you aren't a native speaker of english or an American. I'm not sure, but perhaps this limited your contact with the expats there. In addition, perhaps your spanish-speaking abilities are limited, again limiting your interactions with the locals.

In my experience, Iquitos seemed to be a paradise for sex. I met one Norwegian who had been living there for quite some time and was actually complaining about how promiscuous the women were there. He seemed to be worried about AIDS after having sexual relations with hundreds of Iquiteñas. We went to Agricolabank (an outdoor concert and dance place) together; we were both quickly seduced and taken away by willing Iquiteñas.

Asuat, since you were there for a considerable time, did you have a chance to travel to the Jungle and meet the indigenous peoples there? To me, this is the big attraction of Iquitos - the indigenous people and cultures of the Amazon are really facinating. Did you have a chance to meet the Bora or Yagua Indians?

Asuat, if you could shed some more light on why things went bad for you in Iquitos, this might help out future visitors. Iquitos is a long way to go for disappointment.

    Thanks,

    Dan
