Near the airport, off of LO-103 (Av. Abelardo Quiñones) turn right onto Calle Pucayacu, go to the end of this street, and you find the 5 Chonguitos, all the moto taxistas know where they are.

Not recommended on the locals site. Hours: 6 pm to Midnight.

Remember in Iquitos, "Night Clubs" are strip clubs. I would stay away from Elfin Manoso. 300 soles is way too much to pay for the ladies. Many of the others will allow pretty much everything for a far less price. Got a great BBBJ at one for 50 soles with my hands roaming every where and sucked on her great tits. Forgot the name of the place. Taxi drivers know all of the places. Depending on your age, NOA (disco) may be a place tp hang out. All these places do not get going until midnight or later.

Friends tell me that petty crime has gone up dramatically. The boulevard is still filled with beautiful girls, but most are between 14-17 yrs old. I am too pretty to spend time in a Peruvian prison to even try (yes, I am being sarcastic with the "pretty" remark). Beer is still cold and cheap. There is a new Night Club on Pevas. Filled with Colombian women, YUM. I never partake of street walkers but noticed that they are getting scarcer in Plaza de Armas. I think I need to find a favorite forest spot. Maybe try Tarapota or just stay in Lima.

Please provide some Hotel names in Iquitos near Plaza de Armas.

The only time I've been in Iquitos, I stayed in the Victoria Regia Hotel & Suites (http://www.terraverde.pe/victoria-regia-hotel-suites) and I recommend it without reserves.

It is not all that cheap, but has a more than reasonable price for the quality of the installations and the services it provides.

It has air conditioning everywhere inside the hotel and a swimming pool, just as Sly One recommended, and it is within walking distance (4-5 blocks) of the Plaza de Armas.

Look on Trip advisor or Bookng.com. All hotels in Iquitos are girl friendly else they would not survive.

Recommend you get a place with Air Conditioning and a pool.

I arrived to Iquitos after near three weeks in Lima, to find it was actually cooler (temperature-wise) in the Jungle, than in the big city I had just left.

Go figure.

I had an extremely hot and "roller coaster" of a vistit to Lima, and I was happy to get back to where it feels more like home. Where I could just chill with friends, see all the amazing sights, smells and flavors this little city has to offer. In Lima I got down to 92 kilos. By the time I left, I was 95! In 14 freaking days! I love the food there!

4 I arrived to my usual haunt, a bargain of a little Hospedaje, after my 8 sole taxi ride into town. It is a CLEAN, air conditoned, triple room, within 2 minutes walk of the Plaza de Armas. Where they know my ways and could not care less. (Even when I had a puker on the bed this time, first in a looooong time, their only concern was that I was not sick or needed a doctor) And they even discount my room, because I am very quiet and respectful. For 50 soles per night it is, as we say, like a sore dick. Hard to beat..

Of course, meeting girls is never too difficult, once you get the hang of the place, but I almopst never turn down someone who wants to help. I stated my target age range to be 20-30. The "never ending chain", as a good friend once said to me- makes Peru so special) Anyway, on my way out, the front desk guy, assuming I was another gringo guest, commented to me about how gorgeous the Avianca girl is and would you be looking for some companionship for the evening? Etc. I said "possibly". (since I wasn't really a guest) Would it be too much to ask for two girls for the evening? Haha. He said that would be no problem. Of course I never did get to try that there, but it taught me that the hotel is girl friendly to the point of finding them for you, and that Never count your front desk guy out. He wants to make a little, but the rewards can be, well. Rewarding!

Then back to the hotel, settled in, checked messages, then out for a walk around to view the two legged scenery and get a bite to eat. Two blocks to Aris Restaurant on the corner and while standing there to get my 2 sole soft ice cream, a tap on my shoulder and there is Miss 1, with a big hug and "do you have time? It is Good to see you again" So the two block walk back to the hotel, and I am off to a pretty good start!

So, I kick her out, feeling a little tired and hungry and go to my favorite Pizza spot, looking for Miss 2. Not working, but I will tell you are back Mr. Fiestero, she will be happy to hear it. So, I have a pizza and beers to fill up and dial a few numbers, Miss 3 and 4 are not answering, but I text and they are both available. Oops. What time? Where? My first thought is trio? No, I decide that I am too tried from the long day, and I know from previous experience that one of them is a workout, let alone two? So I opt for Miss 3 for 10 pm. And go for another beer on the Bulevar. It's a Tuesday night and it's pretty quiet. I thought I had time traveled back to my High school prom. The guys were at the bar and here I am faced with a room full of Charapitas in high heels, short-shorts and mini faldas. Let's see decisions, decisions. Smokin' hot, "bored with their boyfriends" ladies in all directions! I picked out a group of four impossibly cute, sexy ones, dancing together thinking, If I am going down in flames, the shots will come from the hottest girls there. Haha. I danced with all of them, but there were these two that warmed up to me immediately. They hugged me & one said, that they both really like Whiskey. And the other one said in my other ear, "somos arrecha". Now if my good friend hadn't told me what that meant, only a week or so before, (for which I am eternally grateful) I probably wouldn't have tumbled to the fact that they wanted to go out to my hotel with me and have a little party. Checked out their DNI's first to confirm birth years of '96, '95. So, for a 50 sole bottle of whiskey, I had two, Misses 7,8, absolutely charming companions for the night. I love this place!

Rested for a few days after that to recharge. Back to the Arandu on the Bulevar mid week and sit next to this table full of people, four middle aged Peruvians and 2 hot 20 year olds. They looked BORED! The guys were laughing and drinking and basically, ignoring these two hotties. They were drinking too, and making some serious eye contact with me. I smiled and nodded. Finally got up to go let the beer back out, and one of them followed me into the mens room! Haha! Awesome! She had "that look" in her eye. Asked if I liked her, and if I spoke Spanish. Me: yes and yes. She grabs my arm and writes her number in pen on it. Looks at me like she's going to eat me for dinner. A kiss on the cheek and, she says" call me" hahahaha! Fuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkk! That was hot. Called the next day but, no contesta. Figures.

I was looking at some property for sale there and had contacted a seller who wanted to show me his land. I told him can you send someone familar with the place to act as a guide. He says yes, the daughter of the caretaker, Miss 9, will get you at your hotel the next morning. Miss 9 is 21 years old, slim, and just the sweetest girl! We start chattering away, and had the best day together. I ask her how many BF's a guapita like you have? Must have many? You are single? How can that be? Lets go dancing! OK. Haha, this is great. Never did meet up with her, after that, but she texts me the next day with a selfie, and then calls and says, she is leaving for Lima next week, lets do something when I get back. : O) haha. Love it.

Last night of the trip, hate to leave that place. Ugh. Anyway, I get a FB message from someone, that is not a friend on FB. But rather a friend of a friend in Iquitos (another girl I know) And it's Miss 10. We chat for over an hour and then she wants to see me. I have to break it to her that I am leaving tomorrow, and I don't know exactly when I'll be back. But lets stay in touch, you sound like a lot of fun. Damn.

So there's my trip report. Crammed alot into two weeks. Hope you enjoyed it and / or learned something from it. Can't wait to go back.
