There are sparse details spread out about King Spa. For a complete newbie to this type of establishment can you give me a very clear rundown of what it is like? Something ultra detailed? No problem with taxi.

When you go in there is a small counter behind a window. You pay S /. 35 or something. I forget. They give you a lock. Lockers are on the right. You can shower. Use hot tub. Steam room. There is a massage room just off the hot tub / sitting area. There is no sex or extras offered there.

To the left is bar area. You can sign for stuff and they have your bill ready when you leave.

There's always a few ladies sitting around bar or the couches.

If you say massage. Piso 2. They'll take you upstairs. You can negotiate a rate. They'll make you sign the invoice copy. Then she'll fuck you. Go back downstairs. Shower. Sit around. Whatever. I usually leave after.

Pay your bill and give them the lock and go flag down a taxi.

It's not illegal so it's all straight up business transaction.

Having been to Trujillo many times and only using king spa, this time I searched the locanto annuncios and was very happy. LOL.

First girl came to hotel for 1-2 hrs.

Next day she brought her friend for a trio. OMG. The friend was great.

Spent a bit of time in Trujillo. The locals definitely like to party and I didn't get too much time for mongering but tried the following:

Chongos:

Bahia Rosa: Asked a couple of taxi's to take me here and they outright refused to go. One offered for 15s but said he couldn't wait there and I may have trouble getting back. Probably easier to sort this out from huanchaco.

Milagro: 10s each way. More than 20 minutes drive from the plaza de armas in trujillo with no traffic. The cabbie that took me said he only did so because I was on my own. Apparently it's very common for people to rob taxi drivers on the route. He also advised me to that I could take a collectivo for a couple of soles and offered to drop me at the stop for free.

I had no problems while there but the cabbie was genuinely concerned for my safety and insisted on staying with me the entire time I was there. Funnily enough as far as I could make out from what he was telling me there was also a prison next door.

I went on a wedensday night and it was pretty slim pickings. Maybe 2 or 3 good looking girls in the whole place and the vast majority were truly ugly, ancient or both. Had a cute girl from the amazonas for 20s who actually gave pretty good service.

Saunas

La Hacienda: Actually seems to be in a nice colonial building. Walked in and asked for a massage was presented with a grandma and told them them politely no thank you and left. I did see a nice looking girl going in after I had left though.

King Spa:

Went here for a few early evenings. Macau it definitely ain't but the sauna is ok. It is clean though. As well as the turkish baths they have a small pool to sit in and a couple of sun loungers to watch the tv and a separate bar. The massage girls sit in the bar which has some armchairs to lounge in. Generally 4 or 5 there may be more later as the place is 24 hours but it does make me miss the lineups of 60-70+ stunners you get in Macau, Peru is a damn sight cheaper though. Range from 5s to 8s.

Many seem to speak English as well. Best of the clubs is Ama, on a Thursday it ladies night so is free for girls which seems to guarantee loads of drunk local chicas. There is another good club which is cheaper whose name I can't remember but is very popular with the students. A word of warning I was fine but it is lower end and there were a couple of fights the night I was there. The locals tell me that they're not uncommon as well as people coming back to finish off with guns.

they have computers for 3/ s an hour, more that double what the local cybers charge. the hotel is big and old and every time someone shuts a door, moves a chair on the tile floor or cranks the tv a little it echos throughout the hotel. power went out from 1130 pm until 430 am, management could not have cared any less. there are plenty of other options in trujillo.

now this is a spa that resembles basic lima spas. clean, jacuzzi, steam/dry saunas. i was presented with a late 20’s masajista.

Trujillo has dense coastal fogs. I had trouble getting in with 3 flights cancelled and had to stay an extra day because the late afternoon flight out was cancelled. My flights were all late afternoon and night. The solution is get the morning flight as the fog seems to be an afternoon phenonomen.

Another tip. Booking your ticket with LAN on the internet. The instructions are not clear but you must get into the last phase of their 3 part program and proceed to seat allocation and boarding pass. This is not compulsory in their program. Failure to complete means that the booking is automatically cancelled which is not obvious and is not pointed out. Not great fun when you front up to the counter with a printed confirmed flight and told that it has been cancelled. No harm done as they had seats available.

Just returned to Bs As, where I live and normally post, after a 4 day business trip to Trujillo. Since the post doesn't get a lot of input, this is a up-to-date report on the experience.

The airport is to the north of the city. Taxis highly negotiable but the right price is S12. Most drivers push for S20. Always get a price before any cab ride, it's normally S3 or S4 but get it.

Be careful in the street markets. I think the street thieves here are the most agressive in South America. I was attacked in quite crowded situations 3 times. On the first occasion they scored a few Soles and ripped my pocket out in the process. Working in teams and very hard to stop once they hone in. So keep your money in your socks and no passports or credit cards unless you are going and returning by cab. And not in your pockets. Night would be much worse.

I stayed at a great hotel, The Libertador in the Plaza de Armas. Once again the price highly negotiable but still the most expensive in Trujillo. I paid U$110 which included a full a la carte breakfast for 2. Reduced from U$340. Not everyone's cup of tea but very good service and great rooms. The cabs outside the hotel want double the street rate but once again can be negotiated to a reasonable deal.

Food all of a muchness. Certainly not as good as Lima can be, the accent on either cheapness or quantity. Not all bad but certainly not all good.

I wasn't mongering so I guess those posts still stand. The local paper, la Industria has on Sunday, a classified lift-out. Under the section 'RELAX', there is about 5 or 6 columns with ladies, all 19 or 20, (what ever happens to older hookers, do they go to heaven or lie about their age?), and a few men, advertising their wares. Mixed up with a few for brothels requiring 'chicas'.

No obvious street prostitution and the Plaza de Armas is really policed and the pride of the city. Don't even think about looking there.

Chan Chan, the pre-Incan adobe city near the airport is worth the experience. I took a Moche tour for S25 plus S11 entrance fees which covered Chan Chan, one of the outer temples and 2 museums. Tour also took in Huanchaco, a coastal resort a little further north. Not much there for mongers; the food much of a muchness with the accent on cebiche and nondescript fish offerings. More a place for the backpacking and doing South America on U$30 a day crowd. I guess in the season, the locals would use it as their beach of choice. Cab fare about S12.

And that is about it. Nice enough city with great archaeological attractions. Great for me and some of my interests but not for everyone.

Hit this club twice in the same week.

Entrance 10 soles. decent variety of girsl. You have to look really hard to find a stunner. Some of the girls need to hit the gym really bad.
