I was at the spot on March 24. It was totally closed down and not a single sign of renovations outside.

I asked a girl in Aleina about the shutdown and whether it would open again and she simply said: "so many soapies have shut down". She had worked for quite some years at Emmanuelle and was now working at Aleina.

Aleina is just a bit further on the road from the Lord's (exiting the MRT station Huai Khwang). Last year I paid 6000 in the Lord's and it was very good (for sex in Bkk, that is). This year (some 5 weeks ago?) I paid 4000 in Aleina. Twice I simply picked the best looking girl. The Lord's girl returned her interest. The Aleina girl less so. Lord's girl was much better but if you really want a soapy then I guess going with a girl at Aleina's that smiles back at you, will not disappoint you. Price range in Aleina is around 3800 with not much difference for the lower and higher priced girls. I don't know about the sideline girls as I prefer a tanned girl and they are rarely on the sideline. I found the friendliness of staff in both places comparable.

In an oily massage parlor the focus is on sex. That means the customer will recieve a hanky panky shower, BBBJ, & vaginal sex along with usually a very ordinary untrained massage before and after the deed if there is still time on the clock. I am sure the girls will be very happy to provide you with a happy ending HJ if that is what you want.

In a soapy there is always a tub and body to body massage and titi fucking in the tub before sex. Soapy girls on average seem better trained and more experienced in the art. The differences between a "Soapy" and an "Oily" blur, but essentially there are certain things that make for a proper "Soapy" massage venue, and it does not really relate to the possibility that the room has a bath.

1. Firstly when you enter a Soapy, there should be a large line up of girls in a seated area, often tiered seating and often behind glass, so that the girls cannot hear discussions between the Chearperson and the customers. Oilies do not have a fishbowl typically.

2. In a Soapy, the customer can sit and order a drink or food while viewing the girl line up, possibly calling girls over to the table to give them a drink or have a chat. The customer is usually under no obligation to choose a girl in a big hurry. You can wait for further girls to arrive in the line up before selecting. Oilies do not provide for customer to sit and eat and drink for a long time and choose a girl much later.

3. Having chosen a girl, she will normally spend considerable time in a Soapy bubble bath getting you very clean before migration to a proper bed for sex (rarely any actual massage in my experience but Thai massage is possible). Oilies don't have proper beds, only massage mats.

There is a swag of Soapies closed down recently, with a pretty much common theme, for the illegal used of Artesian (underground water) considered to be causing Bangkok to gradually sink by 1 cm per year. Even Annies. This does not apply to old closures like Nataree which closed due to age problems, sex trafficking, foreign girls (non Thai), tax evasion etc.

I doubt the Lord would have needed renovations so possibly another one in the same category. It will be excellent for the improved business of the remaining Soapies which tended to have a lack of customers.
