There is no rule of thumb, when it comes to tipping, as you may have gathered from the varying viewpoints expressed in the preceding posts on the subject and, most certainly, you are not obligated to tip i.e. the rate is all inclusive. I often find myself in a generous mood when, at the end of it all, I have that warm feeling of contentment, which one can get in different ways. IMHO, promise of a decent tip can lead to some additional services being offered that, otherwise, may not be on the table.
