Surprisingly good article from The Daily Mail. I went to Ocean just a few weeks before it closed and it was depressingly bad. I posted a report at the time. Unfortunately, the good looking girls are unlikely to end up in the farang scene. I've never heard of any girl making the crossover from soapy to oily and I doubt we'll ever see them on escort sites. Note the last two places in trouble for use of underground water.

There was a faint rumour that Annies might have been using underground water also (illegally). Could this be related to its closure? I know the closure came after an inspection by the authorites. I would say a very good chance at least, and improvement on the "unsanitary" theory.

Chuwit (ex Soapy owner and politician) discusses the Soapies illegal use of underground water on his TV program. I sometimes watch his program as he speaks Thai slowly and very clearly (easiest program to understand), however I missed the episode relating to so many Soapies being inspected for illegal underground water usage.

So I finally ventured down to Soi 24/26, which is amazing since this is my 5th time in Bangkok, but I had to experience it.
