Agree on weight. The Lancet's recent survey of changes in BMI shows a marked increase worldwide and Thailand was no exception. While there are still lots of great bodies there is no plausible argument to suggest those in the P4P business are immune to this trend and it is especially true in the more mature demographic. Personally I don't mind a little conditioning but the belly has to be reasonably flattish. Unfortunately lots of times this is where the extra weight begins to show up first.

I have lived here for over 15 years. During that period the price for P4 P on an inflation adjusted basis remain inexpensive. Prices at oilies and BJ bars are little changed. Some of the tiered rates at soapies are up and go go's are bad value for sure but across the spectrum of Bangkok's mongering universe overall prices have risen less than for example at restaurants or for health care services. Also it helps to know where to go to avoid hyped overpriced tourist traps.

As to the quality of looks and service of providers, this is highly subjective. I feel membership of the Grumpy Old Men's club, pussy fatigue and over familiarity may have a part to play in why some members feel it has gone down. For me a wander around the various Bangkok P4P venues day or night mostly turns up any number of delightful young ladies who give a good time at a reasonable price.

While still possible it's true no longer can one expect it to be the norm that a sweet passive compliant girl will suck an uncovered dick and have a load deposited in her mouth while pretending to be an enthusiastic girlfriend telling him how wonderful he is. For little more than the price of a good steak and a glass of wine she is no longer passive, meek and grateful a fat slob in a tank top who feels his money talks and entitles him to whatever he desires choose her to spend his money on. The world has changed dude, get used to it. Women are no longer in ignorance of the health issues involved in providing sexual services and rightly insist on taking precautions and control of their lives. True they are no longer as naive and innocent as they once were and approach their work with what might be described as a more professional touch. With their smart phones and apps they are more empowered and aware of their worth but that doesn't necessarily mean they are any less skilled or interested in getting you off and they are for this monger at least still the most beautiful and the best value on the planet.

" Had one friend's wife remark that when Farangs first come here, "their eyes don't work. " I kind of agree with that statement. I am not at all attracted to the hard Isaan look. Personally I started to have a bit of a hard time finding what I like in the looks department after about 5 or 6 yrs here. That has only gotten worse. When I am strolling around Paragon, Central World, or a market like Artbox on the weekends I see scads of gals I find very attractive. Some just unreal hot natives and Chinese and Korean tourists. In the P4 P realm very few these days do it for me. The biggest difference I find is in weight however. I used to be able to find gals with rocking bodies everywhere, but fast food and crap food from 7-11 has put quite the damper on that. As far as "compliant" gals, that might be some dude's game, but it certainly is not mine. I like gals who are fun, have dirty minds, are highly skilled, and love sex or at least are good actresses. They have always been few and far between in the P4 P industry in Thailand and there are even fewer these days. "Professional touch?" I wish. Professionals are always honing their skill set and striving to do a better job. Again, few and far between, especially when it comes to the real lookers here. While I have had some great professionals in the oilies, most of the myriad of experiences over my 15 plus years here have been just ok. To warrant the money some of the gals are asking these days the experience needs to be better than ok. As several of us have stated on here, when you are dropping the kind of money you have to now then you don't want to worry about what kind of service you are going to get. You want that guaranteed. Leaving with the thought you wasted your time and your money is not a very good feeling. I have never thought that Thai women were the most beautiful on the planet, but they were plentiful, it was easy, and inexpensive. And BKK as a place to live was incredible value for money.

There is a place that I go to in Ratchada, but I don't know the name. It's right across the parking lot from Taragon. They have a fishbowl on the right when you walk in, but to the left is the sauna side and locker rooms. Its 180 baht and they provide everything needed (shorts and towels) along with fresh fruit and tea. There is a little gym if you feel like getting your heart rate up. They have a sauna, steam, cold pool, and hot pool. They are extremely hot and cold, which I like. They also have a barbershop and legit massage. I have never partaken in the fishbowl girls there, so I don't know prices. The girls look a bit older, mostly 30 ies maybe. But they look good enough in my opinion. The only reason I don't partake there is because I always go to this place with friends that aren't really into the P4P scene (at least that I know of). So I keep my extracurricular activities to myself.

I am probably anti social but I don't see great need to hang out with newbies and wonder where is the fun seeing them make the same mistakes everyone else did. Makes me cringe when a pushy girl collars a newbie and he is too polite to get rid of her quickly or at least ignore her.
