Last night checkout out 2 places as per my guide recommendation.

I am new in this Forum and I am actually staying in Arequipa. It seems the Forum of Arequipa is more or less dead.

Almost forgot to add a report on my January 2012 visit to Amanacer niteclub. This club is located in a rather shoddy part of town above central Arequipa. Either in Miraflores or that was the name of the street. I went there on a Sunday night so it was a little slow, only a few chicks about. One came over shortly after I sat down. She claimed to be and looked somewhat Italian and said she hailed from Puerto Maldonado. Average looking and average body. We negotiated a price of around $75 for TLN and left for my hotel. However, the security guard actually accompanied us in a taxi to my hotel and I paid for his taxi back to the club. That gives you an idea of the safety issues with taxis in that neighborhood.
