I agree with ElKarl that Arequipa is a very nice place to spend time.

Mariscal Castilla street, mentioned in ElKarl's post, is a 3 Sol cab ride, maybe a mile northeast from Plaza de Armas. Club Amanecer appears to be the best known club on that street. It gets rolling around 10 p.m. or later and goes very late into the night. 3 Sol entrance, 5 Sol large beers for men, 10 Sol beer for women of which the lady gets 4 Sols on a commission ticket system. Private rooms for 15 minutes apparently cost 15 soles for the house and I was quoted 65 soles additional for a very pretty woman in that room. Too high in my view for 15 minutes pretty much regardless of services. I did not even negotiate so I cannot comment on whether prices are negotiable or what is included.

Club Africa (next door to Amanecer) was one scary dive when I walked in. I walked right back out. Maybe it was too early, but I doubt it picks up much. I was not immediately sure that everyone dressed as a female was born female. Other reports would be interesting, for all I know it is the best joint in town.

There is a row of fairly seedy clubs on Parra, South of the center, no entrance fee and 25 Sols for a pitcher of beer and a semi-private booth with a girl where touching is apparently standard procedure. I think the girl gets 10 or 12 sols per 25 Sol pitcher and selling the beer was clearly the point. How much touching is allowed I do not know.

El Molino, 327 Calle Villalba in the center, a half block from the Puente Grau bridge, may be a better option if you have money. The club is entered by going down a ramp one floor below street level. The only signage is a set of colored neon sticks. No entrance fee (at least mid-week). Steep alcohol prices (10 soles for a small beer). The place has a good reputation but was pretty dead on Monday and Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. Apparently weekends are hotter. Per manager, women will leave for 1.5 hours at a time, you have to arrange a hotel. I assume they can take care of finding a hotel.

I do not have any direct information on El Molino prices for 'services' or for bar fines, and I did not try to leave with anyone. I have heard that the place has a reputation for being expensive (by local standards) and having very good looking women.

Further reports would be interesting. I was not 'hobbying' and simply provide such information as I have. Not much has been posted on Arequipa even though it is Peru's second largest city.

Nice place, cleaner than Lima as far as I am concerned. I went there for a few days, went to a few places and found a few clubs, not to many though. There are a few on a place called Mariscal Castilla, the chicks aren't up front but you have to start the conversation and the path is cleared. Some of the girls don't do that but most do. Most girls do only dancing from what I saw. I don't know if it is like Lima because i told some of the girls to hook up outside the club for which I gave them a phone number. We contacted and I hooked up with a few, the prices range between 100 soles to 150 soles, depending on the body and the service. As far as brothels or chongos as they are called, there are a lot but you have to ask the locals or a taxi driver, the taxi drivers know all those places. I went with some friends, there a lot of brothels in miraflores, there is this place run by this old lady called " la Gringa " , most of the girls are young ( over 18 ) at this local, on the other places they have a few young chicks but a lot of all ladies mixed with young ones. In Miraflores there are a lot chongos all it has to be done is walk and most of the time there some people outside smoking sometimes. There are some near the private University Catolica, some of the girls are from the University itself, good looking chicks, but some of those places are a bit pricier because they have rooms with showers and stuff like that, these places are more secure and the chicks look cleaner and safer. The prices range between 60 soles to 150 soles depending on the chongo and the chick too. You can go to Plaza de Armas and look for freelancers but be careful because as with Lima you are ti find a lots of dudes dressed as girls . Also, try some of the local clubs at the " Centro " which is how the center of the city is called where all the stores, clubs, banks, and everything is. There are a few clubs near Plaza de Armas, there are a lot of chicks on the clubs and some may want to go screw with you for free, that isn't out of the ordinary but just be careful always.
