The scourge of Samui beaches. Worse on Lamai beach but Lamai had 2 stinger nets when I was there while Chaweng had none. The nets protected you from jelly fish and from getting killed by a jet ski.

It's not even like jet skis were in great demand. But the less customers they had, the more noisy demo sorties they did in order to drum up custom. Fancy tourists boarding a 12-hour flight to come to a beach that sounds like a fomular 1 race track.

Pangan was better (outside moon parties). Huge sandy area inside a stinger net on Haad Rin, hardly any jet skis. The stinging plankton on Pangan was unforgiving though. At one point no one ventured into the water any more. A full-body lycra suit was a good investment. No visible mongering action on Pangan. Happy shakes a scam.

For a beach holiday alone or with GF, Ko Chang or Ko Lanta win hands down.

I'll be in Thailand in January. Taking a lady I know LLT for a few days to Singapore, then a few days in Koh Samui. Not looking to monger necessarily, but have a good time at night. She's from Pattaya so some sort of decent nightlife would be good. Been to Thailand many times, but first time (for both of us. So she says) to Samui.

What attracts guys to Samui? Hard to get to cheaply. Seems to me the beeches become beautiful only about February onwards (different to Andaman side of Thailand). Mongering generally below par. Is it just low prices in low season?
I am sure it has some good points, but never was a favourite for me.

I've been going to Samui (Lamai, primarily) annually since 1999 for the fast and detox cleanse, sometimes staying as long as a month. Over this time, obviously there's been change. From a sex tourist perspective, it's been mostly downhill: many of the bars are either desolate or perpetually for rent. Still, if you have time, something can always be found. A bigger (and worse) concern is the appearance of mass Chinese tourists. Once they overrun and destroy the laidback, relaxing beach, Lamai will be done for. There's also the increasing presence of downmarket retirees (of the ex-military contractor types). After last visit, I went over to Phuket to check out the burgeoning detox facilities there (some are state of the art) but found even more Chinese and the beach an absolute plastic soup. Even so, I'm anticipating a forthcoming Lamai visit and hoping for the best.

I'm too old to enjoy a month of intense nonstop mongering. Samui is a good change of pace.

I've visited Samui October through February and the weather was good enough almost every day. It's a compromise between a relaxing beach vacation and a wild mongering trip. I like Lamai beach much better than Pattaya, cleaner and more relaxing. The bars have few hotties, but I've always found one that pleased me. Certainly the choices are far fewer than Cowboy, Nana, or about 4 areas in Pattaya.

Prices are not too much different than Pattaya. Of course, there is nothing comparable to the top Bangkok or Pattaya areas. The Samui bar areas are more like a smaller and toned down Pattaya Soi 6.

I've also had better success in Samui at meeting non-working girls than in other parts of Thailand. The employees at tourism based establishments seem to be more approachable than in BKK or Pattaya, at least it has worked out that way for me. That has led to success in meeting vacation girlfriends who are more enjoyable than someone I might pay.

When I travel to Thailand, I spend about half my time in Samui and half split amongst better mongering areas, especially Sukhumvit. For my next trip I'll add a week at the Andaman.

My last visit to Samui was four years back. Fwiw, Thankfully, I can hold my own and do not typically come off as a noob to gw. I have about 20 trips into LOS and other punting grounds.

Last 3 years with Visarun breaks, back soon in 2 days. Last 2 years very quite, Bangrak, Bophut, Lamai or Chaweng, all to quite, often not enough farrangs.

So my holidays are ending today and I will go back to Europe tomorrow. I just wanted to share my last experiences with you guys.

Two days ago I was hunting for some boom boom massage again at daytime in chaweng. I walked around the area described by this guy here before with Victoria secret bodied masseuse but instead just found below average stuff. I found some nice fake tits and was almost going for it but then I asked if LB and unfortunately (s) he was hotter than most LOL. But a nono for me so I decided to go to princess again.

I asked for Koki obv and she was there but she just wanted to go for a break on the beach. She invited me to come with her for some drinks and pool and come back after. I liked the idea and joined. 2 other masseuses aged 20 joined. One had a Hello, kitty tattoo so if you are into young teen sluts this would be very nice scenario. Unfortunately the behaviour was very uninterested again of all 3 girls. I paid one round of drinks, won and lost one round of pool against koki and we went back again..

Where do I find these 5 star model girls out there? Agency? I don't mind paying good money.

Lamai, chaweng or Bophut.

Many massage offer extras, not only in hotpants. Was over 2 years in Samui. It was the worst 2 years for Samui, less tourists nearly empty, so I often had one hours massage including CIM for 1000 baht, also the ladies accepted even 1000 baht for LT, Base that many bars empty.

Nightbars in Lamai are good, but too many for not enough tourists.

Dear mongers,

I have been an international monger for the past few years and while Thailand is easily the most accessible market for mongering, I always believed it wasn't the best in terms of quality. Europe and South America by far are much better in terms of beauty, service and experience. However this all changed during my visit to samui last week. Even though the known areas of ark bar and Soni green mango are notorious for mongering and prostitutes on display, I always like to check the periphery where one get to pick fruits at reasonable rates. This strategy of looking around has worked in the past and was proven right once again. There are several bars and massage parlours around the Chaweng strip where one could indulge. Princess massage, Russian girls show etc. Are all good options but on a costlier side without any real value add. So I went around looking to find a deal..
