Another trip, more lessons learned...

This time got ripped off twice. Just remember everytime you go to the border that people who live or come to this area are hustlers and are there for the sole purpose to make money whether legit or not. Now I have been to TJ quiet a few times, and know enough to get around.

So, my trip began in HK bar again. Got some drinks and relaxed. No one hassles you and just seems like one of the better places to hang out. Did not get bothered about getting lap dances once which is always nice.

Then off to the street to check out the scene. Saw this one puta who was tall, skinny, nice overall body and a pleasant face. Got her and took care of business.

Then off to check out some of the other bars, including AB and CC. Mostly just checked out the club and the talent, but did not stay and drink any beers.

This is where things start to go downhill. Went to this strip club on Revo. Its called Peanuts and Beer. This place was just sooo bad. First, aside from being hassled every, literally, two minutes to get a dance from both the strippers and the waitressess (more like barkers for the stippers), the beers were $4 for just one. Secondly, the strippers were abnoxious, they spilled my beers twice, once all over me, some were high and drunk. They would not take no and leave you alone, they would force the issues by stradling you - avoid this place cos it cathers to the college crowd with these tactics.

This is where I got ripped off as well. These stippers were coming over and stradling me and when the beer spilled on me I was in the process of paying and just as I was getting up to avoid getting more wet, the money must have dropped out of my hand and the stripper must have picked it up as I was wipping myself. I noticed that my money was not is my pocket and realized what had happened, so I immediately left.

Should have headed straight for the border but still had some cash in other pocket, you would think this is good - read on. Him: Goes through all my pockets (especially the two front ones, I was wearing cargo pants which have many pockets) Hands me the contents like, he acting legit.
Him: Lets see your ID
Me: Give me US ID
Him: No standing here for more than five minutes, lots of drugs here. Your hat was too low and you look like a "cholo" (mexican gangster).
Me: Ok, gracias and walk away

Left pocket there were two separate set of bills, one with smaller change and the second with two 20's. He hands me the one set, which I think are both sets, but when he leaves the set with the higher value is missing - he took it. I did feel him go throught the side pockets twice and did not bother to open the side tigh pockets on my cargo pants. So - Great, got ripped off again. What do you do in this situation? Confront them and ask wheres the rest of the money or say gracias? Perhaps Country John has some words of advise?

After this I had just about had it and was so glad to be heading the the US. It just seems that, in some situations no matter how hard you try to be anti-hustled, its happens it TJ since the hustlers are going to get there money.

Oh, yeah finishing thought. Do NOT walk with the barkers that want to show you around. Saw these two Americans in cuff and the barker showing them around was taking something, most likely drugs, out of his shoe and giving them to the Mexican cops.
