Some "friend" dumped her 12 year old girl on her because the friend's husband left her, now this filipina in Davao claims that she is responsible for this 12 year old (meaning that I am responsible to support this kid that I have no connection with). Who does this? This one also asked for money to build a spa, put a fence around a building, etc. And fly her friend from Manilla to Davao to stay there.

-Third, filipina in Manilla asked for 10,000 P to "top off" her bank account so that the bank would not close her account (supposedly needs to keep 20-25 K P in the bank). I asked "so how will you live since you are on lockdown with no job if I top this off?" What nonsense is this?

-Other various and sundries excuses for needing money include: 1. Need to buy a new phone since mine broke; 2. Taking a course and need tuition fees, etc.

Honestly, these girls really have NO shame to ask for money. Reminds me of my time in Africa where they said "if you don't ask, you can't be turned down".

I guess I don't understand the bizarre nature of life in the PHIL. As in living hand to mouth, etc.

I've been hit with all of those and asked to "spin" the wheel on Meet Me, Tagged, Skout or whatever app so that they can make their "goal" and cash out.
