The family is willing to help all of them. The problem is that there's substantial documentation and related paperwork that must be completed by the mothers, some of whom can't cope with it. Then, there's the $350 per test cost of the DNA analysis, plus a required trip or two to the embassy in Manila. These factors collectively are a daunting obstacle to some of them, and I doubt that the process will be completed, with the exception of one mother / son who live in Davao. The problems associated with this whole mess are significantly worse than what I've indicated above, but I don't really feel comfortable sharing all of it publicly. Suffice it to say that in the end, I believe only two of the children will wind up with citizenship.
