For most Filipinas working as caregivers here in Canada is easy to get a PR, all they need to do is work for 2 years as a caregiver, and then you can apply for residence, they can even bring their kids and family when they apply, I seen a friend of mine bringing her kid to Canada after working 2 years here, her kid (living in Philippines) and her got their PR in less than 3. 5 years living here.

About the expenses, the first 2 years they must work as live-in, so they don't pay for rent and food since they are living with their employer.

After they get their PR, usually around 3 years (2 years before they can apply and 1 year for the application process), they can be live-out and work anywhere.

I have dated many filipina caregivers with PR (some without PR) what they usually do when they get their PR is they will find an apartment and either rent it with friends to save money, or they rent it by themselves, most filipinas I dated they live with roommates and sometimes parents, very few will rent it by themselves.

Some of them will stay with their employer as live-in and only rent as weekender, most will change of career, study nursing or whatever career they had back home, they get student loans and work part-time as a cashier or cleaning offices / houses, usually the young filipinas do this.

I had seen afew working with minimal wages and then later on deciding to go back as caregivers because they will get pay more, a caregiver with PR gets pay more, they can easily get pay $600 to $800 a week depending of their employer, minimal wage in other jobs is only $500 a week after taxes. Plus you add the benefits caregivers get like employer paying taxes, Christmas bonus that can be from $1000 to $5000, that's how much a rich employer will give to a filipina they like alot, they also get birthday gifts, metropass, if you have license they pay you more for driving their kids everywhere.

Over in my country, you at least need to obtain a bogus college diploma from a bogus college and show you are in a bogus job before getting PR. Slightly easier than becoming a care giver. My regular masseuse in Manila just informed me she has submitted her passport application to go to Canada. I will be 64 in a few days, however I do look younger than that by about 10 years. (I was asked for my ID going into bars at home when I was well into my 30's and legal age there is 18). In all honesty if I got rid of the grey could get away with claiming late 40's.

Yes, that's a good idea. But how do you manage two FB accounts?

I tried this in the past. Putting up a short term FB account for mongering. But the facial recognition algorithm that FB uses on photos, always finds a match with my real FB account.

I'll take a stab. While the pinay is possibly expressly lying to you (or me; fake needs maybe), the fake FB, while lying, is not necessarily lying to the pilipina. Instead, its lying to all those who you don't want to know that you have another life (family or close personal friends from home possibly). My fake FB page does not even have a profile pic on it (others suggest using a non-descript guy from google images or such). Using my FB page I don't lie to anyone, I am clear about my hobby and prolific activities. The fake FB page (for me, and some others) is not an advertisement or way for girls to find me; it is a way for me to engage others without their knowledge of who I am (until I deem it needed to send my pic in PM), and also hide my hobbies from fam / personal friends. It is possible to have what appears to be a an empty, non-descript FB page utilized for the hobby. Its easy to think you need SOME kind of picture of a guy on there, but not only do you not need that, but simply picking a popular photo from Google might get your account deactivated by FB.

When I chat ladies on PM on FB, there are no lies needed by myself. I have many FB friends (you don't need to make those visible to anyone), 90% are female and they are in my FB for all the bad-girl reasons you can think of (the other 10%, obviously male, are added for other reasons).
