Corruption, bad service, no consumer protections, no health standards, bad internet / infrastructure, useless police / judiciary. It's really a messed up Country. And beneath their smiles, many despise white people here. Very discriminatory both officially and unofficially.

Really, I cannot wait to get out of here, but I will have to learn a new language in the places I am interested in.

You are correct on all counts Sir. I'm in contact with a Pinay maid from Tarlac City who works for an Australian expatriate family in Singapore. This is very dated, but I doubt much has changed.

There were several discos / club that would open on Sundays around noon and stayed open until early evening, that were specifically geared toward maids who were "off" during those hours.

BBBJ and BBFS are universally available. A very small number may say CFS is required while in the bar but I've never had this insisted upon when in the room.
