What Maria was it?

She just said her name was Maria. She is about the same color as Mary (see photo) but slightly darker, has straight, jet-black hair. About 5'7" and has a sister who is taller.

She is to be avoided...

Still working on my 4-day trip report, but I came back to the states in the middle of finals, so of course that takes higher priority.

In the mean time, here is some photos from my trip. No faces. I have been cautioned by other members not to do so because there are a few people who feel it is their duty to rat us out to the chicas, and I don't want any shit upon my return.

You pay ten dollars for a tourist card when you arrive,not when you leave.

You actually pay $20 when you leave but they now include it in your ticket.

If you are flying from Canada you will need to purchase a tourist card for $10 when you land. You will also be required to pay $10 (exact amount, no change will be given) when you leave. This is for flights in and out of Canada, if you are flying out of the US you will not need to pay the $10 when you leave.

If you fly on Westjet from Canada your tourist card is included in your ticket and will be handed to you on the plane.

Also is there a tourist fee at the airport. I remember hearing something on th boards but was not sure. If so how much and can it be paid once I land rather then do it when leaving.

Going to be hitting BB's for the second time in dec 7-14 (will be the pasty white canadian who has not seem the sun for a bit LOL). This time going to do a bit more of the touristy type stuff during the day for about 2 of hte days I am there.

Anyone interested of walking around PP or hitting the cable car up the mountain etc let me know.

The chicks that I met were from different areas, one from Santiago, one from bani and another one from San jose de ocoa wich is a small pueblo close to bani. In ocoa a lot of the chicks are light skinned.

If you speak some basic spanish picking up chicks should be pretty easy in any part of the country.

I must add That I'm a native spanish speaker, I was actually born in DR and I'm only 26 and look descent. But From what I've seen in DR chicks don't really care all that much about looks as long as you treat them right and have some cash to take them out. A lot of these girls will sleep with you just because they think that you will eventually send them money or marry them and bring them over. I usually just hit them and than run. LOL

You are the greatest, I love that last sentence. It is absolutely poetic, and the way it is supposed to be. You are giving these chicks what they want, it is a fair deal all the way around.

Mani I tried to PM you but it says you won't accept PM's. I'm planning multiple trips to DR this winter and would like to meet girls from abroad rather than sitting in Sosua all the time. I've got lots lined up to meet, just have a few questions for someone who seems to know his way around the island. I know basic spanish, enough to get by. FunInTheSun

But I discovered that those areas have more dark skinned girls that I am not interested in. How would I meet girls like what you posted mani domi? Santiago will have many lighter complected women. Good Spanish is a necessity for Santiago. It is not a tourist town, but it does have an array of things to do. It's the second largest city in the DR.
