Your experience seems to bear out my own. The girls up the hill often give much better service than the ones in the alley. And the "older" and less attractive ones very often give much, much better service than the 19 YO hotties.

Oh, and the hotels weren't actually overcharging. Ther're just stupid expensive. The half-hour rate is $12 or 13, so the hour rate will be $24 or 25. Same goes for most of the other hotels, they're just cheaper.
