"Poço" refers to the name of a street of downtown Lisbon. You'll get the exact location entering "Poço do Borratem Lisboa" in the Google Maps search box.

There are no strip clubs there. Only 2 or 3 downscale cheap brothels in the vicinity.

Prostitution in Portugal is not illegal, but also is not regulated in any way. A police officer is always present in that small street, but does not interfere with the girls business. Occasionally the police raids that street (and others) and take a few girls (illegal immigrants) for identification inside the nearby police station. A few hours past, they are working again. As long as you don't perform sex in public you should be ok on that matter...

There are several posts about Poço here in the Lisbon section. Just read them and then go and choose your romanian working girl.

The pension is not the most shabbiest place I have ever been, that would be a brothel in Cambodia, but the Pensioa came close. They are now renovating the staircase.
