The destination is known or used to be known as a prime visa run spot with cheap sex and everything else.

I will be in Svey Rieng for a couple of days and would like to know if there is any action available. I am quite happy to sample low end / local service if that is all that is available. This question was asked here on this board back in 2011 by another member but received no response. Hopefully someone has been lucky since. Please help a poor man addicted to our hobby.

Reporting on Poipet.

Small town. A moto ride from one end to another is 10 minutes (maybe 8).

The place to monger are the KTVs and MPs. A moto would be able to find them.

I went to 2 KTVs but my Khmer was so bad they could not accommodate me, so I left.

MPs they have 2-4 girls that are 5/6. Never saw a stunner. There was one road with 3 MPs next to each other. Selection was better there. I went with a 19 year old who was pretty much a dead fish. Looks: 6. The room was like a tiny shack with just a bed and a fan. But it was only $20. I'm sure I could've bargained lower, but I didn't feel like it because all these MPs are the same, and I didn't want to visit anymore. Would not repeat. I was spoiled by Thailand.

Although I had planned to spend the night in Poipet, I left that night in a taxi to SR. I knew this place had nothing more to offer.

I was there last month. There are some semi-pros and students. No night-life.

Very nice place if you have the time to relax and monger with Patience. The river is a good place to chat.

Going around town there are 4 chickenshacks. 6-8dollar for the kymer. 10usd for the Vietnamese, slim but don't expect much service.

Even thought Battambang is a provincial city, there are bars, restaurants and discos that are open late. Stop by a joint called Madison Corner on 2. 5 street to get the low down on any action. The French owner should be able to clue you in. On the east bank along the river, I would highly recommend Asean restaurant. Great food, continuous entertainment with a pleasant atmosphere. But what I noticed while dinning were several beautiful women walking around dressed to kill. I believe the place doubled as a KTV with private booths and ST rooms upstairs. Would have investigated further but I had my Khmer lady beside me. Please report back any findings. Good luck!

I've already been at Madison before your message, and met the French owner, but in this peak period Cambodia is packed of old couples, even there in Battambang. Yesterday he's chatting with one of them for a while, and I didn't want to go into conversation with ISG themes.

Finally a tuktuk guy brang me and other Spanish guy to a disco called "Sky" (I guess it's in 208 st.) looks like KTV / gogo with pretty poor choice, and there were also a dozen of western / backpackers not really intersted in mongering. I've been lucky that one of the waitress were actually working during the morning in a bar I took a coffee, and she recognized me. Asked me 40$ for LT after this Sky closing (1am) , I said 25, she said ok (probably even 20$ would be accepted). Wasn't so hot, but probably I got bored as I drank 10 beers waiting for 1am. I missed Asean restaurant, probably was better choice as I didn't see any beautiful there at sky but thanks anyway.

Anyone has had recent tours in this city? It's supposed to be the second largest city in Cambodia. At 10 pm everything is locked, any bar although a couple of restaurants. Even the tuk tuk guys (normally here in Cambodia people without any moral, if you can play I normally get them) were sanctimonious, I was trying to speak about sexy massages at least, and one of them brang me to a freaking NGO Blind massages! I've one more night here, but I guess I'll go to SR or even going back to PP. I've to wait till 8th to can go to Thailand. If anyone has decent tips, please share them.

Don't go to BKK as the yellow shirts are going to occupy all the main streets from the 13th. If the redshirts decide to confront them, expect a bloody end. Even the airport may be closed.

Actually it is most likely you will get off the bus here. This is the town that they make their half way stop these days. But have fun in SR plenty to see and do there.
