Dubai - Hotel Information

[Bumz Rush]

This is perhaps the most difficult hotel to reach on foot, by car or taxi.

I live in Dubai, and needed to visit the hotel.

Took 3 passes by car to get close to hotel, and over 1 hour driving. FROM Dubai Mall.

It is in the middle of a building site, with a big water feature between you and the rest of the world. This was the cause of the 1hour drive.

Taxi drivers do not know how to get to hotel either.

Go to any other hotel, you will be much happier.

CITYMAX is a better choice. Generally GF and sometimes they do ask for I'd sometimes they don't notice. Its your luck at that point of time if there is some sort of security present and attentive. I prefer to Checkin first and wait for my companion to arrive later. Thereafter I just escort them up. Although my last visit was around 45 days ago am not aware of the current scenario if there has been change in policy.

That pretty much echos my experience with CITIMAX in early April as well.

Seems Murooj rates don't look very good anymore.

Does anyone know if Radisson Downtown is green? Says its walking distance to Dubai Mall, are there any spots nearby or even within the hotel?

The radisson is certainly not walking distance to the mall. In fact it is in the middle of a construction site at the furthest point of business bay. I highly recommend you choose another hotel.

Interesting that the Ramada Bur Dubai is less friendly than previously. Original passport / I'd needed and 2 girls not allowed! One wonders is this a genuine rule or a money-making scheme for the security guard!

While it is true that Ramada has a couple of dedicated guards at the elevator (one male and another female!) , it is still quite girl friendly. As mentioned, female african nationals would probably have a few issues. But generally they just take a copy and let go. If calling someone to your room, it is probably better to leave a word at the reception.

I've been to the Grand Excelsior Hotel (boat shape hotel) a month back, very satisfied. Called my regular filipina, went to disco and then get to the hotel around 1:30 am, the basement park is very convenient and hotel is a 4*

Last time I was At Murooj Rotana was green. Lots of hooks coming from the restaurants on the left when you enter the hotel and going up to the rooms. Nice Hotel by the way. I did not have time to full around but it seems that the action is in the lebanese restaurant of Rotana. I hope this helps.

I am arriving Dubai on 11th and staying at Majestic. Can someone tell me if Majestis is green. If I book a gal from escort site and call her in my room, is it possible. If not then If I come along with her and walk into room. Is there are chance that someone will stop us and ask, is visitors allowed in room?

There are conflicting reports. I was too booked to stay here in March but decided otherwise when it was not clear to me on their policy change if any. Thus I went ahead with Park Regis which was around 150$ and totally GF. There is also Four Points (Khaled bin Waled) in same vicinity which is also GF if you are unsure on Majestic.

You can try the night clubs on Saturday evening you have lot of options like Cin Cin, Amika, Cavali, Neos Bar etc. These places have a far less ratio of WGs than other places you might have read about.

I will be in Dubai for the first time, and I was booked in kempinsky. Landing Saturday leaving Tuesday. Is the hotel girl friendly?

Also, what are the mongering places close to the hotel? I hear of bur Dubai, that is far? Any clubs or places where I can go and have fun there rather than having to bring back someone to my room?

Or if not, any place where I can just go and spend some good time looking / chatting up gals, and maybe a bit of fun without the hardcore stuff.
