Dubai - Hotel Information

Hi brothers,

I am coming to Dubai next week. I was thinking of booking a nice apartment at Marina on AirBnb. It always works for me in Europe. It's more secure and private and you can entertain who you want in your apartment. Anyone can visit you at any time too. I am however not sure how will the experience be in Dubai. Can any one of you please give me some advice.

No Citymax is absolutely RED. Even with ID at the counter not possible. Don't waste time there.

Greens hotels Dubai as of November 2016.

Media Rotana Tecom, I have had male guest to my room in hotel for the past five years, even overnight stays no problem.

And have seen WG, s coming in to visit guest, security is on very late at night, after midnight, so WGs entering this late may be stopped.

Somewhere Hotel Tecom, I have visited a few guys at this hotel, and never been asked to show my ID.

Marina Byblos, until 2 am.

Crown plaza SZR.

Motel One Media city.

Then it appears, sir, that you are venturing into unknown territory. My advice? Stay at the hotel, and either while you're there or shortly after you return home, report back on this thread whether you found the hotel to be "red" or "green. " And if you go even farther and contribute a trip report, you'll really be doing your fellow mongers a huge service.

I can confirm the hotel was super green. Never asked me or my friends why we are bringing company.

One needs to use to room card for the elevator though in case you are thinking about inviting a "friend" directly to your room.

As far as I know Ramada Diera is green if you check in both together.

Different nationality still OK.

This what I had been told by reception today.

Did you try to bring guest after your check in?

I used to stay in JW Marriott Deira for the past 3 years without any hassles, now that it has turned RED.

PLease help me with the status of the following 3 hotels.

LE Meridien Airport.

Sheraton Dubai Creek.

Crowne Plaza Deira.

I have seen from past postings that these were green, but you never know with Dubai.

Help regarding the colour of above 3 hotels appreciated guys.

Hotel H Dubai is green. Met a WG yesterday and she confirmed its green.
