Hi,
It's my first post.
If you want visits in your room, avoid Towers Rotana. Location is nice but they don't allow visitors. It doesn't matter what type of Guest.
Towers Rotana on SZR = Red.

Posts: 204Park Regis Kris Kin Bur Dubai
I have stayed here before but was annoyed with the 1 girl only rule. I got a promotional email from them today with some offers, I took a quick look and it was quite good. The suites did look good VFM so I decided to give them a call. I was pleasantly surprised by their response to my question on their guest policy. I don't think anything got lost in translation as my questions were direct:
What is your guest policy?
Can I bring a guest?
Does she have to register when I check in?
Can I bring a different guest everyday?
I was told I could bring a guest, she just had to have ID and needed to register. I asked about more than one guest, he said that was ok as long as they were registered. I asked him to confirm the following, if I was to bring a different girl everyday would that be ok. His response was yes, please come.
So this appears to be good news. Maybe they need the business or are relaxing the rules for the EXPO. Don't book this hotel based on the above. If anyone is bored or free, feel free to call them and corroborate what I was told.

Posts: 18I've been monitoring hotel prices in Dubai for a while because of a business related trip early next year. The prices, as others have noted, are mushrooming even several months out. From the frequent flyer / travel forums I visit the consensus seems like the hotels are severely overvaluing the draw of the Expo. The expectation from fellow travelers is that occupancy from the Expo with regard to the soaring rates will prove to be a disappointment for hotels and that rates will quickly adjust for the later parts of the events (it's running for 6 months after all) will come down.
So my advice for those planning travel to Dubai is to not make any (non-refundable) reservations just yet but try to push out your visit as far away form October as possible.

Just checking what are the best options (green for ID registration & pocket friendly) for a short stay in a hotel (couple of hours check-in without luggage) with a WG (she may have passport as ID).
Any suggestions towards Jebel Ali / Tecom side would be highly appreciated to utilize max time for booty call rather than driving to deira side.
TIA!

Occasion may present itself to have an escort in a hotel room along with my wife (at the same time).
Is this going to be possible? Wife will be present at check in, escort almost certainly not.

I stayed here for a couple days recently just to have a cheap base near Tecom. The front desk was adamant I could not have visitors so I am going to consider this place red unless someone else has information to the contrary. Not a problem for me as I was only doing incalls.

But the Nassima has a fantastic Indian restaurant. From memory its a short hop from there to the crowne plaza so should be well served on the after dinner dessert as well!

Posts: 185Hotel rates increased by an insane rate obviously due to the grand event. Will mostly relocate my sexapade to Aj until it cools off a bit.

Hey Ricky I have stayed here on one of my recent trips to Dubai. 4 months ago. Yes you can register different guests on different nights. You could also bypass by heading to the restaurant if you are so inclined. But I think you should register. Easy peasy.

Posts: 204Sheraton Grand & Nassima Tower Hotel Apartments
Hi Everyone, I hope you are all safe and well. I will be coming to Dubai soon, this will be my first trip since the lockdown and I'm really looking forward to it. I want to stay on the SZR this time and am looking for some recent intel on the 2 hotels above. I normally stay at the Burjuman Arjan Rotana or the 4 points Sheraton but I want to be on the SZR this time. I am a Marriot Bonvoy member and was looking at the Sheraton Grand. I have read the reviews on this place and it looks ok for mongering. I don't have a problem with a girl having to register as long as different girls are allowed on different nights. Does anyone have any recent intel on this hotel they can share?
I was also looking at Nassima. This looks like it could be similar the the Burjuman Arjan Rotana in the sense its a hotel apartment. Does anyone have any recent intel on this place they can share?
Thanks!

Posts: 65Grand Cosmopolitan Barsha. Greener than most
Will post the full FR in Dubai reports, but stayed at the Grand Cosmopolitan Al Barsha on Friday, can confirm it's totally green. I took 2 girls up to my room, one at 10 and the other at 1 am. Only checked in the 2nd girl. The hotel itself is quite good and very affordable for a 5 star, paid 300 for the Superior room.
Should mention, was sitting in the Americano cafe with the first girl before heading up, just nodding past reception. Second time around went and checked in the girl.
Cheers,
Prodi.
