The Crowne Plaza, located on Shaikh Zayed Road, is a guest friendly hotel.
The reception area is buzzing till 1 or 2 am and most of the times no one stops anybody. Around late night 3am I was stopped and the girls just handed their passport copies to the concierge. I didnt even step up to the reveption desk. The fellow took the copies from us, asked my room number and we stepped into the elevators. Simple. Hope that helps someone.

Posts: 1010I tried to post this earlier, but had trouble wiht postings:
I have taken ladies to my room at
1. Le Royal Meridien Resort, (Jumaira Beach)
2. Le Meridien (Airport)
3. Al-Bustan Rotana (Near airport)
BIG Problem for me: All of the hotels wanted a copy of her passport/visa, which the ladies carry with them.
But it can be such a downer having to go to the reception desk and have the clerks look at you funny (maybe my imagination?)
But it is for your own safety. Having said that, I still HATE it!

Posts: 369From my personal experience the following hotels are 'friendly'. The Ramada Continental by the airport, the Marriott, the Sheraton by the creek (can't remember the name), the Sheraton Four Points and the Hilton by the Creek (it's the new one).
From previous postings, the York and the Hyatt are NOT particularly friendly, nor is the Regal Palace. From personal experience the Sea Shell is VERY unfriendly. However, that still leaves a lot of others.
Good luck.

Posts: 120Let me be the first person to post here.Folks, I am extremely concerned about where I should stay during my trip.I want to stay at or near a place where there are bars and discos.I have chosen Hyatt Regency,Novotel and the York Hotel.I understand the York Hotel is a three star hotel, but I am willing to stay there. So,where do you folks say I stay in. I will be happy to post a report here when I get back from Dubai.
