I recommended a Hilton, they have got nothing to do with Rotana and I think you are getting confused.

I stayed in King room. This hotel is new and it had a large walk in shower. Take a look at the pic's on their website (Hilton).

I feel allot better knowing that the girls ID and mobile number are logged at reception, and on safetly level I think the girls prefer it too.

I feel the same way. However, has anyone else noticed that some girls (Uzbeks from my experience) are actually using ID's of other girls and are getting away with it? I know at least 3 Uzbek ladies that are using Emirates ID of other girls left and right, and no one is noticing or not bothered. I mean I had to just look at their ID once and could tell that it was not their ID, so found that very odd that they are able to pull this off without consequences. Pretty fucked up if you ask me. So in those cases, ID checks don't mean shit as they'll nab the wrong girl if something goes wrong. Mobile number is also not verified, girl can give any number.

That was the old rule and now unmarried man and woman can safely stay in the hotel together. You are not breaking any law. Registering a girls or any guest staying in the hotel is for your safety and it is mandatory hotel policy. If you want to take her without registering is your choice. There are many hotels like Marquis or Meridien at airport with large lobby where you can sneak your girl in. I did it many times with my girlfriends whom I don't want to register to protect her privacy. Hotels in Dubai have became more liberal.

Couldn't agree more. The validity of this whole thread is becoming a mute point and its existence only propetuates outdated notions. Hotels that were once red now receive my outcalls at reception, call me in my room to ask 'shall we send her up? In fact, I've started to order duos to my room and hotel reception would say 'shall we send them up? And I can do this on a nightly basis, timed with a bottle of wine and some light bites. It is no longer a question of law. Just a matter of hotel policy. Just avoid the hotels that are clearly family orientated, dry hotels or hotels that are running some sort of 'visitor-fee' scam for your guests. I. e Broadway and the like. Most others will be totally fine so long as you are not a nuisance. Sneaking a girl into your room is an armature move in today's Dubai in my opinion.

Wanting to protect your (or her privacy) if of course your right so that is your call on balance with security.

I am thinking of doing a few days towards the end of May in Dubai. I normally stay at the Burjuman Arjaan by Rotana. Dubai.

But would like to upgrade to something nicer, ideally with a walk in shower for two or a larger sized tub for two.

Any recommendations or ideas appreciated.

Have come to Dubai just recently.

I do know of one hotel which has a direct entry into the lift almost from the road. This entrance is in the backside which has a small lobby but it is never manned.

It has a glass door which leads to the lane behind and can only be accessed by the room key.

So the guest can easily open the glass door step into the so called lobby which is not manned and take the lift up.

There is never a soul present in this lobby. Felt it was quite convenient.

Then don't know if I can mention the hotels name in the open. Anyone who needs can pm me. Happy to help.

I know few hotels where you can directly go from Parking to your room without anyone bothering you. I have been using one such hotel twice in a month. You do not have PM so can not share. If Hotels know they are being discussed openly they may change the lift protocol.

If you are in this hobby WOS is part of adventure. No one at hotels is really bothered about it. For them it is regular event happening every day / night.

The Pullman Deira City Centre used to have this (hotel / apartments) but even if you come through the mall into the hotel and direct to the room as Aimara said, there is security (at times) or the cameras pick you up and will call you and ask for ID etc.

If you are shy then you can't be a monger LOL Discreet I understand the shy bit I don't as WOS I have dine, seen a few times in my life and you get used to it, the hotels know it happens and are non judgmental so why worry.

Can't think of a single hotel, however I do remember staying at an apartment on JBR which had elevators up from parking to the floor. That maybe your best bet if you really are that shy, Raffles has elevators up from parking but they bring you out to the elevators on the ground floor, which you then take to your room. You don't have to walk past reception however historically they have security stationed there in the evening after 9 pm. Its pot luck, sometimes the guy will just say good evening sir and off you go, once or twice I was asked me to register my guest which I did and all ok.

Just my 2 cents, but I think this WOS thing is a bit over-hyped, I have been at this hobby in Dubai for at least 15 years and I have never once had the girl turned away. If you are in the hobby, enjoy it, why do you give a bleep what someone else thinks?

Dubai is a country where it is an offence if an unmarried couple stays together in a hotel room and each year a few couples getting punished because of this (also foreigners). Therefore registration of a girl under my hotel room no is definitely not a good idea since I do not want to leave the evidence of having broken this crazy law and probably getting in the best case a record in the files of the LE or in the worst case getting prosecuted. But I think each one of us has to decide what is green or red for himself and how willing to take a risk one is.

According to the new laws, unmarried couple can stay in hotel / apartment, even getting pregnant (out of wedlock) is not punished by law.

You can probably say this 1,000 times and people will still be asking which hotel is green and red. That concept is now gone. These days if a hotel tries to limit your unregistered guests its probably because they want to run a family friendly property, that's all.
