Great stay and amazing hospitality. More reports on nearby spa and pick ups to follow.

Yes, yes. Place was special. I recall the rooms with different level floors, step down into bedroom type.

Not impossible but unlikely. You can't blame the hotel for spreading STDs, right. When visiting the hotel I noticed plenty of other reasons / excuses for LE to close it down. Fire hazards by allowing all kinds of electrical equipment in the rooms, such as grills. I think Ramee just didn't want to pay LE anymore, business was slowing down.

That's a pity. So it will just be normal rent then?

It baffles me too. Why tear down something and then not built anything in its place? It's prime location too as you said. It has been years now. I had great memories of that Ramada as well. Thanks to Wicked Roger.
Ramada brings lot of nostalgia. It was situated in vintage location in the infamous Golden triangle those days. I remember picking up girls from Staying Alive every weekend and walking to Ramada, I brought so many girls from clubs nearby. The girls at reception registered the girls without fuss. Sometimes if families are at her counter she will just nod her head in the direction of lift when she sees girl with me. There were nice restaurants where you can take the girls. Ramada had tallest Stained glass Murals. In 1991 during Gulf war American GI s were staying there for their " R&R" break. We heard fascinating account of real things after 3-4 pints of cold ones in the pub I think it was Old Vic.
One of the other memories was of a stylish Indian girl staying in Ramada for weeks. A friend introduced her to me and I was regular visitor, she was beautiful, hygenic and spoke good English. A rare finding. I have never seen such quality Indian girls travelling again.
When they brought down Ramada many of us felt sad that so much history has gone down in dust.

Yup that is indeed very bad news. It is such a great place for booking a few nights and changing girls, even multiple visitors haha in the room in the day is zero problem. So who has recommendations. Any hotel elsewhere in Dubai offers similar flexibility or are we looking at apartment options now?

Hotel Fantasia would be a better option in my opinion. I have heard they have a special discount going. Plus, in house girls that will come directly to your room. You can also get a discount from them as an ISG member. But up to you.
