Is it the one on SZR OR the one on Bank St. Bur Dubai near York and Regal?
The one in Bur Dubai was green on Dec 2013!

Posts: 19I found the JW Marriott in Deira to be friendly. Stayed there 6 weeks ago and never had an issue and saw many other guests with companions as well. The Marina Marriott however was not. I stayed there 6 months ago. You cannot get to the elevator without walking by the reception.

Posts: 28Booked a room at four points Sheraton, was green during my trip last year.
Upon check in I was told that no "guests" will be allowed!
I called them and doubled checked before making the reservation but still they wouldn't budge.
After a long arguments we came to an agreement that they will hold the check in for me and I can go and bring the girl, they sign her in for the whole stay! Log her ID in.
What a shame, was a great hotel!
Now am heading to get the one who should fit me for the whole stay!
Wish me luck!

Posts: 2To all respected senior members,
Are Holiday Inn Downtown, IBIS Diera and Avenue Hotel green? Which is the better option please?
Appears that most of the earlier green ones are gradually turning red day by day!
Please help!

Posts: 1192thanks for the report, do you mind sharing if it was weekday or weekend? i think most venues change a lot.
we were there on a weekend and the prc / asians were not aggressive at all, they stared at you and showed their interest but kept their distance unless invited. you must certainly be a very handsome man!

apart from cis, i would put it at about 40% prc (not my cuppa, and very aggressive to the point of having to be rude to get them to go away) .30% flips, and the remainder being a rep001tering of russians and assorted others of unknown origin. it does appear that the prcs are taking over at jules, and that is not an encouraging trend.

First I would like to say "Huge Fan" of all the Senior Contributors, I've been reading the post and information that's given in these threads for sometime and it's awesome. I often travel to Dubai or through it, and as a matter of fact will be there this 2nd Feb (my 50th Birthday) , I've searched through most of the information in here, While I don't want to ask any stupid questions (and I'm sure this is one of them). But is the Hyatt Regency a GF friendly hotel and if so, in what direction should I travel to find that GF experience. Again, sorry for the stupid question and I hope in the future to be a contributor to this awesome site.
Thanks for help.

Posts: 1192Pieter the hotels that host the CIS clubs (Regal, Moscow) are unfortunately red. They may be unaware of the fall of comunism.
About Majestic, if you use the search in this thread you will find a few posts (some of them by yours truly) stating that most of the time Majestic is green as foliage, but may give you a hard time if you swapping horses in the middle of the road, so to speak.

And we reply with sarcasm etc we run the threat of moderation or worse. I get so many PMs asking for contacts even though am no longer in the UAE and only pass through at times. Those I tend to ignore or maybe I decide to have some fun.
