Hello every one,
Although this is my first post, I have been checking the forum quite often and I found it very useful.
I was in Dubai last week and I can confirm I enjoyed my stay in Metropolitan Dubai in Sheikh Zaied Road.
I found it GF, the stuff and services are professional.
Hotel Breakfast was nice and I also liked the Indian restaurant.
The hotel has good facilities e.g. Health center + pool + coffee shop + Night Clubs (good hunting place)
Rattlers was mainly for PRC WG's with varieties in class and style.
If I have the time, I will be posting some reports about Bahrain and Dubai.

Posts: 64Both Four Points were GF the last I new, always worth checking however. Both are an easy walk from the Golden Triangle, even in the Summer heat! Downtown is a pretty new hotel so may be the better choice. Traders is the other side of town and a bit on a limb.

I will visit to Dubai in Aug and choose my hotel from 3 hotels - 4 points Bur Dubai, 4 points Down town and Traders.
Please advise these hotels are GF or not.
During my last visit in early 2007, Grand Hyatt, Traders and Sheraton Deira were GF.

Posts: 20Karama is no longer GF
Friends,
I read in one of the reports that karama is no longer GF. It is indeed a shame because the hotel has good clean decent rooms, at reasonable price. Moreover I always stay there and bringing girls was never a problem atleast as far as April 2008. I sincerely would like to confirm that it is no longer GF since I may than have to change the hotel whioch has alwasy been my fav.
Anyone else who has been recently to karama and has had a bad exp?

Posts: 5GF friendly hotels, and some advice
AM in Dubai this week , just for a couple of days. Can do with some advise from the seniors.
1. Is the Savoy Park Hotel Aprtments GF?
2. WHat are the closest mongering places you would recommend? From the various posts , I could gather that the club in York is the most popular. Is it close to Savoy?
Any other advise is welcome.

Err. Did I say GF?
But maybe at the price (3 rooms at AED1100 net each) they should not only be GF but also have a showcase for us to pick and choose from.
Walking in does not even feel like a walk of shame--none of the hotel staff seem to give a damn as to who's hanging on your arms.
The lobby was, however, a bit crowded with lots of families there and we dealt with some of their stares by haughtily staring back at them and, in a few (very few) cases, staring in turn at THEIR women.
The kind of place you'd want to go when someone else is footing the bill.

I was in Dubai last week on business and stayed at London Crowne appartments and I can say the place is still girl friendly, only a passeport copy is required.
To get taxis is a problem in this area of Bur Dubai but main mongering hotels such as Regal plaza, York and a few others are within walking distance.
