Hidden Gem - closing down sale

Regent Beach Resort: A small resort-style place right on the beach at Jumeira 1, next door to Alama/El Paso, Boudoir Club etc (3 minute walk). Only opened 12 months ago. When the duty manager mentioned that the place is being demolished in two weeks to make way for a canal, I managed to negotiate a discount - originally 900 down to 600 including taxes. Bargain, and GF - I arrived with a girl around midnight and breezed through to my room with only a smile from gate security and the half-asleep receptionist. It's a small cozy place - reception is about the size of a small bedroom. The rooms are spacious enough. Pity it's closing down. Great place, great location. If you need a place to play at a good price, book in before it closes May 7.

    No1 Tower Suites

    Hi,

I'm arriving to Dubai on Saturday and my Company has just told me that I'm staying at the No1 Tower Suites on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Has anybody got some info is it girl friendly?

Also is it walking distance to Rattelsnake?

    Kind regards,

    Mark

    Hilton Dubai Creek,

I can confirm is very GF. No passports, no fees, no questions. Has convenient back door leading to the elevator. No walk of shame.

Girls at the lobby bar very friendly with hotel staff. It would appear that the hotel may just be picking girls to keep and not to keep. There were few Chinese and russian ladies there. To pick a girl, just agree on price and tell her your room. She will come up in a few minutes.

    Enjoy the shag!

    GF hotels update

    Broadway:

Been there quite a lot since last year. Friendly as ever.

However, room quality is now going rapidly down... especially the bathrooms. On my last two trips I found the water stopper in two rooms broken.

A Great venue for day trips but I found very recently (on both occasions) that they are now charging full day rates for even taking up the room for a couple of hours...so beware.

Till last year end, they were charging 5-20 dhms for the girl coming up to your room. This year during the day, I found no such charge (or the girls didn't ask me for it), but however, the night booty procedure has gone quite tricky. Initially it was that you used to go up to your room and the girl used to take the stairs to the first floor and then take the lift from their and join you directly into the room. Now you have to take her up to the disco on the first floor, Pay a 100 dhms (50 each), go inside, spend 5 minutes and then go up to your room. A guard accompanies you and makes sure you pay the AED 100. Furthermore, the manager warned me not to indulge in the walk/climb of shame after 3 am.

so in summary...night time hunt can cost you an additional 100 AED at Broadway.

Last minute bookings all the time, infact last two were walk in booking...rate was 650 AED.

Report on quality of girls will be posted in the main section.

    SHERATON CREEK

Stayed there first quarter this year. One of the most GF hotels I have been to. Great rooms, great staff and no questions asked. No charges, no passport copies required. The only problem is the long and I do mean very long including an escalator ride walk of shame. But if you do it late at night (I did it at 2 am), the lobby will almost be empty except for the cleaning staff.

Good location if you want to hunt at Kubu as it is a mere 5 minute walk away.

Was booked in by someone else so I do not know the rate

    RAMADA BUR (two weeks ago)

My favorite...it is GF but requires an id copy (driver license or passport) from the girl...but the rooms are marvelous. Big and built on split level, the room adds to the Shag experience by multifold.

Ideally located in the golden triangle, great for hunting at Rockafellas and conveniently located next to a spinneys.

Walk in booking costed me much higher then what I was getting on the internet. I got the room for 1100 AED, whereas the net was giving me the room for the same night in $200 (around 700 AED).

    Keep travelling!
    Doc!

    Ritz Carlton DXB

I can confirm that the Ritz is GF. Not that I remember much about it since, regrettably, I got too pissed. It was a case of the Dead Kennedys "Too Drunk to F**K". I really should get it into my thick skull that when I'm too drunk, I can't perform properly. She was satisfied, 'finished two times', but I didn't. Still, no problems with the hotel. A long walk to my room though, and a long walk back with the lass when she went home. I escorted her to the lifts.

There does not seem to be any action at all in the hotel. The bar is not particularly good, and since the hotel is far away from the 'scene', no passing trade. I picked the WG from the Rattler. The Ritz is a long taxi to and from anywhere. Nice if you can find a good one and want to pamper her, on the company's expense . . .

    Cheers,

    Expatcat

    Metropolitan Deira

    Unimpressed in a word.

I visited Dubai to see a particular WG I am very fond of. I decided just to book her into the hotel room with me since I was not going mongering.

Well the (Indian) receptionist gave me a hard time, asking if she was my wife. Originally I said yes but later admitted she wasn't (she is Ethiopian and I look like I am Irish). So got some frosty looks and was asked continually if I would be taking anyone else into the room. I said no. I was asked if I wanted two beds rather than a king (stupid question). But eventually they let me check her in.

I bought some Heineken from the airport. I put a few in the mini-bar and drank two of theirs. Apparently they put stickers on theirs and charged me for it, even though I replaced 2 with about 6. So I pulled the stickers off the ones in the bin and stuck them on two I replaced. Had a big argument with the reception staff since as far as I was concerned there was no difference. But since they insisted on charging me 54 DH I told them I would refuse to use any of their facilities: Internet, bars, restaurants, minibar or laundry. So their stupid policy lost them money just on my visit - let alone all the negative feedback I am sticking on internet sites. I also removed all the beer I was going to leave there I had bought for the weekend and dumped it rather than let those scabs have it.

On the first night (before the Heineken saga) I went into their Irish bar. Seemed OK, fairly quite but was a bit surprised it had a fair share of WGs who wanted to come up to my room (my GF was away for a few hours). So all this crap reception gave me to belittle me was all hypocrisy since the bar is part of the hotel.

So the moral of this story is:

    - I'd look elsewhere rather than Metropolitan Deira but it does seem to be green/yellow but watch out for the snooty Indian staff.

    - check bottles in any minibar for hidden labels if you plan on drinking and replacing them (probably good idea for any hotel).

My only other experience in Dubai hotels is Hilton Creek which was wonderful in every respect but they do charge twice as much. Next time I might stay a bit closer to the action in Bur Dubai.

Room service is also very good, they sent a guy out to the shops at 3am to buy condoms for me as well.

    Can't fault them on service.
Thanks, good to know as I will stay 3 months in Rihab Rotana as from May 4.

If you still there lets meet.

    Ramada Bur Dubai

Just returned a few days ago from Dubai, staying at the g.f. Ramada. But have to report that facade upgrading is in progress (the rear of the hotel for the time being) and during the day these works can be quite noisy in the rooms further down the right and left. I think these works will continue until late summer.

    Hotel Update

The Intercontinental (Intercon) at Dubai Festival city is girl friendly and entirely green. As mentioned in a previous post by expatcat, there is an entrance to the right of the main which takes you straight to the lift lobby, however during my stay that was never necessary and nobody will bat an eye if you just walk straight past reception with your girl at any time.

I have to caveat that; the girl that I had with me was dressed 'normally' and not in a way that would attract attention, although there were many there that I saw who were lets say at the 'tarty' end of the dress scale. Again, never once saw any of them being stopped.
