Posts: 409Al Bustan Airport still green?
Hi Guys,
as i found out in previous reports and by my own, the Al Bustan Rotana Airport Hotel was green. During my last visit there (more than 1,5 years ago) they didn't even ask for a passport copy.
Good advise to take the list directly to the right of the entrance - avoids the walk of shame in front of the reception.
As i will be there most probably in three weeks, i would be interested, if anyone here can give me an update, if it is still this GF?
Thanks a lot and cheers
Jimmyk

Posts: 252Gf Hotels Al Baraha Area
I know I should spend hours trawling the reports but frankly don't have the time as my missus is sat watching TV downstairs and could be up any minute. Does anyone know of cheapish GF hotels in the al baraha area. If any do an afternoon rate even better. I have seen the san marco in the area but can find no reports. The hilton is nearby but too pricey. This is now an emergency as my Ethiopian regular from last summer has given up the trade and needs a good seeing to. Trouble is she shares with 4 others who sleep all bloody day.
I know I will be told to RTFF but needs must and time is short!

I just passed through on an overnighter, and can report that the Arabian Courtyard in Bur Dubai is definitely GF. However, the desk staff did want a copy of her passport and charged me a 100 dhm fee for the privilege.
Despite being an older building, it's quite a nice hotel - no complaints. Cost was about US$195 for the night which I thought not too bad for the time of year. On my last trip I got into Sheraton Creek for US$154 per night, but this time they wanted US$396! Sheesh, peak season huh?
Oh and the Arabian Courtyard is very close to the Golden Triangle!

Posts: 3Capitol HOTEL - Al Mina Road
Hi Guys,
I will be in Dubai next week for a couple of days and will be staying in Captol Hotel near Al Dhiyafa road. Any one knows if this hotel is still GF? I know they have many good night clubs, but I would rather do my shopping elsewhere if you know what I mean!
Appreciate any advice.

Hi Folks, doing a couple of quick stopovers in DXB next month, arrive late at night. Want to visit old haunts inc Seaview.
I normally stay at (SuperGreen) Ramada BD, but they are asking $350 for the one night!!!
In order to save time I fancy staying at Seaview as I will see the band probably have a (previously known) WG from there.
Question: How GF is it and has anyone ever tried to use the service elevator in the walkway from Reception to Back Entrance and Marines Club??
Also I am friendly with Bar Management and have used the side door by the bar that leads to first floor of hotel on one occasion before. They used it when they were renovating the mens Bog a while back, anyone ever tried this route too??
I have RTFF, didnt find a mention esp about elevator etc.
Cheers, FF
