The problem from my perspective is that many / most Chinese women have the ass of a 12 year old boy

My girlfriend has been wearing red underwear as described. She said it's a cultural thing.

The best explanation of the tradition that I could find is given below and is relevant for 2014. Interesting that the red string should be worn every 6 years! Some Chinese apparently only wear the red item, during chunjie (the 15 day Chinese New Year period). However, it is also apparent that many Chinese like to wear red all the time! Online ads show red waist strings being sold all year!

"For many Chinese, it's necessary to wear red underwear, a red string around the waist or wrist, or a gold necklace throughout the entire ben ming nian, the zodiac year in which they were born.

"For example, those born in the year of horse, namely the years of 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990 and 2002, are entering their ben ming nian this year.

"Ben ming nian (destiny year) is supposed to be a year of extremely bad luck and many difficulties.

"Many people don't realize, however, that cautions also apply to those separated in birth by six years.

"This is because those born in the destiny year — and those six years away — are said to offend the god Tai Sui, the ancient Chinese name for Saturn. This year "it's horses and rats, on opposite sides of the 12-animal zodiac.

"It's said that the god that protects horse people departs for heaven that year, leaving the person unprotected and vulnerable to all kinds of dangers.

"Red is considered an auspicious and lucky color that can counter bad luck, while gold is said to have enough spiritual power to conquer evil spirits. Thus, the red clothing, strings and gold jewelry — they are supposed to be kept close to the body at all times.

"Some people buy Tai Sui amulets in a small red paper pouch and carry it with them throughout the year, burning it before the next new year arrives.

"Horses and rats are advised not to go to funerals since they are more vulnerable to yin (cold) energy and evil spirits this year."

Thanks for your input. Everything makes sense. I have delved back into the forum archive here, and googled (English only) for information. My current gf just says she doesn't believe in all this superstition, so she isn't much help.

But I am a pedantic, detailed driven bastard (because of my profession) , and I strongly believe that we do not fully understand the tradition.

For example, I have seen many, many girls of all different ages wearing pendants / charms on red string around their necks or wrists. I have always thought that the girls could not afford a necklace / bracelet and so use lucky red string. I have seen stall holders selling jewellery automatically offer red string to buyers of all ages.

I have specific knowledge of 2 acquaintances (one 22, and the other 28) , where they bought and wore jewellery on red string around their neck. On the other hand, I remember maybe 10 years ago, I bought some charm (I can't remember if it was jade or gold etc) , that supposedly had special significance for my gf's mother as a birthday present. My gf was adamant that the charm had to be worn on red string! The mother could have been turning 48, but I am uncertain.

Maybe it is only the red string around the waist that is of special significance during the year of a person's zodiac animal sign?

Do some girls keep wearing waist red string after the end of the year?

What is the significance of red string, versus other red articles of clothing, which of course are removed daily?

Does the red string ideally have to be bought by someone else?

I find this an interesting discussion, although not strictly relevant to the objectives of this forum except that:

O at this point of time, I have drawn the tentative conclusion that one cannot reliably calculate a girl's age if she wears red string.

O better understanding this tradition, may assist win the hearts and affection of our SYTs.

    Cheers.

    P. S. Of course I realise that the tradition applies to both males and females, but I haven't seen many naked males!

I know that some Chinese people wear red to help keep them safe as it scares off a specific dragon (can't remember its name) that causes disaster. But this is probably not related to the wearing of red during one's zodiac animal year, as they do this every year?

I do understand that the year of their zodiac animal is regarded as an auspicious year for the person, but why wear red only during this particular year? Why scare off a dragon only during their zodiac animal year?

And I think someone once told me that the red clothing worn to ward off the 'disaster' dragon had to be bought or made by someone else.

Maybe the complete answer to the tradition is more complex!

I have heard that only Rat girls wear it. Also, I think I remember reading on this forum that only girls who are 12, 24 or 36 years of age wear it.

I know rodeo cowboys hang on to a rope that is around their mount! Could it be something similar?

Do you think that I could get a research grant to investigate further and do statistical analyses of selected sample groups?

    Privatizing girls

Any thoughts on this? Asking any seniors from south China area any experience on this. This is my second time doing this coming tomorrow. Another cute 18yo white tiger. My first experience wasn't a match made in heaven but was close to a stunner in my book. This time I hope to just have as much fun as possible before she disappears on me.

Chinese girls tend to wait for marriage to have babies and when they get divorced, most of them have some means to support themselves and their children. The fathers take more responsibility in this regard. Thus, they don't need to go on the game to support the kids.

Filipinas just seem to get knocked up and dumped without recourse by deadbeat fathers and end up on the game to support their children. Thailand is similar.

Generally agree. One further difference is that Chinese girls will have abortions, whereas Pinays tend to want to keep the baby. Filipino families also tend to accept and support the babies. Some Pinay girls even seem to want to have babies, especially if a light-skinned westerner is involved. Status? Potential support?

One of my Filipina ex's has a cousin (urban middle class family) who knocked up his girlfriend when they both were high school classmates. They got married and subsequently produced 5 daughters. Four of the girls all had babies before they turned 17. The whole family of course supported them. Only the youngest could manage to keep her panties above her knees, and my ex-wife and I supported her through her nursing degree. Now she supports the rest of the family! And of course they are no longer a middle class family like the parents, but perennially teetering on the edge of poverty.

They also know much less about birth control thanks to the ridiculous teachings or lack thereof by the church. They might have a moments guilt about the church nonsense but I've had many many ladies I chatted with, then met for first time in a mall, and had them in bed within the hour.
I think that Chinese are equally ignorant regarding birth control. Maybe Pinays just love sex more. Filipinos seem to be more open about sexual matters, have less hang-ups, and this enables them to enjoy sex more? Maybe they are also more fertile (?). I wonder if pollution in China is a factor!

My experience is that Chinese girls have very little underarm hair compared to Pinay.

I have never encountered a Pinay white tiger, but I have met several Chinese white tiger (actually I just counted 6, although 2 of them actually had a tiny bit of fluff above the object of our desire). Natural white tigers in China versus artificial (ie shaved) white tigers in PI. I know which I prefer!

OT, but did you know Filipinos regard a girl with hairy arms as quite sexy? WTF!

    Cheers
