I have an emergency trip (business) to Nansha, leaving this weekend for 4 days. Does anyone know the best way to get from HK airport to Nansha, is there a ferry? And, of course a hotel with KTV and some play? Mrclen

You better double check the schedule. The ferries only run on certain days and only once per day. I used to take this route all the time but they cancelled many sailings due to lack of business. One time, there were only 2 of us on the boat.

The KTV at the Nansha Grand Hotel used to be the playing grounds for all the bigwigs from Guangzhou but I am not sure what the current situation is with this crackdown.

Most of the Guangzhou area is still under crackdown. Some places are open but it is very difficult to get any service unless they know you well and are certain there is no risk.

I think CP is too Infamous for its own good back in the US I have over heard at a Chinese restaurant guy are talking about crack down in CP and Guangzhou a few time, even inside my company coworker know about the crack down ask me where to go for fun now in Huizhou and Dongguan, I just tell them go to China take care of business and go to Thailand for the Monkey business China is no longer a fun country.

Sorry for delay with this report but I have some urgent trip to Belarus so can't write earlier.

But anyway this is my raport:

We arrive to CP 22 of March, total number of guys 17 + 2 ladies.

Half of our crew has been in CP few times more other half was newbies.

As ussually for transportation, hotels and other things was responsible BSD.

As we like more have fun at clubs the most important for us was that 18 club was opened. So for us this was quite good time but I'm not first time there so I can say honestly its disaster – CP was like ghost town, ok we have fun but we have also bad memories because some guys try to find out some girls for rest guys in hotel and first time it was ok girls came stay few hours do what they supose to do &9786; and get fee (ST 800 RMB) , but second or third night when the girls come 5 minut after them came undercover cop and after that police came and they arrested all girl (only one slip over because was taken by one guy upstairs to the room earlier ).

Thanks to BSD we found some masseuss (400 RMB body massage + 200RMB for Happy Ending)

Summarize it was not such bad trip but only thanks to BSD and that we seeking some hunting in club and we found some (at the end it was possible to get one WG for 1000 RMB for overnight stay – she start from 2500 RMB ). But if you compare what was last year in the same time its disaster.

I hope things will go better and next year when we come at least sauna will be opened.

Since I don't have much more to report on the "action side" may as well post this reminder / advise that if any of you are going to take the Sky Pier / Cross boundary ferry services directly to Hong Kong Airport to board your onward flight. From Dongguan Humen, Guangzhou Nansha, Macao (Maritime Ferry Terminal and Taipa) , Shenzhen Fuyong and Shekou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai Jiuzhou. Please know that you are NOT going to be allowed to exit the airport and will be required to board your plane directly.

If for any reason you need to go outside of the airport transit lounge, you must use other means to go to the airport for your flight.

Also, if you use this service, you are entitled to a refund of your HK$120 Air Passenger Departure tax which is already pre-charged to the cost of your ticket. Please make sure that you receive a refund coupon from the check in counter at the cross boundary Ferry Pier where you board and then collect your cash at the Refund Counter at the Hong Kong airport Sky Pier Refund counter.

I've had friends who got into a pickle using the Sky Pier facility and thought this reminder may be of benefit to some here.

We've come to a partial conclusion up to this phase so far.

The fact is Dongguan government officials and authorities do not want to lose their fragile posts.

CONCLUSION: DONGGUAN WILL BE A POLICE STATE FROM 2014!
