Just some musings whilst I lament the probable lost of our favorite play playground. I hope I'm wrong and I certainly hope so.

This strike had been very meticulously orchestrated by the central government and surgically carried out to do maximum harm to both the supply and demand equation. If you notice, there had actually been very minimal actual arrests, but quite prominent and strategic ones designed to signal the authorities' stern resolve and which IMHO is only a first warning flare. Those who continue to not pay heed and think it's just like previous ineffectual yandas are, I think, in for a rude awakening.

Action at the Crown Prince is significant in that the owner, being a national CCCP member with close ties to the PLA, had been immune in the past. The removal of senior government officials also signaled that nobody is sacrosanct.

Previous weekend when I was there, ChangPing was still very much alive and the air of anticipation for when the girls will come back and business can resume was palpable. It is now like a ghost town as the timing of the start of the yanda. When the girls hadn't come back yet. Was IMHO perfectly timed to tell all the players to not come back; stay in your home province to do your part to build the inner areas up (as has been the stated intentions of central government) or else be prepared to work at those factories etc that are nowadays facing structural labor shortages in Dongguan. All very strategic. Even that supposed CCTV expose. Nothing of the sort, it was all directed by central government. Nothing gets aired on CCTV without such orders!

I've postulated in the past that the leaders are likely to take Singapore's cue and compartmentalize all Sex activities to ChangPing a'la Geylang. All this may yet come to bear. Stop all this revenue loss to the gangsters and corrupt officials and instead reform the whole industry to enable them to tax it all properly whilst upgrading the industry. No, of course not officially but something has to be done to stop this total loss of face to the world when China's best young maidens are being sold wholesale to any and all comers. Not official. But well understood and to be rigidly adhered to like how it is in Geylang. With transgressors having to face the full consequences.

Heck, if it is impossible to actually wipe out prostitution, it's only appropriate for China to have it conducted with class and a modicum of integrity. And that of course means we're probably going to have to shell out more of our hard earned money if we are to partake. Ouch!

I really think this may still be what's in store for ChangPing. And that it has been in the making for a few years. Note the cleanup of zhuhai, Shenzhen etc and the out-in-the-open relocations of all services to ChangPing past few years. That plus the go ahead to build all these big hotels, arcades, apartments etc. And isn't it amazing that up to date, ChangPing has not really even been mentioned in the mainstream media?

By the way. I just heard that someone is organizing a protest on Sunday 2 March. Ominous. Whoever it is who is behind this, I'm quite sure must have more than his fair share of vested interest! And is going to take full advantage of the general feeling of desperation, hopelessness and anger amongst many. Lemmings being driven to the cliff not by anybody leading them from ahead, but just by stoking their anger. Discontent and desperation. Sacrificial lambs!

And even those who are blindly participating in spreading this call to arms by re-posting such on their own QQ / WeChat accounts are going to be in danger as there are already in place actual laws against this. Poor naive pawns.

As I said, just some of my own musings and POV.

Met and forgot and met again

Met this girl at the now closed dance bar in houjie, I thought to myself she was strangely too friendly towards me for such a cute girl. She would grab me to dance with her and play that dice game all night. At the end of the night I was hammered. She got me inside a taxi and went home with me. That night, I slept like a baby. Two days later she was riding me like I was a buckn bronco. It was the second time when I met her again at the bar did I remember a long time ago, I selected her at some sauna and had a great time. She remembered me, but I totally forgot about her. A week later I took her out for valentine's dinner and gave her some cash since I knew she no longer had a job. (this was the primary reason for her to spending alot of time at the disco, rather than working haha). She asked me if I could support her, I gave her some excuse that I couldn't. So if any of you houjie horndogs want to be a sugardaddy, PM me. Her asking price was 10K / month. For me she was way too skinny for me. 23yo, skinny figure, B cups, cute face, light tan skin.

I was in Humen two days ago and stayed at the 5 star Lung Chuen International Hotel. This hotel is owned by someone with great influence and connections to the police. When there was a crackdown sometime around 2005 when all hotels in that area were raided, the police only when to the lobby of Lung Chuen and then left. All the other hotels had their rooms checked. However this time is definitely more serious. The night club on third floor of this hotel is closed. Nearby across the road, a foot massage place is also closed and I had been told by my driver that most KTV, sauna and foot massage places would be closed for the next few weeks to be safe. Even if they are open, no customer would dare to patronize such places now. The New World Hotel has been shutdown by the police and the owner arrested. This hotel is only about three years old and had been in trouble with the authorities before. Probably did not have the connections needed to run such business.

Meanwhile in the outer provinces of Hunan, Chongqing, Hubei, Henan, Jiangxi, etc, many ladies have been trying to cancel their trip back to Dongguan due to the crackdown. They are in a desperate situation because after having spent most of their money during the Chinese New Year celebration, they are now jobless and close to penniless.

Crackdown was more publicized and was specifically TARGETED Dongguan by Beijing.

Those old timers that remember how it was before should know. There were many places in Southern China that are now gone or a shadow of itself.

Those that remember how Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Houjie, Qingyuan, and Zhuhai were before each crackdown should know. After each crackdown, less places and more expensive. My favorite place in Shazui Village in Shenzhen, is only about 20% what it was before after 2008.

This crackdown has be more publicized and it's News world wide. It is a little different than other big ones. The few big ones that I recall were in 2008 for the Olympic, President Obama visit 2009, The Asian Games 2010, The Japanese Orgy in 2003, and Macau being handed back to China. This one specifically TARGETED Dongguan by Beijing.

I think the same will happen with Dongguan. Mongering will be around but a lot, lot less available and more expensive. The longer it last, the harder for each place to stay in business. Sorry to say. Maybe if a new regime or election takes place, the mongering industry will come back in Dongguan. I recall hearing many hotels were about 25 to 30% full for last week.

    IMHO Wee

    DG Crackdown

So many people are being affected from the crackdown. Including the triad, high ranking officials, the entire industry. Even the legit businesses are being affected. Baozulin is closed as per my friends that just got back from CP. Are any one actually looking for these few undercover reporters that started all these. I was just in HK and Macau last week. The traffic for mongers had increased 10 folds. The Saunas in Macau (tho expensive compared to DG) are packed. HK, Apartments P4Ps are stormed with people.

Xiamen, Fuzhou, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou the storm from last year 2013 is over. Everything is back to normal.

    Enjoy!

Seems to be the banks will be in trouble if they are funding all the hotels.

HK will definitely see increase in this activity. I crossed the border last night into HK and spotted at least 10 who look like working girls crossing.

But the economy will recover. There is a looming labor shortage in China anyway.

    Crackdown and Total shutdown?

Just sit it out guys, as OAH said, the waves will blow over. It will come back someday. Or maybe somewhere nearby.

For once I agree with SEAJoe, take the crackdown seriously. They want to show to the citizens that they are doing their work.

The Guangdong and Dongguan police chief had been fired already. So the central government is 'doing' their job.

But: If they shut it down completely. Ask these questions:

    1) Where will all these billions of RMB hotel, railway, subway investment go?

    2) Where will all these million of labor go?

    3) Which direction will the DG economy go?

You think the government will let them go down the drain? You think the investors will let them go to waste?

    Enjoy!

    You are right!

It is unfortunate that drugs and gang intertwined with this wholesome mating ritual between multiple consenting adults.

I remember a year ago 1 of the k girls told me that she couldn't do lt because she needed to meet his client for after party at peninsula (?) , she said k party started after midnight usually involved drug use; (

I was heartbroken. She had a young and innocent facade.

Damn I hope the crackdown blow over pretty soon, really miss the model at wong Kwok.

    OAH
OAH thank for your 2 fen's.

Guangzhou is our alternative only because we coming to China in bussiness and pleasure, and part of our bussiness trip is visiting Interzoom Fairs in Guangzhou and that is reason why we put our alternative location in Guangzhou. But to be honest I don't want to do this. I'm in touch with BSD with hot info from CP and for this moment it seams to be quite calm there. Is this calm before storm I don't know but from my point of view if this police raids was serious they should be more arrested people. In one working KTV you can find more. So I hope I have right about that and this was only shownoff. Because in whole this police operation they don't touch CP and we know that city is heart of DG in meaning of sex industrie.

The manufacturing sector cannot accommodate this entire labor force, nor do they want to do that work.

It always comes back albeit it never seems to recover to its previous glory and keeps getting more and more expensive.

IMHO, the timing of these recent crackdowns is very strategic. Most of the girls are in their hometowns and will not return until the coast is clear.

It will come back again. It is just a question of how long the crackdown lasts this time. That said, it will never be what it used to be in the day.

    Just my POV.
