As far as food goes. There are always new places popping up and places for all sorts of budgets. Good and cheap to more particular and obviously expensive.

The best thing is to let us know what you're looking for and we'll steer you in the right direction. And if you guys find new cool places. Do share. Always looking for something new to do in CP.

For those that haven't tried, the Go-Karting in CP is great. Lots of fun. But only kills a few hours. Not exactly cheap, but not expensive by US standards. And it's not ghetto at all, so you'll have a good time.

We get to have more fun bumping and pushing people into walls, but it's all in good fun.

Be there in about a week. Looking forward to it.

I have a question. People say you get a 50rmb discount when you book for example, a sauna room at hui mei. Could someone explain what this entail? Is a sauna room the same as a hotel room? Lets say a sauna room cost 198 rmb. Could I use the sauna room just like my hotel room all night and boink as many girls as I want? If I choose another girl at the sauna, will I get charged another 198 rmb or do I just pay for the girl? Those two are a must for me each time I'm there. Good Sichuan restaurant above pozolim. My favorite cha ting is located next to the miraton hotel across from pozolim. I'm sure Jettsetter will chime in with other places.

There are many many places which are good to eat in CP. Just walk around and look for restaurants that are full of overseas chinese and you wld be sure the food is good and prices reasonable. as for how to judge if they are overseas chinese, you wld get it after a while. their dressing and hair stle are different fr locals.

i really thought it would be a lot longer before i felt the withdrawal of a cp visit - i guess it was just that good and has me planning a shift away from annual visits and trying to figure it all out - including perhaps life changes, as my mandarin progresses - contemplating my next 15 years so to speak - ack - what a trip to cp can do to your psyche !!

some highlights and lowlights if for no other reason (perhaps they amuse or benuse others) than to document ....

in no particular order....

highlights:

hui hua hotel - non smoking for ease on allergies, kick ass breakfast that filled me until night time and location that was close to bbs as well as starbucks, mickey d's , dvd shops and such.... i did find myself taxiing to clipper area a bit for more action, but the hotel location suited my needs to walk about quite well. *i curiously did not use the pool, and that was one of main reasons for choosing hotel (though it did cool down a bit)....

fu hao - holy crap what a party.... great vibe when you get jettsetter working tunes and girls stripping. *too much fun and almost a trip back in time to college parties. *awesome.
