Posts: 215Mayflower - Wan Yi KTV - Night 2
Back to Mayflower - Wan Yi KTV for Night 2.
There were at least 200 plus more WGs tonight than opening night and in addition to the quantity, the quality has greatly improved as well, perhaps, it was because I got there at 6:30pm instead of 7:00 pm the previous night.
From now to mid-July, there are some perks for the grand-opening period (prices in RMB):
1) Liquor - Buy 2 get 2 free - 780 each.
2) Red Wine - Buy 2 get 2 free - 298 each.
3) Beer - Buy 1 dozen get 2 dozen free - 43/45/48 each
4) Rice Wine - Buy 2 get 2 free - 400 each
Only can choose one of the above per visit (i.e. once you buy the first dozen beers and have gotten two dozen free, you can't buy another dozen and get two dozen free, but you will still get one dozen for free).
Met a caucasian non-Putonghua speaking friend at HuiHua lobby today and brought him along and went through the 700 plus girls asking each mommie if they have girls that can speak English and found only 3 passable candidates and since this new friend was there for the last night after a 3 week trip, he took all three to sit with him. I have the contact information for these ladies if anyone needs it.
Back for Day 3 tomorrow and will report if I find anything new.

I tried take out without the sitting in the KTV at Jia Yi. Friends told me it can be done. Just go in, ask to see the parade, pick the girl, negotiate with mommy and girl and take her out. Pay for ST if that's it, or LT if longer.
So being alone one Saturday night, I went to Jia Yi and tried this. No go. The hostess led me to the bar, but I asked for the Parade. She said no parade without sitting at the bar. I told her I don't get it, didn't they used to do this? and she said it was a new policy, just started at the beginning of May or something. Ah well. Asked her any other way, she said no. I guess it was a Saturday (and at prime time 6 pm) so I guess they want to have all the girls working the parade for guys to run up alcohol tabs.

Long time since I have been in China, but will be in town (Shenzhen and CP; yet to decided exactly where and when) between 7-12 July.
I have been to a KTV once before in China (not so far from CP, see my report from a couple of years back!) had a great time so would like to go again.
Any members around for those dates who would like to hang out, KTV, Sauna or try find some gems at BBS send me a message.
I speak next to no Mandarin or Cantonese, so not much use on that front, but can get on pretty much with anyone and am not too obnoxious.
Cheers,
BJK

At some of the hotels they charge a one time fee, I recall something like 5-8 RMB. It’s a little coupon the hotels use. It is charged only once when you check in and not on a daily basis. They told me it was for insurance. I asked a few receptionists at a few hotels and each time they didn’t know exactly or I didn’t understand them. Does anyone know what’s the insurance for? What does it cover ?

Posts: 215Mayflower - Wan Yi KTV Grand Opening
The much anticipated opening of the Mayflower/Wan Yi KTV finally opened it's doors today with much fanfare.
The flower street room is one and a half times the length of the Ja Yi KTV with girls shoulder to shoulder standing next to the walls of the room with guys in the inside circle looking for their companion (s) for the evening.
The management did a fabulous job lining up the hostesses (a few stunners, better looking girls than the KTV WGs) to welcome guests when they arrive at the KTV. Next the DJs (didn’t see too many cute ones here.) sounds out their robotic "welcome" as each group of guests walk through the hallways leading to the flower street room.
I arrive around 7pm with Jaimito_Catero in toll, it was touted to have over 1, 000 WGs but I estimate no more than 500 for tonight. I talked to a few of the mommies and they said that more than a few hundred girls have not been processed thus not allowed to work until all the paperwork has been completed (a. K. A. Fees not yet paid to the establishment, no money, no workie.). It is recommended that you arrive no later than 6:30pm for the stunners on Friday and Saturday evenings and 7pm on any other nights.
Personally, I didn’t see many stunners, just a handful of 9’s but lots of 5 and under. The mommies are all desperate and grabbing you to introduce their "great service"/"fresh to the industry" WGs. Heard the same sales pitch before.
The hardware is brand new and working flawlessly. All of the latest Putonghua and Cantonese songs as wells as English, Japanese and Korean songs are available.
Charges in RMB:
Small room 688 (3-5 guys plus ladies and DJ); 988/1088 – medium (6-8 guys plus ladies and DJ); and large – 1288 (9 – 12 guys plus ladies and DJ).
WGs are 2 – 5 – 8; 200 to sit, 500 for ST, and 800 for LT.
10% service charge added to the subtotal.
12% discount on food and drinks.
WGs do not have duty to order food or drinks (I. E. JY or Lion KTVs).
A great side note is that no extra fee to take girls out of the KTV without playing at the Mayflower/Wan Yi KTV room or lounge unlike JY which requires a 160 fee (I. E. Bar fine for early exit before 8:30pm) which means you can go there pick girls to take them to another KTV or just outside for other entertainments without any extra fees (Lion also don’t charge the extra fee either).
I have the contact name and phone number to make reservation if you need it, just PM me and I will forwarded to you. HAVE FUN!

Hi All,
Google has just been blocked in China. If you have friends (or girlfriends) with Gmail, don't expect to hear from them soon.
To get around this from within China, use a VPN (virtual private network). I use Witopia (dot net).
Good Luck

It was a great time at Xing ze Xing KTV in Chang An last night.
We had 7 guys in all. I had a real sweet Hunan girl who spent most of the night in my lap, with no underwear on. It was in a plastic bag with her bra.
We all played Blind Man's Tit's. Each guy is blindfolded in turn, feels each
girl's boobs and try's to guess which ones were his girl's.....4 guys
decided to take a girl up to a private room, 100 for the room for 2
hours. Plus the girls fee (2-5-8). Each girl also gave a topless lap dance to her guy. Lot's of fun

My friend just got back from DG. He told us that besides our regular KTVs at Hui Hua, Jiayi and Mahathan, he found a KTV at Dalang who has a lot of real stunners, charges is 3-7-10. Unfortunately he couldn't recalled the name of the KTV.

Posts: 2289I had problems finding an ATM that would take my Paypal card. However, when I checked into the Swan Lake Hotel, the China Bank ATM in the lobby worked fine. 2500 rmb withdrawal, no problem.
