West China - Kunming

I will have a 12 hour layover at Kunming later this month. Has it gone dry? Any Massage place with FS. Steetwalker? Anyone have any recent info on Kunming mongering scene?

It would be advised not to plan on a lay-over or stop-over at Baoshan. 95% of the hotels would not accept anyone without a Chinese ID, therefore all your traveling documents of passport, visa, permit, etc. Would not have any values. The only hotels that could accept foreigners would be six-star or perhaps five-star with all the luxury amenities that you may need at €140-€200 per night, comes with Chinese breakfast buffet. . And there is nothing there for us anyway.

Stayed Kunming at Dongchuan District, a sub-urban area. Saw some cards of prostitutes left carelessly on the road. Couldn't be sure about the quality and safety, didn't knock. I also saw a KTV near my hotel.

Thanks for the recommendation. I went here and had an OK experience. It was a bit expensive. Was quoted 600 and she dropped quickly to 500. Still seems quite expensive for what was a little rushed and simple QT with 30 year old girl who was sweet but not particularly hot. I probably wouldn't return, but curious about whether I was overcharged and whether they have a selection of girls. I liked that the place was clean, felt safe and it wasn't in some seedy backroom with dirty sheets.

Glad your experience was overall good. The place is clean and safe and presents the opportunity to take a girl to your hotel if the Madame considers the hotel safe. Regarding the negatives, I do not think the price is extremely high. Five years ago, incall places that offered full service cost about 350 - 400. These places generally were not clean and seedy. Now due to crackdowns, risk is higher and prices have gone up. Regarding it being rushed, they can improve on that and I think they will. From Kunming Train Station, walk north on east (right) side of Beijing Lu three full blocks. Third street is Yong Kang Lu. Turn right. Walk one full block and cross street. Then start looking on left for storefront with grey bricks and glass. That is the place. Go in. On right there is a desk. On left there are a couple of tables. The massage rooms are in the back. You can order tea or coffee from the manager. She speaks a little English. Be discreet. Tell her you want a special body massage from a young girl. Tell her you learned about her place from the internet (shangwang). She will get your meaning and call a nice masseuse for you. You can also ask for massage in your hotel. Tell her which hotel and let her decide if she wishes to send a masseuse to that hotel. They also have a great foot massage here on some days. Wow, it's been a couple of years since the last post on here.

Kunming seems to have gone through a bit of a purge in the past year. It seems the dance halls have all closed since last December. They were having a bit of trouble at the end of last year & some started keeping their lights on, some were closed for a month then reopened, but all of them seem to be closed for good now. I asked some e-bike drivers outside the old dance halls at and. Railway station & they said the only ones left but they were "Bu Hao Wan" - (no fun!) - for old people who actually wanted to dance.

Many saunas seem to have closed.

Anyone have any good news for this city?

Is Kunming completely emptied out? Hard to believe that nothing is going on in a Chinese city.

Right. My impression exactly. But it seems that Kunming has been thoroughly sanitized? Anyone know of anything left? Visited several old haunts, all have become "proper" massage places. How did the government even accomplish this? What happened to the thousands of girls employed? If anyone knows of anything left, or understands how things have become so "clean" so fast. Insights welcome.

I walked all over Yuer road and checked many small alleys, but I couldn't find any brothels. Probably they are all gone.

I went to the sauna at 风33457;38634;26376;22823;37202;24215; (Regent hotel) and asked them about special, but they said no.

I've found a few groups of street girls around the town. I said Hi to a girl at just outside of the south gate. She said "[Non-English text deleted by Admin]" (100 rmb).

I stayed in Lijiang Old Town for a few nights on a package tour. There was nothing to be found in the Old Town, but Bar Street is quite lively and possibly freebies are available there.

One evening my tour had a optional 'Cultural' (AKA Expensive) event. I decided to opt out of this and go for a wander. I left the Old Town by the south west gate and turned right onto Changshui Road then right again into Minzhu road. I saw an unnamed alley on the left, about 200 m from the junction. This led to a network of alleys that connected Changshui Road, Minzhu Road and Jinkai Street. Most were well lit, but some were a bit dark. There were about a dozen girls at various places in these alleys. I found a good looking girl, in her early thirties, who asked for 200 Y for full service. We headed off to her nearby apartment. This was clean, but a bit untidy.

She would not take off her top but said she would for an extra 100 Y. After a bit of good nature haggling, she settled for 250 Y for FS with everything off. We spent quite a long time in foreplay before the main action. After we finished, she was not in any great hurry for me to leave, which is unusual for this type of punt. We spent about 20 minutes chatting and cuddling. It turns out that she been working for a couple of years but had never provided service a foreigner. As we had spent about 45 minutes together, I gave her an extra 50 Y. Unfortunately, I did not get another opportunity to spend time away from my group, but this was a great punt with a lovely girl.

Out**on a midnight ramble in Kunming, I found myself walking west along Renmin Road and crossed over Beijing Road where there is a large Bank of China on the corner. **Only a few doors down I was dazzled by the bright white lights proclaiming "sauna"**(Yes, in characters. Look then up, newbies) and a tell-tale Greco-Roman entryway to the Jiude Palace hotel. **I confirmed with the front desk girls I was indeed looking for a bath, and upon changing my shoes for plastic slippers half the size, I made my merry way up the stairs.

Naturally surprised to see this hulking great waiguoren but still trying to play it cool, the locker boys showed me in and I disrobed, showered and climbed in to the communal pool for a long soak. **As with others there were sub-hotel grade disposable "razors" available with which to chafe one's face and disposable toothbrushes to freshen up. **After my relaxing soak I changed in to the largest pyjamas they had and went upstairs to the common area. **I made my presence known and waited for a man with a walkie talkie to come find me. This being gone midnight most if not all of the**sleeping chairs were taken.

There was a menu of massages all at different prices including spa at 600++ but this is the genuine, flowers and oil option. **There was an unspoken assumption that I was there for FS and the chap was apologetic. He would guide me upstairs but it was late and he had only two girls available, neither good looking. **One was rather fat, he said. **Never one to miss a chance to report, I asked whether this 6 xx massage was only sex, he answered "service",**which seems to include nudity, back rubbing (cat bath?) and intercourse.

I politely declined and stuck to my guns, and. Confirmed I was looking for a massage. **I was shown to a small massage room (3 huge chairs) and brought tea whilst. I waited for a. Lovely young lady in a blue, almost naval uniform**who proceeded to give me a thoroughly pleasant all over massage. **Well, almost all over, but despite everyone else being asleep this was a public room and it didn't feel right to be asking for extras.

I forget how much I paid but I believe the total was around 300. **They were surprised at my departure on the small hours but I had a comfy hotel to get back to. **Didn't experience whether or not food was available.
