Walking down beichen ave near beijing road at 3am I saw a small hotel / spa / massage deal from across the road with a couple phone numbers on a big sign. I believe it was the Horizon hotel I found and went in to following a long walk around the streets of Kunming. An upscale hotel, recessed front door to accommodate a driveway. Inside I took the lift to the relevant floor where a massage parlour adjoined the regular leisure facilities.

A noticeboard at the entrance listed five or six different massages of different countries (Thai, Swedish.). Most were offered at two different lengths, but the French massage was just the one.

I countered by asking what there was, which earned me a scornful mouthful of I-don't-know-what, but I assume ran along the lines of,"quit dicking about, man, and get to the point". I asked for xm fuwu which he appeared to tell me was not available. The amount of hair spray holding up the hair of the two 20-ish girls giggling behind him suggested otherwise, but he wasn't budging and I hadn't a hope of negotiating. But I don't believe for a moment that a HE at least isn't available to anyone capable of asking for it.

I'm an expert monger when it comes to places like guangzhou and hongkong! However, I've never really been to kunming except for connecting flights. I wish to spend some time there this time around.

Are there any pick up clubs like in kunming? Like Kama in Guangzhou. Full of russians, columbians etc?

Hi, I went there today (Xi Yuan Lu South of DanXiaLu) and I looked for stores with the words &25353; &25705; massage. I found two, one on each side of the street. The one on the left side of the street going south they only provide HJ. I tried to insist if they gave something else but nothing, she was sticking with the HJ or regular massage. So I left and went to one on the other side, close to the intersection with DanXiaLu. I went there at 1pm (I guess too early) and there only was a little fat girl. I didn't want to keep looking so I gave it a try. It was awful. Not sexy at all and it looked like no experience. After trying many things she declined because my dick wasn't getting hard. Back in Kunming, China after a more than 2 year absence.

As soon as I could get away, I went around to the BBS in Xi Yuan Lu, near the corner of Danxia Lu, that I had frequented in the past to see if there where any fresh recruits.

I was unpleasantly surprised to find all the BBS gone. The sex aid shop was still there but otherwise it's now all small facial shops, clinics, legitimate massage shops, etc.

The local administration here is marketing Kunming as a wholesome family vacation destination, (Spring City and all that) any visible prostitution is being eliminated.

I'll have a look and see if the train station BBS are also gone, but to be honest I always found them to be a little too grotty, even for my taste and I've never been fussy about amenities.

I had my first trip to Kunming in Autumn 2012 when I was still very new to China. I was, however, aware of what is available in many MP and quite taken aback on arrival at the Kunming Grand Park Hotel to find the Spa right next door to the main entrance and pretty much screaming "GET IT HERE BIG BOY", being named as it is "TOUCH SPA" (yes, all in capitals).

I did want a massage though and went in to find out the prices and closing times (3am IIRC). I was greeted by a masseuse who, perhaps uncharitably, looked to be around 40 and was dressed in a short leather crop top and short leather miniskirt, midriff exposed. Made me feel uncomfortable on several levels and I left, but returned later for the massage. Massage was good, I was entirely clothed (bar socks and shoes!) and the masseuse was normally dressed. The room was dimly lit but clean and had a modern feel to it. There was a shower and deep tub in the room, and two massage tables (not beds). I chatted to the masseuse, who told me she was married, and then surprised me considerably when she asked in English whether I wanted "sex massage". She didn't seem the type and we were both fully dressed. I said no, but morbid curiosity got the better of me and I asked how much. And she left the room, returning with the leather-clad, leather faced lady from earlier.

I nearly laughed out loud when I was quoted RMB 1, 500 for FS and I think 800 for HJ. I wasn't after sex, just curious about price, but even then I knew that wasn't the going rate!
