Yuxi is completely dry. All shops are gone and you have to find it through pimps. Some hotels will allow the laboans to come around and approach you and some won't or wouldn't have any contact on borad. I had a hard time making a reliable connection; it could be hit and miss. I was told three hundred but I did not try.

In Kunming, I was approached by pimps in the evening at the usual corners but still too much crowd around to get into details. Four hunderd but it sounded shaky and probably could have been lowered. I think I had noticed a couple of the girls around those areas from earlier in the afternoon, and they looked doable.

I passed through Dali recently. Yuer Lu seemed completely dead. A few of shops had 'for rent' signs up. Anyone know any more? Maybe I hit a quiet night or there had been a short-lived crackdown?

I'd also like to know if Yuxi is still active. Anyone been there?

I was just back from Dali. Can confirm that that pink salon in the old town is alive and well. They are on Yuer lu to the east of Fuxing lu. There were 3-5 houses on one night and 6-8 houses on another night I was there.

Raid in China is an intermittent exercise. Once it is over, thing would be back to normal.

I had great fun too and found a gem in Dali. Please share the location of the places in Yuxi if you don't mind.

Here is a mud map over the area in Yuxi. However I did read that all the BBS shops are gone now.

There were also some street girls in Dali who did the business in cars, but as I did not have one I did not try. I went to the Karaoke shops outside the gate, but did not have much success there.

Very keen to hear from anyone who have been to Hekou or Yuxi recently.

About 4 years ago I had a trip around Yunnan. I visited Hekou, Kunming, Yuxi, Dali, Lijiang and Lake Lugu Hu.

Hekou was good fun, Kunming frustrating, Dali I had some great fun in the pink shops, Lijiang was SW scam central and the KTV at Lake Lugu Hu was a blast. However best of all was Yuxi. I spend several days there and could not get enough of the place.

I have read that there have been a crack down and all the barber shops are gone, has there been a crack down on the sex scene generally over the last four years?

I am trying to organise a return trip, but as I primarially travel for mongering and secondly for sight seeing I wonder if Yunnan is still worth a visit?

Anyone who have been there recently?

I am pretty new to Kunming after 8 years in Bangkok where things were a lot easier!

Would love to here from anyone who could tell me the best place to get quality girls to take back to my hotel. I am based outside the city but spend 2 nights there every week on business so looking for a hassle free service.

Thanks again to previous posts, I checked this place out. Easy to find. 50 Ke Yi Lu just west of the 2nd Ring Road. 5th floor and when I was taking off shoes, a line up of gals walks through the reception area with smocks on over their mini dresses. Figured out later that there are service rooms on each side. After the locker room, once inside the room, line up of 8 and I picked the most petite and young looking one. She is from Yunnan and gave normal cat bath and BBBJ. Lucky for me to pick a small gal, she was tight. I got to see on her lower back the first tramp stamp in a sauna in China. 450rmb which surprised me because I had read higher on the forum.
