my recent visit to nanning was hamstrung by too much damn work, and in particular the final night, which i had left free and was particularly looking forward to, was obliterated by hastily-arranged evening banquet and early morning meeting. all i managed was a late-night visit to the eastern fable club and two in-house massage girls.

at efc i was not really in the mood for fs, and just went for the y168 'tui you' oil massage. i was hoping more for a good massage than anything. what i got was a poor massage and a reasonable hj from a girl with lovely legs. the place did have some other guys there, but still managed to look deserted. i also felt less positive about the overall experience than on my last visit, the layout and the pain in the arse washroom guys demanding y20 tip for doing their job. i certainly won't go there again for a massage. i would for fs, but not until i've tried other places in town, of which there seem to be a number.

i stayed at the mekong hotel, near the convention centre. i thought there was only in-house massage, as advertised in the room, and so called this. first time i got an 18-yr old, and from her rather undeveloped body i wouldn't disagree with this. her lack of breasts and initiative made it an average experience. the second girl was more lively, but not good in the looks or body stakes. price was same as fs at efc, y368.

on my way to the airport, i noted a sign on the side of the building advertising a sauna and entertainment place. not at all sure where it was though, unless it was in the building behind, which was completely plain. it didn't seem to be indicated in the hotel itself.

nanning as a city is great, though. fairly relaxed, relatively little traffic and wonderful young ladies to look at around town. there appear to be a number of sauna and ktv places rep001tered around, and i should think there are lots of opportunities if one has time here.

Based on the previous report (for which, many thanks), I visited the Eastern Fable Club a couple of times last week. Located in the basement of the building next to the Nanning Hotel, it's easy to find if you get a taxi to the hotel.

During both occasions I was there, I didn't see any other customer. I was told this was because it was the mid Autumn festival holiday week. None of the baths were filled, the sauna was only turned on when I arrived and the massage rooms were all empty. Fortunately, I wasn't interested in any of these. This place does not offer full service up front at the reception, as it seems to be as much, if not more, of a legit massage place as anything else. You need to ask for 'quan tao' or 'teshu fuwu'.

There was only one 'teshu' provider on both occasions I visited, but fortunately she was fairly attractive (a '7'), and provided a good, pretty GFE service. Long bbbj with cold water, 69, dfk and an enjoyable coupling!

The washroom staff are rather a pain, continually asking if you want a scrub or foot massage etc (what can you not understand about 'no thanks'!?). Also pushy with tip requests, though this may have been due to the complete lack of other customers.

The price was very reasonable, I thought. Only Y368 all in. Tip not expected by the girl. As I was leaving the second time, a very cute 'normal' massage girl appeared, and so I think I might go for that on my next visit. May be a possibility of setting up something away from the club.

So, overall a very reasonably-priced place with good service. Obviously not many full service providers though.

Incidentally, I saw a sign for a sauna on the 12th floor of the Nanning Hotel. I will probably try this next visit also.

Well, since no one answered, here is the answer. According to the girl I got for a massage from the hotel, there is no special massage available. She gave a great massage but remained fully clothed the whole time and said no to any extras. Too bad, because she was a really cute one with a nice tight body.

I am making another trip to Nanning soon and will be staying in the Best Western there. Does anyone know if you can get full service from an in room massage there or maybe what you can get at the spa? I stayed in Nanning last month so this is a bit after the fact. Across the road from the railway station is a hotel called the Chaoyang where rooms go for about 88 yuan. They seem to have their own inhouse operation there which is located on the second floor next to small shop which makes it easy to go past and check out the goods. Its kind of setup as a hair dressing place but one which has several hairdressers on duty until the early hours of the morning but only one on during the day. I think the SOP is for them to callup solitary male guests which happened to me but some chinese language skill might be in order or else simply go down and make a selection. There seem to be quite a few itinerent western travellers there as the train from GZ deposits passengers at 4.30 in the morning which makes the hotel an ideal option so they could be use to laowais. I did not partake myself as I couldn't take the stare from the floor staff so no idea of the price but all in all not a bad option as some of them seemed solid 7.5s.

Also spotted some streetwalkers up Chao Yang st around the bridge where the old women sell porn DVD's during the day. i'd be great if somebody could check this out.

Unless you are a real connoisseur, and I don't doubt you are, Vietnamese girls are quite difficult to recognize. They melt very well with the Guangxi girly population. Only the best mandarin speakers are sent that far undercover. They usually would tell you they come from whatever small district of Guangxi, Guangdong or Yunnan, as their accent still may sound a bit different. And you really need to torture them to make them tell the truth. If you can speak a bit of Vietnamese, try to speak to them, somethime they are so shocked you have guessed that they would tell you the truth. But secretly, as most of the time even their boss is not aware of their identity. A definitive sign that she might be a Viet is she is keen for BJ, and very good at it. Also, if her price is relatively cheap although she is very good looking and dressed with taste, there are chances that she is Viet and not Chinese.

Just spent a few days and nights in Nanning and checked out the recently opened (June 2006) 'Eastern Fable Sauna Club' (Dong Fang Yuyan Xiuxian Huisuo). It's right next to the Nanning Hotel in the basement of Parksons. The place is designed in Egyptian style and is clean and well managed. I first went to the sauna and then into the jacuzzi. Bit the great equipment (big swimming pool, sauna, whirlpools) are hardly used by the clients. Most move straight to the upper floor where the girls are. According to the manager there are more than ten of them, but later I was told that some are only giving traditional massage and in fact only five of them do the so-called 'special massage' (teshu anmo) in the VIP rooms. I went for the later and after sending two less atractive girls away, I found a cute 21 year young Han girl from Liuzhou, called Xiao Ao with a nicely tanned body (I don't like the pale northern Chinese girls that much) and the classic Chinese cup B tits. Xiao Ao was wearing a sexy short red skirt when she entered the room. We showered together and had sex for a full hour. She was a newbee and did not deliver the standard menu which is usually offered at places like that in China. Instead, I rather had a plesant GF experience with her, which I quite enjoyed for a change.

The whole experience set me back 388 Yuan, which is the package-deal for one hour of special massage including the entrance fee and using all the sauna facilities.
I can only recommend this Club. No haggering or bargaining, clean, friendly place!
Only remember to bring your own condoms, the ones they use are Chinese size and way too tight for lao wai!

I also had a look at another Sauna on the 5th floor of the Hawai Hotel (Xiaweiyi Dajiudian). There it's only about sex and you proceed straight to the rooms which have little sauna inside.

I had heared that they had Russians working there, but when I asked, the Mama San told they had all 'gone home'. No Vietnamese either. Instead she offered me Koreans (probably poor refugees from the Kim's socialist paradise).

The whole package there was pricy for Nanning standards - almost 700 Yuan all together, so I gave it a miss.

Have fun in this nice city and don't miss the lemon chicken!

Stayed at this hotel recently and decided to try for an in room massage. Didn't really have a clue what was likely to happen. Went down to reception at the Spa/Sauna area and told them I wanted a massage in the room. They quoted 300RMB and said they would send the girl up in half an hour.

Sure enough, there is a knock on the door and standing there is a really nice looking young girl dressed in a simple but nice dress. I let her in and after that it just got crazy. She spoke just a little english, but it was enough. She was 21 and had a really nice little tight body.

Walked around the train station area for about an hour observing the quality of the talent.

Compared to Sha Tsui in Shenzhen, this area is more filthy and the women generally older and not as attractive.

In terms of looks, I would rank the top 20 percentile of the women here to be equivalent to the bottom 20 percentile of the women in Sha Tsui. This being a conservative estimate.

As I wasn't satisfied with the talent, I passed.
