Stayed here a couple days on business. Nice hotel, good location. They're building a subway line next to the hotel so noise and traffic was a problem. Didn't have much time to check out the area and called the in house massage. Asked for the "beautiful girl" massage and for 600 rmb they sent one. First night's one was kind of a dead fish until I got into DATY. But they service you from the beginning with a shower together, nice massage and shower after the deed. Second night the spa asked if I wanted the 1900 rmb special, little too rich for my taste so took another 600 rmb beautiful lady. More lively but not as cute. All in all enjoyed my short stay.

Due Diligence Part 3 or "no dogs, or foreigners"

Went over to the Park Hotel / 168 Motel Area to have a look. I have no photo editing software on this computer so this included map will just give you a general idea.

Advice on how to get there: Take a taxi to the Park Hotel. Walk WEST (heading out from the front of the hotel U-turn left.) When You see the freeway offramps and onramps, stay on the sidewalk and continue walking to the left. The first "street" you get to turn left.

The BBS here do not have the standard "pink lights" however it is very hard to mistake them for regular barbershops (there are both on this street). See a girl or several girls in sexy clothes looking bored? BBS. See lots of cut hair on the floor, don't bother unless you want a haircut.

There are many shops on both sides of the street so if you do not like what you see, keep going.

I visited about 7 of these shops and was given the same price and same answer every time. 30 rmb for half hour massage and handjob. 100 rmb for half hour massage and Russian/tittyfuck/breastpush. I was also told no FS by EVERYONE but overheard locals getting offered for 75rmb. I went so far as to offer 300rmb for FS to several of the WG but still no luck. Foreigners need not apply.

The "rooms" were small and cramped, a twin size "mattress" with enough space to stand next to the bed. But for the cheap thrill I suppose it works. Got a very nice cuddly girl for 30 rmb handjob, lackluster massage but its 30 rmb.

If you are Chinese, give it a shot and see if your luck is any better than mine, if you are a foreigner, aside from soaking up some local culture and a cheap handjob, I would not bother!

Still having the monger itch (no not that type of itch) I went back to the trusty Chengnan DongLu BBS (last one on the street, double glass doors with pink curtains. 150rmb for 40 minutes 1 pop.

I found out why foreigners get turned down alot. After getting into the session and starting to relax a bit I bottomed out in this WG and a shriek of pain like a banshee startled everyone, too deep. The session ended immediately with a now bleeding WG. She was a trooper and still offered to finish off the session, but I am not dealing with WG blood even with a condom, no thanks. The mamasan was quick to offer up another girl to finish up instead (I had frequented this place many a time during my short stay here) but it was time to go home.

As a side note, while walking TO Park Hotel, I did see a couple BBS strewn about on roads, again, no pink light, but WG and sliding glass doors, easy to spot. I think there were 3 on Chixin Road (map included)

This ends my mongering in Changsha for the near future, hopefully these reports help other people find what they are looking for!

Due Diligence part 2 and other random ramblings

I did not get a chance to go to the Park Hotel area, but instead went back to Xiangchun Lu. (photos of the street signs are attached in a previous post) A map with red dots indicating BBS will be included with this post. However, I really feel that even if its your FIRST TIME EVER walking a street anywhere in the world, you will easily be able to locate the BBS on this street.

Again with my complete lack of mandarin skills ANYONE can do what I do or better. I also do not walk anywhere I feel I would be putting myself at risk. So if I can do it, you can do it!

This section of BBS was alot different the Chengnan DongLu. These places all offered the same type of service. 300 RMB for 3 Hours TAKEAWAY. The places were mostly packed with girls, the average BBS containing 7 girls, the most crowded (and most attractive) housed 12. Looks ranged from 5-8. If you dont like what one place has, walk down to the next shop.

I tried to explain that I did not have a hotel or anyplace to take the girls to and THREE of the shops told me that I could have the Mamasan IN the BBS for 340 rmb. I assume they were joking with me, so I told them (from the Words and Phrases thread) that I was a virgin and that she would break me.

My time spent IN the BBS was also amusing, one of the Mamasan actually tried to pimp me out to a guy that came in (or at least thats what I assume she was doing) I kindly told her 1000 for look look (kan kan), 3000 just for touch touch (mo mo). That got a good laugh out of everyone.

As for some other strange experiences on this street... A couple shops did not appear to have a Mamasan. After some broken discussion, more than one store said no make love for american because they are not good at it. I laughed and tried to explain, if the chinese man was good at it, why did he have to pay? However, i could not express the idea in words so I just relegated myself to mentioning it here instead :P

I also had several of the BBS mamasans do a squeeze test on my package before proclaiming "tai da". From what I have sampled in the area, that may just be the case, a gift in america, a slight curse in P4P china...


So after realizing that I was getting nowhere without a car or suitable hotel/apartment, I hopped a taxi back to Chengnan DongLu. Checked the merchandise at the 4 open shops, prices were still the same, 130-200 rmb. Again, no haggle foreigner price.

Weekend and weekday prices are the same.

In case anyone was wondering there appears to be a discrepancy between my "complete lack of mandarin" and the discussions I have with working girls / mamasans.

The RMB amounts are the monthly salaries for each of the job categories (plus "separate bonus is applicable").

Interestingly, no.5 is for jishi, literally "technician", but these days another code word for sex-worker. There is no salary listed, just the words "salary . . " (the end bit is unclear, presumably something like "salary scale available on enquiry"). This makes sense, since the girls are paid by commission only, whereas the other jobs there are presumably on a more regular footing.

The salaries are about average. It's clear that if business is good, a popular girl will take home more, probably a great deal more, than the other staff. An interesting little window into the sauna world.

Walked from Chengnan Zhong Lu to Chengnan Dong Lu and up and down the side streets and end street. I am including a map with the relative locations of the different BBS I saw as well as the prices I was given as a Foreigner without any haggling since my mandarin is pretty much nonexistant.

I was offered prices from 130rmb to 200rmb.

I did not walk down any dark alleys or anything like that, even though Amiling Lu looks sorta dark, its a very well traveled road so nothing to worry about.

Each BBS had 5+ girls, they all had a Mamasan except the one at the end who had a Papasan.

The 130rmb BBS also had the Mamasan available for those of you who are into that.

There is no real reason to start walking anywhere other than the end of the street where Chengnan East Road meets Chezhan South Road.

In case anyone was wondering. Zhong. Middle Dong. East Nan. South Bei. North just so you can understand my google maps and pictures since I can't help but use both terms interchangeably.

Unfortunately for me, I'm not.
The Changsha BBS are somewhat difficult to spot and there are no mommies or recruiters working the block. Routinely there are red lights but the door is usually closed; in the summer the girls may be clustered around the entrance. Walk by two or three times so they know what you are looking for and watch for their smiles.
If you are in doubt, you will be sure when you open the door to see the bored half-dressed gals around the TV.
If on the other hand, some fat shirtless guys are counting money on a table, just smile and say "Wo milu" /wɔ mi lʊ / - "I'm lost". And leave quickly.
I suggest you locate Changnan Dong Lu and go to the far east end. These are the most visible establishments.

Anyway a more specific question. As I don't have monger vision. I went to park city hotel. Turned left on the main road and then south on east 2nd ring road. I assume this is not the correct spot as I saw nothing. I will try heading east out of park city hotel main road although. I am still so confused looking at the map and trying to make sense of the locations mentioned. The hotels I can find easy enough. The bbs areas I cannot.

Anyway. Going to keep at it and if all else fails I'll swallow the extra 200 or so and just head to tian long hotel instead.

Just read a report on CNN asia that someone bombed the tax office in Changsha. Plus someone is blowing up the barbershops. It was probably an angry Chinese taxpayer but blowing up a barbershop, lets hope that it is just a regular barbershop and not one of special ones. It they blew up one of the specialize FS ones, that should be a death penalty offense with no right of appeal.

The tax office one was in the local newspapers page 4 not as big a story as in CNN, must happen all the time. The barber shop was in Jilin probably a gas bottle blew up. Its a long way from Changsha so unlikely to be connected.

A few weeks ago I was in town and Chengnan Lu BBSs on the eastern most end are active, but on the west end of Chengnan Zhong Lu, near Furong Middle Road, I could only find one. It is on the south side, just before the end of the overpass, red lights in a cut-out door.
Tianlong 'sauna' is still in business, and the hotel is convenient for the Chengnan strolls.

Great place, Massage on the I think 5 floor, girl was great, you have to bargain with them some on details. I just told them tai gui le, my defining Chinese phrase, and they lowered the price down to 600 rmb for 90 minutes. They lead you to a room, they only bring in one girl at a time, but the first girl was good for me. They have those bars above the bed, so the girl can get a little creative on you. chengan zhonglu is back in business now. And there is a new complex of bbs on the easternmost stretch, near the chezhonglu to the train station. Prices remain at 200, unless you are a laowai, when they will ask for 300 and often be terrified.

I can recommend the 'tian long' hotel, right off changan. 250 or so for a room. Inhouse 'sauna' on the 17th floor is 500 take out.

Now guys, if anyone wants to follow that trail, its easy once you are at one of those hotels just get out from the main door, turn left, walk approximatley 200 m along a wall on the left and a flyover on the right. And you will come to a road with shops and. Yes barbershops, easily spot on their pink light. Just walk furhter with the elevated main road on your right, there are some 6 or 8 shops. All small with perhaps 3 or 4 girls max. I just walked into one, pointed on a girl in a red dress and no word changed she took me in the back to her room. Cubicle. Just a matress. Christmaslights along the wall. And we had a fabolous 1 hour. But before my pantscame off, she wasasking for the dough. 300. Settled for 250

Part of the fun is finding out for yourself, but knowing is half the battle!
