Just been to the small massage parlor in the Japanese street in SND near ShiShan Lu. Not in business anymore. Facade is the same but the glass doors were replaced with a metal door. It's sad. Suzhou is getting really dry.

I'm starting to be tired of MeiMei and want to start searching for alternatives. As I live in SIP it would be good with something closer to SIP.

Try 888 Ganjiang W Rd, it is right off the LE Qiao metro station and closer than Mei Mei's. It is the closest to SIP unfortunately. It is much bigger than Mei Mei's and has some fun ladies too. I don't know about getting BJs there but you are right that repeating with the same girl on multiple occasions gets you more, and that speaking the language helps a lot.

Another interesting thing is that if you go on the weekend or especially public holidays that these places will not only be packed but that a lot of the girls will just be normal girls that are there for some extra cash for the day. This isn't a regular job, they just pay the fee and go in like everyone else, and then make money for being there. I have met several girls that are going to Suzhou University at the 888 GanJiang West (GuangDaWuTing) location. They are fun to feel up because they are quite shy. You can often spot them because they don't stand up for the slow songs but sit and wait for you to ask them while seated. Often their friends will giggle or look shocked that the foreign guy picked them out. The whole thing is quite crazy.

We are really quite lucky to have so may options, there are a lot of dance halls and that is very rare for China, many cities don't have them at all.

Thought it was my turn to give some feedback on the dance halls. I have only been to MeiMei on Changxu Lu, but I've been there more than 10 times.

I think this is an interesting option to the sex scene around. I normally try to select 1-2 girls and stick with them, returned business gives more opportunities for added fun. The more beautiful ones are normally in front of the bar close to the entrance door, and further back are the less beautiful / older ladies. All the way in the back are some hookers, but they are really so disgusting looking that I don't want to touch them.

You can get a BJ in the back, I've never tried that though.

The dance halls are highly recommended, though you need to be able to speak some Chinese to get anywhere. The girls are always a bit reserved until they understand you can communicate. There more Chinese you speak the more chances of fun.

So the Dance Halls are still pretty fun, I have enjoyed going there and will keep going. I find the afternoons are best, very easy to have your pick of girls and lots of them are just grateful for being picked at all.

To answer an earlier question, yes I am a typical white guy, 6'2" American and somewhat overweight. The girls don't seem to mind and all say I'm handsome, which is just good psychology on their part. Anyway, it is still a little unnerving to go it alone into these places filled with only Chinese, but my biggest problem is that I can't seem to get over wanting to make an impression with these girls as being a "good guy" so I don't let my hands roam as much as I want to. I speak Mandarin pretty OK and I talk to the girls and sort of try to get to know them, when I should just be groping. I guess in a massage I feel like the girls know what I want and I know what they are getting but dancing is more of a romantic sport and I can't help feeling like a dirty old man sometimes.

By the way I was in Xi'an a couple of months ago and typed in the WuTing characters on my map app and found 5-6 of them there, the one I went to had you pay 20 RMB and sit on a couch that was sort of assigned to you and the songs were 10 RMB each but they were super short and had all these bouncer looking guys everywhere and the selection was pretty poor. I'll try this in other cities too and report back, but Suzhou seems to be very good pickings compared to the other Dance Halls I've tried elsewhere. Lucky us!

One other quick review, those of you in SIP, on SuHui Road between XingHan Street and XingYuan Street there is a place called "Garden Health Spa" or something like that with green signage on the north side of the road. It has a 398 RMB massage that is one hour with he included. I have tried #99 who was great but didn't return after Chinese New Year and had #22 who was pretty good, she was cute and didn't do enough during the back rub to get me going, but she had some good mouth moves on the flip that got me going and I'll return. I will try some others there too.

They have a card you can buy there for 1000 RMB to get 200 RMB free, so you can effectively get 3 massages (400 RMB ach) for 1,000 if you buy the card. 333 is kinda spend compared to the Elephant, but the rooms are nice and you get a better service.
