Alright my northern brothers. Scratch post #128. I've got some serious intel for you. I am extremely happy to give this report, and give back to this board. Here goes:

The other night, I began hunting. All attempts to find ground level open pink shops failed. As a last ditch, I decided to visit the spot in #128. Upon circling around, I got lost. And that's when I found them.

First, it was three. 3 places, bright pink shops. Door wide open. 3 super cute girls in each, sitting there in their underwear. I had to double back, triple take. My brain couldn't process it.

Upon circling the block. There were more! On on each parallel side. Same deal. I decided to make a few circles and investigate before trying my luck. There were guys in headsets circling the block. To be honest, the openness of it all gave me extreme anxiety, but I am new to this whole thing.

So I decided to say Hello, to a headset man. I asked how much. He said: 100 RMB. My eyes widened, again. I laughed. I went to one of the singular shops on the side, away from the main chunk. They said: 100. A girl took me back. Upon seeing my size, gave me my money back. Ha! I went back to the mama in front, asked about mouth service. She said 400. I left.

I circled back to the main chunk that had 3 in a row. Went into the left most door. Waved away. Went into the right most door. Waved away. Middle door. 100. I grinned, pick my girl, and we went back. Now, to note: The owner DID try to say 200 as we were heading back, but I think she felt it was too late to up-charge. 100 must be the local price. 200, foreigner price.

Service was good. I was nervous. I hate condoms. She extended my time for 100 and got me up again without cover. I thanked her, and got pushed out the back door. My mind was reeling.

Now, it was my mission to figure out what the full deal was here, so I hit up a driver that brought me around the other night. We talked a bit. He seemed unaware of this place. I'm unsure if he is now just miffed that he will lose his commissions from bringing me to these overpriced 600-700 RMB wham-bam / sauna shops, but he has became unresponsive at crucial moments, so I switched up.

I contact my banker friend who speaks good English. Gave full disclosure. He laughed. He is also amazed the price is so low, says he has only found 300. So, I give him the map. He says "oh, I looked it up on maps, "HEISHAN" street". Quite famous in Harbin, and they exist for many years. " I set up a time next week to go with him.

The thing is, my brain is still reeling. The urge to go back and let known what I want (mainly BBBJ, due to preference, as well as acceptance rate with the shops that turned me away) is piercing daggers in me.

I headed back at midnight. I go to the middle shop again. I show them a translated note that says "thank you for accepting me, this is a tough town for us. " They smile, and a more bubbly girl than my first says some things I'll never understand. So I take this girl back.

She's nicer, more friendly, and has a better attitude than my first. Great service, mouth wise. She takes out a condom, and I ask her to finish via mouth without it. She says it's 300. I did not know if she meant in addition too, or total, so I wrap up and have FS. It was great.

Now, we're done. We chat a bit. This is my chance. I ask for her Weixi. She gives it to me. Then, I show her a really long translated message, thanking them profusely, asking about safety concerns, asking if they do delivery, prices, etc. She does a finger walk, and says no. They cannot leave. BBBJCIM is 300, total. I didn't try to talk this down, just yet.

So, I leave. She adds me on Weixi. She calls herself "Juzi" (or, "Orange" I dig through her Weixi photos. Just a normal girl leading a normal life. I tell her thank you. She says "It doesn't matter. We are friends. ".

Now, I am laughing my ass off. My mind is wholly blown by the whole thing. I try to prod for info, like, was I denied by your neighbors just due to size? Is every shop owned by different bosses? I don't get very far. She said the other girls don't know her, but this may be a bad translation.

Either way, it seems this is the deal:

These are 100 RMB shops. The middle door of the street with 3 shops in a row, is the only that accepted me, and they charged me 200. I am willing to bet you could get FS for 100, if you play your cards right, or spoke decent Mandarin.

My girl this particular night, Jizu, charges 300 BBBJCIM / and I *believe* 200 for shooting outside the mouth. (for her. I will try to lower this via telling them about repeated business.) I do not know if this is just her price.

So, there you have it.

A few words:

- Be nice! A smile and humility will go a long way in these places. The owner seems like a nice guy in his late 50's. Shook my hand with a grin, etc.

- Do not pay more than 200 RMB for FS, or they may go hog wild on all of us. Try to angle them back down to 100. I will, too.

- The whole BBBJ thing, this may just be northern rules / thinking, charging 200/300. I will try and get this down.

Another note:

These are just the shops in the area that are wide open for all to see. I saw a crowd of young drunk dudes going down a Christmas light lined staircase, no sign, no pink. God knows what's down there, but I didn't have the balls to go with 'them.

It was amazing how much more comfortable I was in round 2, and it made all the difference. I will bring a new translation tonight, and try to gain access to the left and right most doors, before exploring the other side streets.

So, there you have it friends. A serious haven in NE China. I had a feeling it existed, but we just couldn't find it. I think they exist in every city, we just don't know where. None of the taxi drivers brought me here, even though it was a block away from their go to place. Perhaps they assumed I would not be accepted.

Use this information wisely, and don't mess this up for me. Ha! I am heading back again tonight.

Ha. Working on it! I have all sorts of motivation to learn it. Tough, indeed.

Going to hit this newly-found, insane spot again at least twice in the next couple days and make sure everything is on the up and up and I didn't just get one (of three) accommodating door-men.

We're talking six 100 RMB shops, doors wide open, window shopping style, with cuter girls than I have ever seen in any place I have been here.

Bonkers. Tasking a driver to deliver a note / liaison some things for me, for a fee.

Will give a very detailed report either way.

Here's a larger update for you Harbiners, with a current state of the scene from a long night out last night:

So it seems the current state of Harbin is tough town for service under 600 RMB now, the majority of places going a little higher.

I headed back to that "Water of Love Leisure Shop" originally detailed in post #122, and I no longer recommend it as a first option. The owner is sort of condescending, and there was a big to do this time for my 700 RMB for FS. After some back and forth about cover for a BJ, I got no shower, nothing, just a room, and time-watchers. Very rushed deal. The girl wasn't very good, but the whole experience was about a 5/10. BBBJ was weak, and she was a spitter. Switched to FS due to being turned off, and it was star-fishy. I will say my first girl was very good, but I did give her 200 RMB extra. I figured out that the girls ask you for 200 RMB each time, but you don't have to give it to them. That must go to them. I told them I gave the guy up front 700. In the end he sort of condescendingly remarked he wanted me to give him 100 RMB for a "thank you" and I did just that, but made it clear their service is really lacking. All in all, for 700 RMB, man. You shouldn't feel made fun of. Would still like someone else opinion.

Anyways,

I had a long night out with a taxi driver who gave me his Wechat, will help in future runs, had fast internet and a translation app. So unless I am wrong, the following points stand:

I have randomly struck gold in Haerbin. Seriously. Absolute gold.

Give me a week or so to figure some things out. I have a driver who is going to try and angle this, and gather more information in a safe manner.

Let's just say there is a block of places so out in the open it made me the most anxious I have ever been going there, but it was a success.

It's right in front of everyones face. In a big way.

Stumbling upon this in Harbin just goes to show you, taxi drivers don't know everything, even the good ones, and if you hunt hard, what you seek is available.

Sorry to be so cryptic. This is insane.

- Shanghai Tan is closed.

- Imperial Family Baths was closed at 1 AM, but I will check with my taxi guy to confirm.

- Jianianhua is a nice sauna, but 700 RMB for a decent massage + HJ, 1500+ for FS.

- The "Harbin Rose" club mentioned below's menu, services start at 1900 RMB. It's a fetish and lace shop. Probably killer / sexy massage, but damn that's expensive.

My driver said it's tough to find service for foreigners for 3-400. He says there's a number of small shops, but the price may be higher for "us" he will look into that for me.

The best place I have found so far, cost wise, and girl wise, is pictured below. I'll try and get the name. I'm still a bit confused whether this is a sauna, or just a hotel / wham bam thanks.

It seems like this place is a go to for taxi drivers bringing around foreign punters. 600 RMB, all in. CBJ / FS. Not sure what else is on offer, but I'll figure it out as we go.

This driver, he's going to try and figure out some other spots for me.

I cannot imagine there aren't any spots like the old Imperial / Shanghaitan / Xiang. It's crazy, but I guess it's been a while since those existed.

Could really use someone else on the ground here.

Going to go silent for a bit as I need to focus on work + saving some dough.

Update: Don't bother with the place in post #124. Taxi drove me on a mission past there again, and they waved me away without me even getting out. No foreigners.

Hit Jianjianhua again. Figured out a bit more how it works. Baths are around 60 RMB. Massage upstairs in a nice room is 328 RMB. You pay double that for HJ. I don't think I'll go back. It's too expensive for what you get, despite the great baths.

Focus on post #122. Would love someone else's experience.

I found another spot via taxi. 600 RMB. Pretty good experience, but definitely felt like there were clock watcher radio headset dudes hanging in the halls. They were sheepish with a card, and tore off the bottom of it, leaving me the address. Let me get back there for another round before I give a full report.

Okay, continuing on, and getting better with minimal effort:

I jumped in a taxi. I used "Anmo" + "Xiao Jie", and said "Jiannianhua" (the first place where I went too deep) "Tai Gue LE", and "Shanghai Tan Feng Bi (closed)?

I am *pretty sure* he acknowledged that Shanghai Tan is closed. Someone, please triple check. I'm no longer going to waste my time on it.

Anyways. It took me a while, but in my dreadful Mandarin, I kept saying "Jiannianjua too expensive, and Shanghai Tan is closed? Massage girl? Te Fe?" . He got the picture.

He asked me "Er Bai, San Bai?" I said "San Bai OK".

At this point, I have no clue where we are, but he pulls over, and points. I don't know any of these Chinese characters. I go in, girl at the front desk, dude with a headset. I ask "Anmo, Xiao Jie?" Headset guy says a bunch of stuff I don't understand, with "No" at the end. I go round and round with the guy with my zero knowledge of Mandarin, and leave. He was nice enough. I think this is probably a Chinese only place? God knows. Anyways, I (DO) have the photo of the outside of this place, if anyone with good Chinese wants it and think they can manage. Didn't bother with cross streets or anything.

So, I jump another taxi. Same deal. I'm easy-going still, I point to the place that just denied me, add an upward question-inflection, and say "Mao Laowai? Jianianhua Tai Gue LE. Shanghai Tan Feng Bi?" Same deal. I add Te Fe into the mix.

Dude drops me off at THIS place (photos of store-front + ADDRESS in Chinese attached), and we are WAY out here, like 20 RMB back to my place out there.

I go on, and hear a yell, and head down the stairs to the right. 4 crazy-ass tattoo'd banger dudes are sitting there smoking cigarettes, and a cute girl is working the front desk. One of the head guys is nice, goofy. Says "Hello,! Welcome!" and makes a pelvic motion before I can even say "Anmo" . I laugh, I say my Chinese is bad (another rookie mistake, but I was nervous. This is obviously a den of some seriously locals only shit.).

I say "San Bai", he says no. Starts making the motions. I can't be sure because we went around a bit, but it was about 5-600 RMB for a HJ / BJ. I try haggling down to 400. Finally, he agrees, but it just comes back around again later.

I head through a door, get paper pants, and there's lockers. Lockers! Showers! It was kind of funny to me, because this place was pretty gnarly. Tons of headset guys walking around, all grinning and trying to talk to me. I didn't feel bad though. It was a funny scene. I honestly think they were amazed I even found the place. I have no idea what the hell the place is supposed to be, or what those characters are in the front (see photo). Can anyone tell me?

Anyways, I put paper pants on, and am led not through any of the main doors, but a tiny side door, into what looks like a hotel. I get put into a small hotel room, and the bed, again, is pretty gnarl. Not like, alleyway gnarl, but I'm glad I had a few.

A girl pops her head in with a headset guy. Not the greatest. So I steal another line from this thread and all but fail in saying "Ran Wo Xuan" (Let me choose is what I thought this means. ") Maybe my Chinese is just total garbage. But the guy doesn't get it. I finally say "1/2/3/4" and make a circle with my hands. He goes and gets 4 girls. None of them are super amazing in the face, so I choose the best bod. Before she starts, she points about, and says "Er Bai" . I guess I needed to throw in 600 regardless. She makes me go and get it, and give it to a headset guy.

What followed, anything went that I wanted. BBBJ, FS, whatever. She did what I asked. Can't complain. I will surely head back and see if I can poke my head in to see who's there, before I throw down. Or I could just get zonked. Either way.

Anyway. This was all done in about an hour, with minimal frustration.

Again, I have no idea where the hell I was, but I eventually went back in to the place after failing to find street signs for you all, and the cute lady at the front desk wrote the Addy down. That one's for you, ISG!

Again again, I have no idea what the hell this place is supposed to be, but there were some dozy folks, including some uniformed fella in there, so they're obviously paying up.

Harbin is chill as hell.

I'll be out for a few weeks, but someone take these things / situations, and run with 'them.

I have a feeling there's dozens of these types of spots around.

New user, and and very, very new to the whole scene. Embarrassingly so.

I will be in and out of Harbin for quite some time, so I'm hoping I can add something to this very dead forum, over the months.

So, let's get into it:

I decided before I jumped straight into the bath-houses, I'd scope around locally, in a totally residential area, near no major tourist landmarks. Even in a 20 minute walk, there were MP's all over the place. The area doesn't really matter so much, as it was a bust either way. A few things of note, though:

Even at 8 PM, there were girls everywhere. Tons of KTV's. I'd side-eye the stairs downward, and there were dimly lit rooms with girls waiting. I don't know if these are waiting areas foe KTV's, or what. Either way, I have a feeling this whole city (and any city in China) is like this. If you're here for any extended period of time, just walk around, and see what you can get into.

After some circling, I decided to bat the anxiety, and hopped into the first of 2 MP's that just has the classic neon "massage" signs. The first, there was a decently cute, young girl, and a young dude there. I think this was just her house. I asked how much, and she said 30. I agreed, and we headed to a hilariously decrepit, cold back room. On the water damaged wall were paper hearts and the words "love". I laughed. She whispered something about "San Bai" (300) and I nodded. I took my clothes off, and laid stomach down. She gave me probably the worst massage I've ever gotten. I thought it was some sort of joke. She kept trying to talk to me in Chinese, and my Mandarin is just dreadful so far, so that went nowhere. I kept saying "Fe Te" and pointing at certain things, and she said no, with some sort of explanation in a whisper that I couldn't understand. I don't know if this is like some sort of take-away place, or what, but something was up. That's no MP. After some awkwardness, I gave her 30 RMB and bailed. Strike out, I guess.

The next place was half a block down. I jumped in. There were two older ladies, and a cute young girl sitting on the bed. I asked in my crappy Mandarin, "Massage? How much? She said 200 RMB. I pointed at the younger girl. This is where my inexperience came into play super hard. A super crappy massage begins. 5 minutes later, what I assume was some sort of Mama (or the girls mom or something) popped her head in, made a BJ motion, and said 400. I should tried negotiating down to 300, but no go. She kept motioning toward my jacket, so I figured WTF. I had some dough to burn to test his out and get comfortable. This is where things got a bit weird. She covered me, and would go down for like 10 seconds, all the while the two older ladies were chattering away. I couldn't even get hard. The lady kept whispering to me, some sort of mix of what I think was a number of minutes I don't understand, a phone. I still have no idea. Long story short, I ended up giving her *another* 200 RMB for FS, she'd barely even let me feel her chest, and the other older lady came in to watch. There was a knock on the door in between, but nothing happened. I was freaked out then. All in all, I stayed soft as a peach, and dropped 800 RMB for basically nothing except a weird time.

Anyways, at this point I decided the hell with it, and took a taxi to Shanghai Tan.

I think Shanghai Tan might be closed. It was only about 11 PM when we rolled up, and it was super dark. Like, shuttered dark. Basement level look not even open. Can re-confirm later.

I was bleeding money anyways at this point, and luckily I had enough information from this thread saved in my phone, so I headed to the other Sauna listed on that Harbin Wiki page that's not Shanghai Tan.

The place is called 嘉24180;21326;; Jiāniánhuá, and it is indeed open for business. I hadn't seen it mentioned on here, so I figured I'd try it in lieu of the Finland place.

Typical Sauna shenanigans. Did the 3 baths, and then went to the front desk and asked for "anmo". The guy motioned to the side room. There were 12-20 plastic tables there, so at first I was a bit worried that's where it'd go down. I went back and forth between the front desk, and the guy just kept nodding me into the main sauna area. Finally, after another bother, he motioned for one of the sauna customers to get me a top and bottom. I did. I went back, and the front desk guy said something like "Chinese Massage"? I said yes. He nodded to the staircase.

The upstairs was nice, a huge lounge, with pool tables, but the place was straight up dead. I walked around a bit, and finally a lady (cleaning lady? No idea.) led me to a room. The rooms were really nice. Comfortable bed. A side table with an ash tray. A knock on the door and a cute girl around 25 came in. At this point I had no idea how much I was in for, but I really needed water. The same lady knocked and came in with water, for 22 RMB. I laughed and said sure. Why not. Really good massage ensued without mention of price (I guess another novice mistake). She asked for the flip. Then she explained pricing to me:

598 RMB, she motioned to taking her top off, grabbing chest, HJ. 1500 RMB to FS. I told her FS was way too expensive. In a weird break in the action, she made me go downstairs and get my money out of the locker (I was in sauna clothes, no pockets). Gave it to her, and she got undone. She let me grab her behind, chest, and moaned. Really nice girl. Took her time, switched positions, and I'm not sure she complained all that much. Didn't seem like it. In the end, she tried explaining to me that the 598 goes to her, and that 200 something was my fee downstairs. Nice girl.

Total damage in the downstairs amounted to like 350 or something. So, all in all, 900 or so. Hell of an expensive HJ, but a pleasant experience.

I am very inexperience, so I'm sure I made a number of (if not all the mistakes) leading to such an expensive evening, but I suppose the only way you can learn is by doing with this type of thing.

Either way, 嘉24180;21326;; Jiāniánhuá is open for business.

I will hunt for this BBS place you are all speaking of, double-check Shanghai Tan, go to the Finland place, do everything else, and report back.

I'll be city hopping for a bit, but I won't leave you high and dry.
