HomemadeBf,
Would you mind telling us about some of the Saunas that you are talking about that can still be found in Wuhan? I plan to go to Wuhan on a trip tomorrow, so I'm.
Hoping for some input!
Last time I went back to Ramada in Optics Valley Square, which was about a month ago, it was closed. Does anybody have reports about this recently?
Is the place back open again?
My only luck so far in Wuhan is with the spa on the Southwest corner of BaoFeng YiLu, 1st Road, and Jianshe Avenue, right between the Best Eastern Hotel and the Yundu Hotel.
There's no FS there anymore as far as I know, but at least it's something.
Please give us some info! Any other massage places that include "extra treats"?

Good info, guys, it seems like I might as well relax and not get my hopes up. I will try walking around and looking for lit up shops at night, but if no avail, no biggy. I'll definitely be using my best manors, as I will only have my smile and google translate.
Has anyone had any experience at the Lake View Garden Hotel?
I might not be able to post a report until after I return in late July, but whether the eagle lands or not, I will let you know how it goes.
All the best.

This is kind of obvious, so apologies to old hands, but it took me a while to work this out. If you know absolutely no-one in a city and you speak no Chinese in a city like Wuhan, you are often reliant on the hotel staff who speak English to give you suggestions about where to eat, where to catch a taxi, and so on. It is really worthwhile being friendly and getting to know any of the staff who speak English, perhaps even being generous with your tipping. In the past I've received some really good recommendations of places to get a good massage or sauna from hotel staff members (not from females though, obviously). Once someone I asked appeared to be offended, but I just pretended that I just wanted a legitimate massage. But all the other times they were happy to make suggestions. I mean, if you ask the question, quietly, with a smile on your face, they know what you're asking. Once I even had the hotel guy take me down to the massage shop, speak to the mamasan in Chinese for me, and a good time was had by all, so the saying goes.

I enjoy going for long walks at night along the main streets when I'm visiting Wuhan. I keep an eye out for small shops, often lit up with pink or blue lights. You will see young women sitting about inside these shops. I generally just walk in and smile, and say ni hao. They'll take care of you from there.
Even during the day, you can sometimes get lucky. Once I can remember, going for a walk, and then being called over by a woman, and invited into her little massage shop. That made me laugh. Just out of the blue, at one moment, you're feeling bored and alone, and then moments later, things have turned out much better.
I would also say that sex (ranging from a hand job to full service) is available at roughly half of all massage shops. I used to have a Chinese girlfriend. When we were having a massage together, she would chat with the massage ladies. In some massage shops, the massage ladies would tell her that they're terribly offended when some of the local men ask them for sex. So clearly, in some shops, extras are absolutely not available. However in other massage shops, the massage ladies would tell her that they would make no money at all if they did not offer extras. They told her, however, that they keep this a secret from their boyfriends and family. If you are friendly and make an effort to communicate with your massage lady, there is a good chance that you may be offered some extras. Even if you speak no Chinese, you can get across what you want with a little bit of effort.
To illustrate this, let me share the following anecdote. On my last visit, at around midnight, I was passing by what I thought was (during the day) a pretty regular massage shop. On the spur of the moment, I decided to walk inside. It was pouring with rain and I was the only customer at that time. The massage ladies took me to the back of the shop. Using my phone to translate, I agreed to pay 60 yuan for an hour massage. There were three massage ladies working that night. I undressed and lay down on the massage table. At first just one lady was massaging me. Then the others started to help her out. They began getting cheeky and teasing me, running their fingers higher up my leg. I speak no Chinese and they spoke no English. But we were soon all laughing. I don't take myself too seriously, and its quite possible they were laughing at my expense. But who cares less. Then I thought, what the hell and I handed each lady a 100 yuan note, and thanked them for their wonderful massage. From there, it was a lot of fun. It was my first and only time with multiple women. They were nothing special in terms of looks, but so what. I had a lot of fun. It was good listening to them talk to their clients and boyfriends on their mobile phones. It was also interesting to see the kind of pornography they had on their mobile phones. After an hour had passed, I paid them another 100 yuan each. I thought, who cares less. This is my chance to feel like a rich man and enjoy three wonderful women. So whether this was too much or a bargain, I just didn't care. I had a really great night. Before I left, they told me to wait at the back, and then they looked out the front door, to see if the police (I guess) were around. There were none about and so they told me to go quickly. This suggests to me, that you need to be a little careful about the authorities when you're at play.

Greetings folks, I will be in Wuhan for a few days for a conference in about a week. It's a rare few days without the family, and my first chance to monger in over 10 years.
Sadly, I know no Chinese, have never been to Wuhan before, and really don't know much about the city.
The conference is at the Lake View Garden Hotel.
Is it hopeless? Can anyone offer any advice, places to go, etc?
Thanks!

It seems like the Wuhan forum here is almost like a dead place. Actually there are many massage places, KTV, Sauna places providing FS. If you want FS, the prices are ranging from 300 to 1000 RMB, depending on the places. But I agree it is a bit of strange if you walk into a KTV as a white or black. You'd better to have some local friends to bring you there. You may also check the Queen's bar at Luo Shi Road, which is close to the Exit the of Jie Dao Kou subway station. I saw some girls were kissing and hugging some Hispanic guys in the bar, and I don't think they knew each other, the girls were not that good looking though, but they were young. There are pretty club girls too, but I think these girls want much more money if you want to take them out for the night. Communication might also be an issue. Overall, Wuhan is not as nice as Shanghai or other more advanced cities in China, because it is not as international as others and I don't think it would be better within the next ten years. So if you don't know places or local people, you pay much more money for the worse services.

In light of what the other person posted, I thought I would post my personal experience about the Ramada as well. This was about 3 weeks ago.
I walked in and was asked to sit in a waiting room. It seemed that I was the only client there. I was about to leave because the price seemed a bit phenomenal, but they stopped me as I was leaving and told me they were ready.
I got a choice of 2 girls. And I think it was Saturday night. I was a bit weary at first, because it seemed like a somewhat legit massage place. No bed or anything inside: just massage table and sofa on the side. But since it seemed to be run by all guys, and the girls had their blouses buttoned down a bit, I figured I would give it a shot. They appeared to be wearing Ramada outfits, which made the place appear semi-legitimate.
I was requested to shower by myself, and the massage was mostly legit. Though I was naked. She kept her clothes on the majority of the time. We talked, and she informed me that she was 18 years old. I was getting nervous that this was just normal service. As I have seen legitimate massage places with prices that high, but about an hour later, she began taking her clothes off.
It was all pretty straight forward after that. Pretty quick BBBJ and then straight fucking. But on the sofa. Not the massage table.
I was somewhat disappointed because the majority of the service was just a normal massage, and there was nothing special, like cat baths, fire and ice, or anything.
But I have never had a girl that young and cute before, so I think it was worth it to me. I couldn't believe she was doing this kind of thing! I was also happy to have found a legit place in Wuhan. Nanchang has nothing.
-I checked out the Optics Valley Hotel as well. Which was right up the street from the Ramada and reported about before. Though I walked into their spa, and it seems as if it's now a legitimate deal. Maybe they have another sauna somewhere else on another floor, and I just didn't get the chance to find it?
There was another place I went to that was also pretty good which I found searching down below. I will report about that later. Though it seems they no longer have FS.
