    Dana,

    If there is a Hell on Earth, your situation is it in my view. But you are taking it well...

    Meatman,

    Are you in Bangkok now? I believe someone recently posted the number for Edens, but you can find it easily I'm sure. Just call and talk to Marc, the proprietor, before you go and ask if has a problem with race and his business. It is smart to call anyways to set up an appointment.

    My advice to you is the same as to anyone living large in the sukhumvit sex strip. No matter where you are, no matter what time of the day, if you see a girl that compels you and she returns your stare, she will probably be agreeable to servicing you, so get her number for future use. If you can't make eye contact or she is too far away, go for it anyway. One of my best memories was this dream I saw walking down the street (early afternoon) in a short red dress cut just above the knees. By time I caught up to her she was on a busy street corner full of people but I asked for her number, got it, and scored that night.

    Just go for it...

    Hey Guys,
    I just got back from Patpong, and the gogo bars were almost empty! There were plenty of hot babes to go, but no customers at all. Also, I saw the prettiest gogo girl ever in King's castle 2. She looked like a Thai version of Catherine Zeta Jones or something. Flawless. I don't know her name or number, but she'll be easy to pick out if you go there. I was there with my girlfriend who used to work there, so I couldn't act too interested, but she did tell me that there are NO ladyboys allowed to dance on stage there.
    Anyway, If someone wants to go and get her, good luck. Unfortunately, I can't go there to BF any girls because they all know me now.

    Sup Fellas I'm back!

    Hey one thing I like to say is that I am impressed with the responses on the Bangkok board thanks to all for the info.

    One thing I had to add Im not the one to back off from a thrill.You guys have said the right things to make me want to give it a try.

    I'm one of the guys who gets along well with anybody no matter where the place is. I grew up in a mutliracial setting(Though it's Boston) and therfore I am comfortable in a multiracial crowd.Im not going to make a huge fuss out of this I just want to get to know the "Land Of Smiles" and even if it is worth the time from my own point of view.,I havent seen any group of people, in the US or abroad, who have there act together on the subject of race black included(lord knows in trying!) My Asian friends tell me that I'm "Quiet" and have a manner that is compatable to many Asian sensiblities(generalization of course).

    A person who is warm,generous, and fun to be with will do A-OK in Bangkok.Again thanks to all. I'll be chiming in here from time to time

    Oh,.......Rumor is that the Eden Club does not want blacks in. PLEASE anybody with info on this say it isn't so!,say it isn't so!! I had my heart set on going there.

    This little gogo dancer I met earlier this year from NaNa plaza said when a customer asks her where she learned to speak english so well, she says "I learned english at school....Playskool."

  6. #960
    Taodan,

    They all say they learn it in school ... they all say they just started working .... take EVERYTHING a bar girl says with a grain of salt, the truth is that while some of them learnt english at school, most pick it up from their customers, as well as bits and pieces of other languages, German, Dutch, etc ... the better they speak english, the longer they have been in the trade.

    taodan;

    They mean, they take english classes in school. Not sure whether it's early like the elementary level or later as in highschool, but that's where they learn. Same as in Japan, Korea, etc. Thai girls just have more chances to practice it, due to the high number of tourists.

    Do bargirls take English classes before they work at the bar? Or they learn from their customers? All bargirls, the one I talked to, all told me that they took English classes when I asked them how did they learn to speak English. And also when I asked them how long have they been working, they all told me that they just started working either couple months or couple weeks. I didn't believe in what they said but I found it amusing when I tried to play first timer in go-go bars. Has anyone run into the same situation when one asked those bargirls with that kind of questions?

    DJ,

    Back home I hike, climb, do gym workouts, etc., etc; but in Bangkok the only excercise was boinkin' twice a day so only the 3rd leg was tired!

    My solution was to take long walks each day in those late morning early afternoon "empty" hours. I had previously lived in Thailand two years so had no interest in the specific tourist attraction around town, I just wanted to walk FAST. Believe me KS road was merely a destination picked off the map although I knew about those granola eatin' vermin called backpackers!

    Sandog,

    How!!!!! He! he! he! How can you miss Angel Witch? I think I know the answer which happened to Trent Green earlier; he let an aggressive bargirl manhandle him into a Gogo short of his destination. In this respect I agree with "Z" and others in that we should be a bit more James Bond like. If your on a mission try and complete it! Focus a bit which means keeping your eyes open -NOT ONLY THE THIRD EYE EITHER!

    Tonydasnake you WALKED from Nana to KS Rd?!? Dang you a hiker or somethin? I'm surprised you did it in 3 hours. So you were broke after looking at the Gogo girls and needed a really cheap place to stay and walked all the way to KS Rd?

    For guys who are broke and horny there are inexpensive accomadation around Nana that would be a better choice then KS Rd. It is stupid to go there as cabs costs between 80-220baht(rush hour) and there's no skytrain.

    I stayed at KS Rd at Buddy Lodge it was 1800baht/day with my own balcony. I've seen cheap hotels around Nana from the skytrain station. Don't go to KS Rd just for the cheap rooms unless you want a small room shared by 5 stinkin guys who hasn't bathed. There are places around Nana that's not much more then KS Rd if you want to have your own room. Just look around. There are hotel rooms for 700 baht or less.

    I personally don't go for those and stay at 1 or 2 bedroom luxurious suites myself.

    Sandog;

    Here's a website that has a good description of the location of Angel Witch. 2nd Floor of Nana. Amazing how many guy's miss the place. I think the problem is all of the distractions, while walking around the place!

    The site below has a layout, which is incomplete\outdated, but it shows where Cassanova (lady boy bar) is, which is the reference point.

    Tonydasanke,

    Thank for the info. By the way, I tried to look for the Angel Witch go go bar but could not find it. I know it is in Nana Plaza which is a cross from Nana hotel, can you help me to local this bar. I heard that they have a lot of busty girl. I like honey with large size buss.

    Thanks,

    Sandog

    yogo10,

    Tonydasnake is right, getting anywhere on foot in Bangkok can be a problem, the Bangkok motorist doesn't see pedestrians as having right of way or any right at all for that matter !! ... but I supect you were asking not what action was around Khao san rd, but how to get to Nana from there, as I guess Khao san is where you are staying ?? ... if so, I and I am sure the other members on the board would suggest staying closer to the action near Sukhumvit Rd, Thailand is one special country for many reasons, which is why we all go there !! .... not the least for the huge range of accomodation, be it budget or 5 star, there are decent rooms for almost the same cost as a backpackers hostel.

    yogo10,

    Khao San road is not far from, lets say, Nana Plaza as the crow flies, but this is Bangkok, and you do have to go clear across the city as it is near the Chao Praya river.

    I walked there (3 hours) from Nana, but even walking somewhere takes longer in Bangkok since it's not Ped friendly; anyway, I can't give you info on buses, but no doubt you could get that info from a hotel's travel service desk.

    Don't go there for the action (girls)! However, it is good to find backpackers, really cheap food and lodgings, markets, and cheap buses to Cambodia.

    Don't want you to get the impression, that Ratchadapisek is the only place for soapies. Read the Bangkok tonight website, and it gives you a rundown on all of the places with maps. It's a great website to read. It also has a discussion board that you can read, which offers others opinions and reviews of each location, and also info on escort services for after hours fun. I have Darlings a clear notch lower than Poseidon, Emmanuelle, etc. But everyone has their own opinions on the subject. I would suggest trying one of the Ratchadapisek parlors, one of the Nana area parlors like Darlings, and make the rounds of Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, Patpong, and possibly Clinton Plaza. If you have 4-5 days, you should be able to do them all. You will get a well rounded experience of BKK! Think of it as a buffet .. complete with dessert!

    Dick Johnson;

    Yes, I think most would agree that 1,000 baht tip is a tad high, but it's what I like to pay. 500 is fine.
