zb was closed a few months ago for improper paperwork and permits. that was part of the normal start-up problems businesses (particularly mp's and adult businesses) often face in cr. this last episode is much more serious involving **** prostitution and several of the managers will be doing actual jail time as a result. hopefully, zb will still re-open but this situation is definitely altogether different.

I will be in San Jose from Aug 26 to Sep 2...this trip will be my 59th trip to celebrate my 59th birthday on Aug 28. It is being billed as the Second Annual Don Gordo Birthday Bash and the festivities will begin around 5pm at the Blue Marlin. We will probably have a good sized group of guys going to an early dinner at Costa del Sol and after that...who knows???
We had a big group last year and I am sure that we`ll have another good turnout this year.

Dawgs. Mongers. Anyone paying more then viente mil, 20,000 colones at the del ray is BRAIN DEAD. I was even quoted a price of 20,000 c on a mid afternoon saturday walk into the DR on 7/24. That was for two woman; not one. Do yourselfs a favor and take a walk around town. Some #10's to be had for 4100 colones; thats $9.33 at this weeks exchange, and thats for 1 hour. In some of the NON white Palace's of business. average 10,000 - 12,000. Remember get out and walk around, clear the fog / fat away from that brain that would even think for a moment to spend $100.00. Dont ruin the economy. Idem is a ok. As is Oasis. and just up the street a short walk is. well I'll save that for my next post. de pulfos show was very disapointing Sunday night 7/25. no bottle show or ice cube shooters. not even Lesbian show. Thanks for the tip about the Holiday Inn Stright 1.5 hour massage and facial: $40.00 US. It was well worth it. Even left a 2000 ($4.55) colone propina.

Peluqeria Bikini is LONG gone. You and me and I'm sure many members here hope that NF reopens soon. It should be pointed out that the same thing happened to the old Arte Sauna and they never reopened, but that place was dump even before it was raided. NF has a lot more going for it. We'll just have to wait and see. Here is the info on NF:

I was in San Jose a couple of weeks ago and spent time in New Fantasy, Zona Blue, and of course the Del Rey. Sorry to hear about what happened to NF, the girls were very nice (as in personality) and I hope they can open up again. The funny thing about the raid was I went to Zona Blue on a Sunday, they were closed, we struck up a conversation with a couple of local policia before heading over to NF. They mentioned that Bella Mansion had the best girls - where they started out before heading to NF or the Del Rey. Funny that they busted the place about a week after some policia mentioned it to us.

I like NF and ZB becuase the prices are set, and I am awful at neogotating. I only talk to a girl when I'm interested, and by that time, I'm not thinking with the right head.

My favorite steakhouse in El Peublo closed down, but got info on another one in Escazu - El Novillo Alegre (phone 288-4995). It's in the Argentinean district, and of course they have Argentiean beef (4900 colones - about $11). It's a very good sized steak and a must try if you are in San Jose for a while.

Other than a one-night stop in 2001, my last time in San Jose was in 1998. The bars are alot more attractive now and there are twice the number of women available than before. The Blue Marlin restaurant has raised their prices alot and no longer does the bar have a happy hour dinner appetizer special for 400 colones like it once did to to bring in the girls around 6 pm.

Alot of pretty girls, some dogs too, at the Del Rey last week. Especially on Friday night and Saturday night. All ask for $100 for an hour, $300-500 todo la noces. If you counter offer 22,000 Colones ($44) they will think about the money and often accept.

Interesting to see Jennifer, a girl with 3 kids, who I did 6 years ago, still working at the Del Rey. Fairly attractive face, but now overweight. Would be in better shape if she was an aerobics instructor instead of working while on her back. Saw a few other of the same girls I recall seeing 6 years ago in the bar area. Sad to see the girls do not graduate, in 6 years, to marriage or some other job.

Overall a nice recreational weekend trip.

I'm Finally going to c.R., but will be accompanied by significant other. Pre-negotiation with her has gotten me permission to get a massage, maybe visit Pelicuria Bikini for a "manicure." (heh heh). I'll be in SJO Sept. 13-15, Quepos Sept. 15-18, and then back to SJO for the weekend. Staying well outside the Gulch. However, if you see a blind guy with short medium-brown hair, nicely dressed Anglo, it might be me. Say hello and ask "WSG?" that way I'll know we're bros.
Does anyone have the street coordinates for P. Bikini? Monaco? N.F.? (I'll bet it will be reopened by the time I get down there). TIA for any/all assistance.
