The inside scoop on the NF/Bella Mansion raid was that it was because one of the girls working there was found to be a few months shy of her 18th birthday.

Anyone ever go to La Bella Mansion? That is a new one on me!

Too bad about New Fantasy getting closed down! I read a lot of guys downing it, but I loved it! Hell, even if some of the girls were only 6's or 7's, it was worth it for the sauna and massage and shower! And I had a 9 there named Carolina, who was Fantastic in bed, AND gave me a great full body massage!

Hope they're open again when I go down again (pun intended) in a couple of months!

The idea of a complaint shutting them down - if that is indeed the case, which I have my doubts - reminds me of the situation here with the FCC. Some asshole writes and complains about some radio show and the next thing the FCC is handing down hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars in complaints. Makes it too easy for an organized group to cause major damage to a business when there really is no problem for the vast majority. It's all such bullshit!

Heard via another site that the New Fantasy was raided and shut down this week along with La Bella Mansion.The complete story is in AM Costa Rica.Seems the same guy owns both establishments.Politics or a missed payoff no doubt.Damn I will be there next month and frequent NF!!!........mule

Cops raid two prostitution businesses in city
New fantasy catered to expats

Police raided two sex operations late Wednesday, and the man in charge said this is the beginning of a crackdown on such businesses.

The man, Paul Chavez, credited Internet Web pages for helping provide evidence in the case. He is director of the Centro de Información of the Fuerza Pública. Despite its non-threatening name, this is the unit that handles certain complex cases.

Raided was New Fantasy on Avenida 9, Barrio Amon, and La Bella Mansión on Avenida 11 between calles 1 and 3.

Some 65 officers participated in the twin raids. Although a report from the Ministerio de Gobernación, Policía y Seguridad Pública said the 15 female prostitutes were liberated, Chavez said his men were met with considerable hostility from the women.

Two persons were arrested, one at each location. At New Fantasy, the administrator, a woman identified by the last name of Suazo, was detained for six months preventative detention. At La Bella Mansión, a man with the last name of Carballo was detained, officials said.

According to an English language internet publication today, both New Fantasy and Bella Mansion were raided and closed yesterday after a six-month investigation. The reason was reportedly because of complaints from neighbors. The article stated that the authorities are aware of other similar establishments in downtown San Jose, but they haven't received complaints. The workers were released, but the administrators at each location were arrested and others are being sought. Both places are owned by the same people.

Yep! You have to watch your change at Monaco. They did the same thing to me with a $20 bill in May when I was there. I guess he's happy that the gringo business is picking up and figured he'd take a bonus on the low 7000c that he charges for services.

Who knows. I learned my lesson, only one 1000c. at a time.

I didn't get a chance to post about my last day in San Jose, which was last Monday. In the morning I stopped by New Fantasy for the third time, and for the third time I didn't see anything I liked. I don't know what it is, but this place just made a bad first (and second...) impression, especially comparted to Zona Blue.

So, off to Zona Blue. I sat around for a moment in the bar/chica area and passed out some chocolate to the waiting girls. My standby Brenda was there, but a cute Nica kept grinning at me, so I decided to change things up a bit and excused myself to a room with her. Her name's Vanessa and she's fairly dark, large breasts and has a bit of a tummy. She also has extremely soft skin, and, most importantly, gave the best CBJ I've ever had. Not that I'm an expert or anything, but this was the first time I've ever busted a nut as a result of a CBJ.

Well, after a week in San Jose and Manuel Antonio, I'd have to say that I rate Zona Blue very highly if you don't mind paying the $45 or so. For the more budget minded, hit the Molino Rojo. I'll have to check out IDEM and the others next time.

I speak Advanced Spanish, but you will have no problem with girls even if you speak no Spanish at all. Of course, it is easier to converse and spend time with them if you do, but as for just striking up a quick relationship and getting comfortable with them before heading upstairs or to your hotel, Intermediate - or even Beginning - Spanish is fine.

I'm surprised you didn't know about the rooms upstairs at Club Monaco. When I asked my girl about going back to my hotel, she immediately told me we could go upstairs for 7k colones. I immediately did the colones-to-dollars math and thought , "Fifteen dollars? For you, baby! That is a bargain made in Heaven!" I honestly do not remember if they had fans or not, but I think they did. They were not hot, although it was late evening. The rooms were your standard flop-house rooms, though a bit cleaner than some. I love the place! For the money, you can't beat Club Monaco! It will be on my itinerary every time I pull into SJ!
