First time poster, long time reader. Have a 15-HR layover in AD in July and hoping to try some new delicacies (Uzbek, Kazak, Kyrg) other than Asian if possible.

Question. Is there anything worth exploring near the Capital Center area on Fri night? Or just stick to this list and hope for a good takeout?

Any recommendations for any of these being daytime pickup points?

And finally. Is Cellar the Uzbek bar in reference to HJ?

Just stick to Illusions and khorosho imo, if you don't have a lot of time.

Can someone confirm Cellar is the Uzbek bar at HJ that's been referenced here? And is it really the central Asian cuisine on offer as the name suggests?

The list of most prominent takeout spots seem to be in the Cornish area. Anyone has any advice for Capital Center area? How about the rooftop bar at Aloft?

My opportunity of window is the 15 HR layover in AD. This forum has been absolutely phenomal this far. Thanks all for sharing. I promise to reciprocate after my trip at the end of July.

- 'Khorosho' at Dana Hotel, on the penthouse level, comes alive 10-12 PM, different nationalities, some Russian. 100 to get in which gets you 2 drink tokens.

- 'The Trap' at Dana hotel on the mezzanine. Mostly African, sometimes central Asians, I. E. Kazaks, Azerbaijanis. Opens at 7 PM these days.

- '49 ers' at LE Meridian. Moved here recently. Not to many posts on quality of girls.

- 'Captains Arms' at LE Meridian. Seperate club and entrance.

- 'Rockbottom Cafe' / Club, at Al Dair Capitol. Sometimes good quality.

- 'Uzbek bar' at Howard Johnson Hotel top floor. Also has ground floor bar but little information on that.

- 'Cyclone' at Novel Hotel. Was Mecure. Blitz was here. Good source for Asian girls. Low quality EE.

- 'Goodfellas' bar at Sheraton. Some girls outside to).

- 'Illusions' at LE Royal Meridian appears good quality but little information. Also has O'Reilly's Irish Pub, and rooftop lounge Stratos. Are they worth a look to?

A big shout out MrKrisps for sharing info with the group and his guidance to visitors like me. Went to AG hotel spa, followed his negotiating guidance to the T and it worked like a charm. Each and every instruction of his worked as expected. From leaving the tip on the table, to composing oneself during negotiations and the bum massage to moroccan girls that helps them calm down and open up. You the man MrKrisps.

Got a 90 min Moroccan bath from a Moroccan lady. The experience of the bath itself was divine, the lady was absolutely professional and had great body strength to scrub away. I was too happy with the experience and was ok not taking extras but as luck would have it, she popped the question. Followed the script and played along, was able to secure FS at 350. Not bad from the quoted 800. Overall the experience was amazing and wouldn't mind repeating alas with some other Arabic lady.

I recall correctly they wanted 250 for 90 minutes Thai massage at the counter.

Negotiate harder I am now at 160 for thai 90 minutes. This was after a number of visits but got them to 180 even on the first visit.

Have been twice. First visit was with a Thai, started at 700 dhs for one shot in 90 minutes, after some back and forth she ended up at 400 for 1 shot, 500 for two, but said we'd enjoy the full 90 minutes. Took the second option. Too much I'm sure, but very good service including great (and very long) OWO on both rounds. Even massage was decent.

I believe if it was 500 two twice in 90 minutes. Great job. Take the Thai girl S fia next time.

Second visit was a Moroccan, booked 1 HR. Extremely limited English and I have no Arabic so negotiation was hard. I had left the tip on the table (though 300 instead of 200 in a bid to short circuit the negotiation). 10 minutes of rubbish massage then extras offered. She was adamant that she wouldn't budge from 800 for FS or 500 for B2B and BJ. 300 for HJ only.650 for FS.

You forgot two things:

1. to walk away.

2. Tell her that you will tell reception to change the girl (she won't even get a commission).

And Most important:

3. you took more money with you in your purse. Meaning you set yourself up for failure even before you started negotiating. So you were not able to say: Take it or leave it but I am not taking a BS 350 HJ or even show the empty pursetrick.

Why you received the BS service: When you caved in on the negotiation. She became the Alpha. She could do anything and get away with it. On the other hand. If you told her to "just massage" she would cave in after 15 minutes of doing a massage that she didn't want to do.
