Went down there last Monday, looks like it's business as usual. Everything is on offer there. Not sure how the old 49 ers was but this one is nice, there's places for you to sit back and observe and the girls aren't super pushy. I didn't see a big range of talent, however having said that I did go on a Monday night, so YMMV on the weekend. I'd go down again on a Thursday / Friday night to see what's on offer. Also not super crowded, but that may change now that the official opening has happened.

Any word on the new 49 ers? Barely managed to get acquainted with the original one so was wondering how this one is panning out (girls / rates / venue, etc).

Visited Porters on Thursday night and found quite a few girls working. Some were full timers, but it seemed most were normal girls with real jobs and looking to supplement their income. Danced with a cute Filipina that was 7/10 and asking 500, finally reminded her it was 2:00 am and the bar was thinning out. She agreed to go for 300, but wanted me to take her friend too and therefore 600. If they were bisexual I would have dropped the cash in a hurry. Well. That's the end of a brilliant space. As some mentioned, nicely stretched out place which could get really crowded and smoky but there were lots of pockets to nestle oneself in. I especially enjoyed the brilliant sea view it had. Critically bagged a tonne of Stanis here from all kinds stans around. Yes, the steaks were great too. I always used a brilliant con to get in without paying the annoying fee. In the last 10 years, I've had at least a dozen memorable babes from here but 2 stood out way beyond anything which didn't even require me to visit the place. All I needed to do was give them a txt while on the plane and they were mine from 6 Pm till next morning for a brill sum of 500 AED. MSOG, drinks, fun times, massage, all so relaxed. Both were Kyrghz and had day time jobs too. These usually have outrageous stories to tell.

I visited Dana hotel this week. They are currently remodeling the space where the 49 er's club was located. 49 er's was already moved to LE Meridian.

I had a chance to visit 49 ers club at LE Mridien, it is bigger and modern. The grand opening is on 9th Jan.

Moreover, will Dana Hotel continue to host their unique clientele, or are they now marked for demolition to pave the way for a taller and more modern building?
