I was in Abu Dhabi for the afternoon, and wanted to visit some. Of my past watering holes. Most the AMP were not there that I knew before. It ihas been awhile. Just sharing a little info for those looking to have fun in AD. I had a transit flight with a layover of about 6 hours at AD last month. I decided to apply for a tourist visa and stepped out since I have a friend staying there. It was around 11.30 pm by the time I left the airport. Thanks to the info on the forum, I first went to LRM and booked a room, and then went to visit my friend. My idea was to spend an hour with my friend and then slip out saying that I am heading back to the airport (he doesn't share an interest in this hobby). Stuck to my plan and got back to LRM at around 1 am. Went to the room which was pretty nice and value for money, and freshened up. Got to Illusion inside LRM itself at about 1. 30 am. Quite a crowd but extremely loud music. There was no entry fee that night (I'm not sure of the other nights). Bought myself a beer and started scouting. Most on the platter were between 5-6, and a few 7 - 7. 5's. I hit up a conversation with a few women that I found interesting. Most agreed on 500 for ST, with OWO ("if you are clean" as the standard line). These were the 7's. There was one particular lady that I really liked and wanted to hit up. Unfortunately she was at a table with a couple of friends and some guys, and she didn't seem to budge from her place. I waited for a while to see if I could get her alone, and then I saw her heading to the washroom. I rushed to wait at the entrance to the washroom to speak with her on her way out but she took for ever to come out! This was a Monday night / Tuesday morning scene, so I believe the crowd and choices would be more during the weekend. This was my first time at AD. Planning a trip to the golden city DXB next week. This would be my trip after 3 long year. Will report in the Dubai forum if I go ahead!

Does one need green status in Al Hosn ap to visit places in Abu Dhabi like malls, restaurants, clubs, tourist places, etc? I am a resident and fully vaccinated but have not taken a Covid test in over 6 months. Please advise.

On an unrelated note, did anyone hear back from Mr. Krisps regarding the options he had in AD? I never got a reply, it would be useful as I'm thinking of taking a quick trip to AD. I do have some great tips on AD from Shiney1 (thank you very much) but if anyone has good Uzbek, Arab contacts that they could pass on, please do send me a PM.
